How do I connect a beam to a shell? Is this possible in Pro/M? I wish to make a "rigid" connection between a beam (along its length) to a shell.
We are running WF 3.0 M130, and we are outputting .dxf's that are thenconverted using TruTops to a .geo. After this conversation takes placeall the solid lines are dashed. If we take and open the .dxf in AutoCADand resave it as either a 2000 or 2004 .dxf the file then convertscorrectly. Has anyone encountered this or able to tell me what is setincorrectly. I would greatly appreciate it. Tyler Nielsentnielse@daktronics.comMobile- 605.690.1156Desk - 605.692.0200 ext. 56572Daktronics, Inc.

Pro/manufacturers, Pro/NC does not appear to support any means of tool managementimplementation via CL command or tool options to drive G-code. I knowthat there is a valid 'TLLIFE' CL command (in the APT major wordvocabulary world anyway) but cannot find any other syntax or standardusage information anywhere. Is there anyone out there doing any of this within Pro/NC that would bewilling to share some knowledge? TIA Regards,Scott

Does anyone know where ProE stores the details of any favourites that you create?TIAJeff
Is the option to manually heal geometry no longer available in WF4? Wedon't have Data Doctor and I have always fixed iges imports manuallyuntil now. Is the manual fix gone? I found some TPI's describing theautomatic option but nothing concerning the manual option. Thanks, Scott Johnson TEC Technologies
Does anyone know if it is possible to pullinformation from an existing animation into a text file or simlar? I want to view the timeline with any associated view/display/transparency@time, events, etc.I can takescreen shots, but that means zooming in and out of the timeline to capture the information. As you might have already guessed, thisis a terribly time consuming, tediousway to extractthe information. It would be really nice if the information was in a continuous, sequential format that didn't takea day to create. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!!!Krystal
A user has a table created with a "Descending" format, is there a way tomodify it so that it is "Ascending" We could just delete it and place the correct one but he will lose theballoons that are associated with it. Need to create a symbol that is essentially a note. We want the note's textalways to be Center justified. The note may contain 3 lines or 2 lines. How would people handle this? Line 1 is always the same in both situations,Line 2 may or may not be there and Line 3 will always be there. Thanks,Steve D.
I create a new log every time the method server is started. A newfolder for each day and a new file with a timestamped name.log for eachtime it stops/restarts during the day. This is done via a line(s) inthe wt.properties file. I will share if it is the solution you choose. Archie Archie CameronCAD Systems AdminPolaris Industries Inc.218.463.4620

So I'm a student, somewhat familiar with AutoCad, but I haven't used ProE at all. I have access to the program at my school. Most employers list ProE experience as a desired job skill. If you wanted to learn ProE, where would you start? The help file? An internet site? Just start playing with features? Amazon.com has a bunch of books on ProE, but they are pricey enough that I would rather not just select one at random. Are there books anyone would recommend? Thanks in advance, and if there is already a topic about this, a link to it would be much appreciated.
I know that to create superscript you type: cm@+3@# and you get cm cubed. How do you make text underlined, and cool things. Anybody know? Is there a list somewhere?
Guru's, I'm being asked to "comment" on the decision to move from 2001 directlyto WF4. My first thought is that WF4 is a bit too new, and that maybeit would be best to go to WF3 and give WF4 a chance to "develop" a bit. However, this is for a small company with only a few seats, someexperience in WF3, no customer dictated requirements, and I rememberwhen I was in that position and how I used to load up the "new toys"just as soon as I could. On the down side, in this case, there reallyisn't a Pro/E "administrator", so any issues that arises could berelatively costly in terms of time to work around them. SO, myquestions to you all are 1) are there many sites on WF4? 2) have yourun into any issues? 3) do the "enhancements" really make a differencecompared to WF3? Thanks in advance... please reply to the list as is the procedure ( Ithink...???) Paul Korenkiewicz
My problem is that I want a have an option to pick 2 different ¼-20 holes, one using a #7 as standard table calls out and some using a #5. How do I accomplish so it can be used going forward and have my notes show up the same. So far I have to put a prefix like "(S1)" special #1 on the ¼-20 to be able to pick it, my other thought was to create another table of just special like UNC-Special, but both of these options change the way the note looks. Any ideas? TIAEric FlemingEngineering TechnicianITT CorporationResidential & Commercial Water2881 East Bayard StreetSeneca Falls, NY 13148Phone: 315-568-4543Fax: 315-568-4507-<">mailto:->
I noticed in WF3 that tables have changed, In previous versions of ProE the formatting of the previous row was maintained when adding rows to a table. Now when you add a new row to a table you must go back and format your text to match the row above or below. Support told me there is no way to maintain the format when adding rows. Is there a way or is the functionality just not their. Boy, it is annoying.
I am trying to create a map key that involves the "file open" dialog boxin the middle of a mapkey. The problem is that Pro/E records the nameof the file selected and just opens the same file everytime I run themapkey. If I delete the file name from the mapkey then Pro/E stops athat point so I can select a different file but the mapkey does notcontinue after that like it should.Anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this? Thanks!
