Arbortext

I made some minor style changes to my styler stylesheet. When I preview PDF with Styler my changes are OK. When I test with PE, my changes are not honored. I restarted tomcat, ensured stylesheets were copied to appropriate folders etc. What am I missing?!

I have an acl function that counts the xref's and resolves the marker. However, it only goes up as high as 26 (a-z), but we have 30+ fn's. Therefore, after z, it needs to restart with ab, ac, ad etc. I hope that makes sense.   So we have in the function the following line: $enumerator = chr(96 + positionWithin($destOid, $scopeOid)); for which i assume is what does the counting. I need to pass a count as $intValue and return a label in the form "a, b, c, ..., aa, ab, ac"

Hello, When I Publish a PDF document with Arbortext Editor (or Styler) using a FOSI, in my PDF file, I have a root bookmark named "Toc". How to remove it or rename it ? Kind regards David

When internet explorer is opened and if i try to open the xml (associated with Arbor text by default) , xml open in IE. If IE is closed then xml opens up in Arbor text without any issues. Could you please help. I want to open the xml in arbor text even if the IE is opened.

How do I use Styler to force oversized graphics to fit within the width and/or height of a page?  I cannot edit the graphic or have the authors/illustrators resize the graphic files. I am using the XSL Print mode and understand that it is no longer supported.   I cannot use the APP Print mode because I've already made custom XSL changes and do not have time to learn how to make custom changes with the APP.  I am using ArborText Editor with Styler Release 7.1.   I have already tried the following XSL, but it has no effect:     <xsl:attribute name="width">8in</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="content-width">scale-down-to-fit</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="scaling">uniform</xsl:attribute>       I can force graphics to a particular size with the following, but it blows up small graphics:       <xsl:attribute name="width">8in</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="conte

I haven't been able to find information anywhere about the release schedule for Arbortext Editor. We're a partner of PTC since we integrate with Arbortext Editor but I don't have any direct contacts at PTC who can help. We've never been in any beta program but we would like to access to early beta builds. Does anyone know when Arbortext 8.0 is scheduled for release and how I can can register for the beta program?

I am looking for an ArborText Styler and APP Source Edits tutorial. I know JavaScript - so that's not an issue. ArborText Styler help has some tips and "cookbooks", but lacks complete documentation for the APP objects, properties and methods. I am looking for something that can show me how the APP JavaScript can create a "Hello, World!" PDF.   Thanks, -James

Hello, I've just been handed a group of technical manuals, in-progress, and been asked to finish them. When I open one of them, I am directed to browse for and link a DTD/Stylesheet. I find the correct one (confirmed it a dozen times, it's the right one!), link, and then immediately get a pop-up error: "[A17120] Assertion failed: aptFalse, file ../src/forsirtns.cpp, line 6025" Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi i am new user for arboertext. I prepere user manuals on arbortext. Curently we need combobox or checkbox in arbortext. Is it possible? If possible how can I? Do you have advice to me for arbotext?

We have one copy of IsoDraw 7.1 and FlexLM installed on a server providing a floating license. The one IsoDraw user recently got a new computer. Now when we point the "PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE" variable to the server, we get the message "License Request Failed for Feature ISODRAW". I checked communications between the server and the PC and found no issues. I was able to use a diagnostic program to successfully talk on port 7788 between the client and the server. All firewalls and antivirus were opened up. The FlexLM log files show that 1 license is available, but don't log any attempts to connect or use the license. Any suggestions?Only one thing I can think of. On the user's previous system, he might have had IsoDraw 7.0. Would a license that supports 7 also support 7.1?

 Our Arbortext Editor terminates with no warning and closes all open Arbortext Editor windows when we try to publish SGML to PDF! Does anyone know of any solution to this problem? Oussama

Hey Guys, we have an Dongle with an Floating License on a CAD PC installet and now we wanted to install it on a new CAD PC and it doesnt work (Error Message: License query for IsoDraw failed) . Now my Questions are if we need to configure the Dongle with the FlexLm Server new or it`s because of the different Versions from the License (7.1) and the Software (7.0 from install CD).   Greetings Timo

I just open our template, apply new modification, save and close, and when i click apply in entity option, i got error message a shown in attachment???

Is there a way to run a command on a file that is not already open in Arbortext editor? For example, am I able to run a publish command on a xml file not currently open?  

Hi all,   Please any one let me know how to implement validation, as i have a xml document and the xml document has hierarchy of element as parent and child element and have the attribute as whose value can be Y or N.   If the parent have the attribute value as Y and if the child element have also attribute value as Y, so here parent has the attribute value as Y, so no need to have attribute value as Y in child.   In this case how can i show a message to user that, no use of making the attribute value as Y, if the parent is having already.   Can anyone help me on this?  

I would like to import 3D model in DITA Architecture by Arbortext Editor and same to be rendered as PDF. The 3D Model should be having the possibility of changing the orientations, explode, zoom in/out in PDF. Is it possible with the Arbortext Editor?Also what are the graphics / animation files format supported by Arbortext Editor in DITA?Note: We tried inserting *.u3d format in PDF directly using Acrobat Professional 9.0.
