Greetings, I have a need to animate a model that involves some deformation ofmaterial... And, I am as green as can be in this realm. (I know very little aboutanimation.) I am pretty sure there is a tool in Pro/E that can help me animate. Is itone of those $5k modules, or is it included in Foundation? Are there twoversions (basic and pro - like rendering)? If you know and have any opinion on it, could you please take a couple ofminutes for me and type out your thoughts? Much appreciated... Thanks in advance! -Nathan

Does anybody know what has been fixed with Wildfire 4 M061 build?So far this build is only available for the Solaris and HP-UX platforms.and yes I have already done the following:1. used the "Update Advisor" however M061 is not a selection for build    codes2. tried searching for M061 on PTC's "Search the Knowledge Base"3. I have opened a call yesterday morning after attempting 1 and 2.    However I have not heard back yet. It evidently takes a long time    to a. call development and b. to call/email meI am wanting to know this information because:1. a build like this generally means there is a bad problem2. we are updating from WF3 to WF4 M060 on Monday.Thanks--

Yeah, just as I suspected... They meant to do that. Or, more accurately,it needs to be like that. I understand, and I was gently reminded that itreally is my mistake. One thing I learned is for that reason alone is a good argument for creatingand using external sketches. If one is in the habit of creating a sketchfirst, then choosing the tool, my "problem" goes away. As well as theannoyance of picking extrude by habit when you really want a revolve...That happens occasionally, too. What I DON'T understand is why, if I forget to select SURF and leave theSOLID default, why, oh why, can Pro/E not simply default to a THINprotrusion? The solid selection remains but the dashboard locks you into athin solid. This would at least save a little bit of time / frustration...And, I think it actually does do this 'sometimes'. I guess I need to paymore attention when it does happen. Thanks again for your help... -Nate _____

My problem was the sketch not the relation. The text flips aroundcenterlines so just use construction lines instead. Problem solved.Thanks Everybody,Eric

Hallo, für einen Flugzeugrumpf habe ich eine schöne Freiformfläche mit Fläche hinzufügen erstellt, die den anforderungen nach tangentialen Übergängen erfüllt. Mit den Lodt- Funktionen könnte ich nur Körper erstellen, die an deneinzelnen Profilebenen immer einen Knich hatten. Selbst mit allen möglichen Einstellungen zu den Tangenten bin ich nicht zueinen befriedigenden Ergebnis gekommen. Die Fläche sieht sehr gut aus, nur leider ist nur eine Fläche. Habe jetzt hinter der Fläche den ""Rest"" mit ebenen Flächen dazuerzeugt. Kann ich diesen ""Würfel"" mit einer Freiformfläche zu einem Körper machen? Danke für die Hilfe! Konni

How can I delete a certain segment of a line which is crossing over another line? IE, if I have a circle and a line passing through it, I want to delete one side of the circle with the deletion ending at the line so an arc is created. Thanks!

Ich möchte eine Schnittkurve von 2 Körpern erstellen, aber die Schaltfläche bw. die Funktion im Menü 3D-Kurve für ""indirekt erstellen"" -> ""Kreuzung"" ist nicht vorhanden. Wieso, gibts das nur in der Vollversion? Mit dieser Funktin ließen sich ja sicherlich auch die Schnittlinie zwischen 2 Areitsebenen erstellen, oder? Danke für die Hilfe! Konni
