Hi All,Wondered if anyone knows an easy way to detect if 'any' dialogue is open, not just the main menu ones.For example below, this works fine to prevent a message pop-up from coming when using 'message' in a timer loop and you open 'save as' dialogue. However open Ctrl-D / Modify Attributes, and you still get a pop-up with this message looping over the top.Or if it is easier to show the status of something without using 'message' at all? dbActive = windows_disabled(); if (dbActive != 1){ message "Timer widget is active $nticks" }Many thanksChris

Dear all,I am trying to figure out how the system administrator can configure the same setting among multiple Arbortext Editors.For example, In Arbortext Editor, Tools > Preferences > Preferences dialog box > Advanced > Acvanced Preferences dialog box, there is a preference named "newlist. How would you share the setting values of this "newlist" among multiple users? And how the system administrator configures it?FYI, I have already tried on the environmental variable "APTWCF" but it was not suitable for this purpose, because it also shared unnecessary values in Tools > Preferences. In Arbortext Editor you can select how to write non-ascii characters - either character entity references, numeric character references or characters.If you are comparing a document that was saved using a different method for non-ascii characters the compare tool lights up like a christmas tree.It would be nice to be able to configure the tolerance of the compare tool to ignore the difference of non-ascii characters that were written in different formats.

just got a new computer, 64-bit 12gig ram. All other apps seem to work fine but IsoDraw 7.0 is very slow. Sometimes sits 1-2 minutes between dialog boxes. Seems weird to only affect one program like this. Anyone else experience any slowness with IsoDraw on 64-bit machines?

Moreover, our xml file containing all the profiles that we use is also quite large.Is there any character limit that we might be exceeding? Hi, I have figures that are labeled Fig 1-1, FIg 1-2 etc. The first numeral is the section number. The counter increments by 1 every time a new figure is encountered. However sometimes we have occurrences of graphic 'sheets', that is called sheet 1 of 3, sheet 2 of 3, sheet 3 of 3. Then the figures are labeled: Fig 1-3 (sheet 1 of 3) Fig 1-4 (sheet 2 of 3) Fig 1-5 (sheet 3 of 3) I would like to stop figure incrementing by means of Styler when are sheets:Fig 1-2 Fig 1-3 (sheet 1 of 3)Fig 1-3 (sheet 2 of 3)Fig 1-3 (sheet 3 of 3)Fig 1-4 We use Arbortext Styler 6.1, FOSI engine. Is there a reasonable way to switch a previously-integrated PE installation from one version of Tomcat to another?I am trying to switch a PE install from Tomcat6 to a Tomcat7 service. I cannot find what file needs to be updated.Even uninstalling PE, only running the tomcat 7 service, and reinstalling will prompt me to integrate with Tomcat, but still points the PE install at the tomcat6 service.Thanks,Jason A. One of my colleagues has a problem where she is seeing table markup whether View > Tables > Table Markup is selected or not. She's tried restarting Arbortext Editor 6.0 and checking the topic in and checking it out again, but there's no change. Have you seen this before? Any idea how to fix it?

I’m afraid it can’t be done but:- two versions of the XML file are output using the write command, accept-all (write -ct changesapplied file.xml) and reject-all (write -ct original file_rejectall.xml)- COM command opens the transformed file.doc in Word and if an auto-open macro sees a “file_rejectall.doc” version the files are comparedMy problem is that very occasionally “write -ct original ...” fails silently and produces a -ct changesapplied file. This happens with deeply “nested” change tracking add/delete inside add/delete inside add/delete etc. (There’s drugs for that kind of thing.)Has anyone ever found a programmatic equivalent of Reject All besides write command?ceb.com

Good morning, we have created a tiff from photoshop CS6. Then we open isodraw, place the tiff image, lines look good everything is crisp.Then we export to cgm. Place cgm in editor file and it looks like mush when printed.Any suggestions would be great.Bryon

Hi,Are there any obvious advantages/disadvantages when using Arbortext instead of Adobe Framemaker? I have not worked with Framemaker, and any advice as to what Editor+Styler does better/worse than Framemaker would be greatly appreciated (pricing, functionality, ease of use etc).Thanks!

I have a stylesheet developed for Styler 6.0 when i try to use this stylesheet in 6.1 and to publish pdf output the graphics started overlaping and Showing Event Log Error => <Level>ERROR</Level><Message>Pg 4 All Table Columns too narrow tofit text - exit table [1201] (3:"_s_h_o_w_4_"#350) (2:"stylesheet0:Element:image:image_everywhere_else:onEnter"#2087) (1:"editorDom0"#{0;/RDStyle/ResolvedMap/bookmap/chapter[2]/body/section/fig/image/alt}) It also shows an error => the pre exported FOSI is out of date and should be re exported. Hi ADEPTers,I'm in the process of upgrading my Arbortext Editor/PE/CPA system to 6.0 M090. The system is quite customized, but that's beside the point. One of the things that PTC mentions within the Release Notes for CPA 1.6 M030 is that one must re-baseline all your documents. We don't have that luxury.With that said, I'm working on making the new system produce the same output as the 5.3 M060/CPA 1.4 F000 system has been doing. I'm doing well except that I find that every once in a while, a paragraph or table column is breaking slightly different. Instead of "in-struction" at the end of a line, I get "instruc-tion". Though still correct, the difference flows through the paragraph to where the last line may be pulled up. Is there a setting that puts a border around graphics referenced with an entity file? Production sees the border but when I open the file in Arbortext from my virtual desktop I don't see a border, so I thought it might be a setting in Arbortext 5.4.
