Hi Experts,We are facing check in issue after inserting the image in XML manual. 1) Checked out the document from Repository.2) Inserted the new image with graphic insertion option, accepted the change and saved the document in XML manual. 3) Trying to check in the XML manual back to repository. But check in operation is causing issue " Could not set the file "E:\XXX\XXX\XX" as the content for the document abcd.jpg. : Cannot access the file "E:\XXX\XXX\XX" due to operating system error.

Hi experts!Currently I'm working in a kind of text analyzer, and I am thinking on the use of regular expressions, however I don't know yet what's the best option, I have seen that ACL has an option in order to work with regex, but also I'm thinking in the possibility of the use of javascript, If I decide to use javascript I would like to know how can I call my javascript file, I have been trying to make some experiments with js_source command from Arbortext, but until now I don't know if there's another response from js_source different to a number indicating me if the call was successful, so please any of you guys could provide me of more details about js_source command and also about the match ACL command?As always I really appreciate your time and support,Regards,Paulette Amparo

I can do it to PDF output using FOSI edits but I can't seem to get it toshow up in HTML Help output using native Styler formatting. We have been experiencing an issue with the # sign appearing rather then the illustration in Isoview. This happens repeatedly on a daily basis. To correct this problem, the cache must be cleared and Isoview restarted. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It happens in both Windows XP and Windows 7. Does anyone have information on a permanent fix for this?

For those of you following along at home, I hacked the TeX code in the FOSI to move the rotated text over to the right by changing the original code from this:<usetext source="%\hbox{\special{pub:" rotate=" 90}%,10pt,#content,%}%"="></usetext>To this:<usetext source="%\hbox{" }\hbox{=" }\hbox{=" }\hbox{\special{pub:=" rotate=" 90}%,10pt,#content,%}%"="></usetext> (The curly braces in the initial 3 \hbox{ } "commands" need to have a space in them. Empty curly braces won't work.)There is probably a better, more elegant and more "TeX-y" way of doing this, but for now, this works.

I am attempting to use conditional text to display or not display a graphic using key definition files. I have several documents utilizing the <ph> tag for conditional text and a keydef nomenclature file but I would like to find a way to use one of the <ph> tag choices to replace a graphic and not just text. We use ph id=brand, productname, feature, and model for our conditional text choices. We do utilize profiling too but that will not work for me in this situation. Anyone ever try this?

I would like to write custom Java code which executes menu the functionality File > Publish > HTML File... on multiple files at once.To do so I need to find the Arbortext code which is called when File > Publish > HTML File... is triggered by a user. In other words, I need to know the function name, argument names, and valid argument values so that I can write custom code which will call this function on multiple files.Thanks!

Hi AdeptersI am having some problems with the DCF/FOSI. I can't specify the namespace in the DCF (same in FOSI, it takes the element alias instead of the actual element name with namespace). So for example:<lists><bulleted><block attribute="type" attributevalue="bullet" element="list"/"><item element="listitem"/"></bulleted>...</lists>Where the element names lets say are adepter:list and adepter:listitem - the namespace is missing in the DCF. Also when I try to edit the DCF inside of the Arbortext the suggested values are the alias names not the actual namespace+element names.When I use the bullet list button in the Arbortext it creates invalid XML as it just inserts list with listitems without the namespace. I tried removing the alias file and instance.acl however it still was just working off the element names without the namespace and the same thing happened when I inserted a new list.Any ideas? It looks like an Arbortext bug but I am not sure, I

I'd like to have the PE transaction archive list you see at <pe_server_url e3=" jsp=" archivelist.jsp=" show=" some=" information=" in=" the=" <br="/>"Name" column. I'm looking to get something like "username_pageline" so it's easier to see who the request came from and what the request was for. I'm able to do this for compositions from xml to pdf. Our customization to compose through PE uses the e3 client java api, and in our java code I simply add these lines:String transName = String.format("%s_%sTo%s", userId, inputFormat, outputFormat);convert.setParameter("transaction-name", transName);where convert is an instance of E3ConvertMethodInterface.I see in the PE documentation where the "transaction-name" parameter should allow this, but when I tried it with our page & line numbering code, which is in ACL, it still didn't display anything in the "Name" column of the transaction list.Is anyone else able to do this?-- Brian Jensenbjensen@bluelid.com

Hello experts!I've been working with window_create and xui, my goal is to develop a new window where users can manipulate xml documents on Arbortext, however I've faced a difficult. I was wondering if there's a way in which I could identify the window which was created and when the user try to create a new window, Arbortext could block the creation. Currently I'm creating the window since a customized menu on my toolbar, but every time user calls at this command a new window is created, I don't know how can I manage this stuff. All that I need is to have control over the creation of my window and identify if one has been created so user can not create another one. Hi Adepters 😃I've been working with ACL, java and javascript in order to customize my Arbortext environment, however in the meantime I've found a big problem, and I'm still don't get to solve it. Inside my custom folder, specifically inside my init folder I've created an acl file, in which I define a menu_add command (menu_add -menu -before ".Tools" "Test"). However when I run Arbortext nothing happens =( and I don't now why, because if I execute the command on the command window inside Arbortex menu is created. I have been looking an option with javascript, but I'm not sure how could I get it with javascript.So please, if anybody knows the reason of my results, I would really appreciate your help. Also I have been thinking that maybe I have to configure something before but I'm not sure.As always I am pretty grateful for your help and support,Paulette Z

Has anyone else seen, diagnosed, fixedPublishing Engine 6.0 m010: APE Request Failure.Failed to save body file to [PE install path]....rq_4746\rqbody.datRead timed out.java.net.SocketTimeoutException.........This does not happen 100% of the time. It seems to be happening in ourlarger docs. (Our large docs aren't really all that large ... all less than1,000 pages, average is probably in the 200 to 300 range.)-- Paul Nagai

Sometimes when I'm inserting elements using ACL, the gentext doesn't update until I manually click the Update GenText button. I didn't see an ACL command that does the same action as the button, but I'm sure there must be one.Does anyone know how to do it? Steve

It looks it is impossibly to save few separate XML documents into Windchill by the only Save to Server or Check In. For example, if you have few DITA topics, but you have no map file, you should save separate documents into Windchill one by one. The same, if you have S1000D XML Data Modules you should open and save them to Windchill Server one by one.Usually WGM technology proposes to upload all  source files from local disk to Windchill. But Arbortext cannot do it. The only possibility for Arbortext - to save root document with links to chield documents.I believe such functionality like "import many XML files into Windchill" should be realized in Arbortext.Alexander Neder

Is arbortext editor limited to either bulleted or numeric lists?

We have files that use PNG files on the server, but the writers only have TIF files on their PC. I have a simple function: edit -ok -untagged "$docname" substitute -a -wrapscan /.png" width="1.27cm"/.tif" width="1.27cm"/To swap it out, but then I have to swap it out again to save it for the server.Any ideas?Dean

Hi Adepters!I have been working with ACL trying to implement a dynamic walk through which is in charge of make some changes through the document, however I have faced a problem, when I found locked content, I can not add attributes to an element, I am using oid_modify_attr to create new attributes, I'm not sure is this is the best ACL command in order to achieve this; however my doubt for now is if there's a way to modify locked content. I'm pretty new with Arbortext also, and I would like to know how can I unlock content in Arbortext using the menus, because I can't find it.As always I really, really appreciate your time an support.Best Regards,Paulette
