Hi All,I have spherical shell that I made in Creo 2. Now, I need to cut circular holes in the thin shell of the sphere. How do I set up a plane(s) to draw a circle so that I can subsequently cut/extrude that circle's profile down into the spherical shell at any weird angle I desire? In other words, I need to execute cuts not just along the X, Y and Z axes, but I need to be able to arbitrarily define my own cut directions. Plus, those directions will need to be "tilted".Or, is thare another way to do it? See attachment for an idea of what I am trying to achieve. Thanks
Hi All,I'm in Creo Parametric (not yet 3.0, or 3.whatever; I haven't yet updated) and I want to wrap those little black tank-tread pieces (22 of them, I think) around one of those white thick plastic gears (I don't know the proper name or model number [I renamed it]; it's the sort of counterpart of the tank pulleys. I have no idea how to constrain these for Creo. Has anybody done this before? Would anybody know how? Thanks,Jack
Maybe better to share this on other exploder lists as well... not many people are subscribed to the [ptcuser] list...

I am new to PTC, and I need to make a chess piece using the revolve tool. Anyone who could give me some guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I have been a Solidworks user for many years, but I am new to Creo and studying it through the eLearning Library. There is a very simple exercise in eLearning that aims to teach how constraints work, but for some reason when I try it on my own I am having 'conflicts' when no conflicts exist. I have attached a small snip of the exercise (from eLibrary): The procedure (and the accompanying video) act as I would expect. However, when I try the procedure using an identical sketch (as shown): I receive a "resolve sketch" dialog box that prompts me to delete "conflicting" constraints. None of these constraints conflict in the traditional sense of the word, nor are they any different from the constraints shown in eLearning. Does Creo treat redundant constraints as conflicting? If so, why does the identical eLearning procedure work without problems when mine does not? Thanks for the help.
How can I convert commercial .prt files to academic .prt files?I am using the academic version of Creo 2.0, and I downloaded a .prt that was made in a commercial version of Creo (not sure which version). It says"The file 1001_15_cl.prt was created with a commercial version of Creo Parametric and is not compatible with the version of Creo Parametric you are running."
HelloI have a problem with creo parametric 2. I cant make a circle if i use very small dimnsions. Instead of a circle or a hole i get polygon.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME (EXACTLY) WHERE I FOUND THIS INFO?TIA

Greetings,This has been asked many times before, with most of the requests not being responded to, at least in a posting. I thought I'd try again...My company recently noticed that the material files they had been using were very suspect regarding the accuracy iof the values in the files themselves. My question is this - does anyone have a complete/accurate set of Creo compatible material files that I can populate to my company's library? I've got to believe there is someone out there who had already encountered this issue, and has assembled a set, hopefully a set they'd be willing to share?I kniow about MatWeb, but am hoping to not have reinvent the wheel...The files can be either in .mtl or .mat formats, as I can covert the .mat files if need be.Thanks in advance if you happen to have something you'd be willing to share.Happy Holidays!Gary S.
