Hello every one,I am currently facing a table issue. I shall keep my table in portrait but increase the number of columns (x4...), but doing so my table is too width. If I change the first title column to display text in landscape, I can keep the current layout. I only found the attribute to change the whole page in landscape and when I applied it on a p element inside the table it does not correctly work: the table width take all the page even for small table.Do you have any tip or clue to help me? You can find below exemples of the table I am trying to achieve and what I am actually achieving...Thank you in advance,
I need some kind of menu a user can select page formats. We have a lot of different formats and I do not want the users to have to keep typing in the ones they want to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Just to add a little more info...I am new to ISM. I am looking for a selection type GUI. Other graphic editing tools I have used allow me to use HTML with radios, combo/list boxes, ... to query the user for a selection. I am guessing this is not possible for IsoDraw Macros. So far the only thing I see to query the user is a Get box. Thanks in Advance,Jim
Hi,we use the Arbortext Editor Version 6.1. If we delete a character after an inline element, arbortext deletes also the space:You can see this in this example:As you can see, the cursor is placed after the emphasis - element. If we would like to delete the point character with backspace, Arbortext deletes also the space character:That is absolutely not desired. Is there maybe a setting/option to change this behaviour?Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi we have 6 'Arbortext Editor - Locked License' V7.0, 1 'Arbortext Styler'-floating license V7.0 (currently installed 6.1), and 3 'Arbortext Print Composer' V7.0 (currently installed 6.1). We currently have 8 editors, leaving 2 unable to edit. We were wondering what are our options are to get a license of Arbortext onto a terminal server so that our editors can essentially "take-turns" utilizing the licenses for the workflows? I understand that we would need to apply a floating license to the terminal server versus a node-locked license, but does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade a license to a flexnet floating license? On an aside, is there any trouble with a floating arbortext installed to a terminal server talking to a flexnet server for use of the publishing engine?Reference:https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS23456&art_lang=en&posno=1&q=terminal%20server&source=search
hi,We're recently converting documents from output of a customized version of Arbortext Editor to standard one, and one of the major challenges is we no longer have some customized features and markups, one of which is endnote. I'm wondering if there's any way to simply use footnote and change some attribute to remove number(s) so that it look like endnote? BTW I don't think I could change stylesheet, as it's already defined.Thanks.best regards,Amy

Hi,I'm tasked with developing style sheets to convert XML to MS Word. This project will be performed in Arbortext E3 7.0 environment and will be required to use Import/Export function. Has anyone performed this type of task before and can provide some insights? Are there available literature/reading materials you can point me to on the web? Is there anything significant (good, bad, or indifferent) I should be aware of?Thanks in advance for your help,Morais

Hi all.I'm always annoyed by the generation of pdf files from arbortext editor 5.4.I begin to believe that compose a batch of pdf files is impossible unless you know to program in ACL.So, when I compose a pdf file, I can choose 2 options:Use of distiller set to off and I generate my pdf file with the standard.pdfcf fileUse of distiller set to on and I generate my pdf with the PS printer wich is Adobe pdf.I don't understand why my generated pdf files are always in 216 x 279 mm.I want them in A4.Whatever the setting of the useditiller option, I always have 216 x 279 mm files. The comic part of the history is:1) It's impossible to generate pdf files by batch instead of one by one2) I've always 216 x 279 mm pdf files3) I must gather them in one pdf files (publication of amount XML files)4) I must create all the bookmarks manually and one by one5) When I did all these steps, if the content of one of my XML file has changed, I must incorporate it in the pdf publication and I have to resize th
I have created a custom content pipeline for htmlfile.ccf, i have added a filter in that. i have also added the corresponding .ent for the custom filter which call the filter class implemented in java. The new filter/content pipeline is working fine in Arbortext editor but not in Arbortext Publishing Engine. I really need to solve this problem. I hope someone here will be able to answer my question.
We are using Arbortext Editor 6.1 M020. We are beginning to use MathML instead of ATIMath. We are using MathFlow 2.0b for Arbortext as our equation editor. I am creating a FOSI that will allow our copyeditors to produce a very lightly formatted manuscript (PS or PDF) for internal QC purposes. An example of an equation is:<disp-formula id="df1" medium="all"> ... </disp-formula>Since MathFlow has already created an image of the equation for us, I would like to have the FOSI use that to produce the output manuscript. I would like to grab the value of the altimg attribute of the mml:math tag and have that image displayed in the output but I'm not sure whether that is possible. And, if it is possible, how to go about doing it. Can anyone help? Thanks,Rick Schoen
Hi All,I have a customer here in India Atlas Copco GECIA,which is into Technical and Service Parts information creation and publishing. As a part of their deliverable, they also create Technical illustration using Isodraw CADProcess. They have reduced their time at least by 26%,for creating the technical illustration, when compared to their previous processes.I would like to know(benchmark) how much more scope is there to reduce this time further? So if we benchmark, how much time other/your companies are taking to create illustrations, lets say for an an assembly of 10 components and 5 illustrations? For example it could be 5 man/hours for an assembly of 10 components and creating 5 illustrations.I would like to benchmark it with in what time other companies are doing it ,if we take the parameter of 10 components and 5 illustrations. Please let me know if you need more information and interested to discuss it further in detail. Thanks and Regards,Mayur Agare
