I ran some random vibration analysis and I'm wondering despite checking the box I don't have any RMS resutls in the log or results. Shouldn't creo calculate it for me?

I have a customer asking if Creo can be used to optimize drill bit geometry. What combination of angles for the different edges will give the best performace for a certain material. Attached is an image of his model.

First time poster, long time proe user...Finally updated all my map keys in creo 2, well, so I thought but noticed that any map key starting with a "p" or "o" don''t work. They work if you manually run the map key in the Map Key dialogue but not out of it?... Anyone notice this or have a reason for it/solution or should I just relabel them?

Is it possible to format rpt.index so that the sl no apears line i,ii,iii,iv etc.?

Thanks for the many, many replies with lots of good info.The problem was the almost unanimous choice of IE rolling up to a higherversion. After getting with our local IT guy, we subsequently found out that "CampusIT" had, without notice, rolled out IE 10&11. We rolled IE back to its previous version and life is good. Thanks everyone! I now have specific, detailed instructions on how to cleanout my java cache, and other assorted goodies. Anthony R. Ich möchte eine Montage simulieren, aber diese montage ist auf viele teilen mit getrennte Koordinaten system zusammen positioniert. so es gibt keine beziehung zwischen diese teilen und wenn ich eine teile dreht, die nächste teile folgt nicht. Wie kann ich diese Montage umwandeln, damit ich alle teilen verbinden mit neu Zwänge wie z.b etwas Joints für bewegung. Kann ich diese Montage umwandeln oder muss ich eine neu Montage wieder machen? I am not sure where this message will go. Hopefully I will get some goodfeedback on this question. Does anyone know what happened to the email address system and/or why ithappened? It used to be that a user's email address would appear with all ofthe messages that I used to receive. Now when I receive a message fromsomeone in the user's group it just lists the email address as "support..."That's kind of disturbing because I tend to update some of the user's emailaddresses on occasion and that universal email address that they use can,and will, screw up any correct email address that I previously had for mycontacts. Hi,I met one of the more puzzling questions，now I establish axis of series modeling. Looking at the picture below!IF you establish same holes and we can control these parameters from hole,But we can't get parameters from screw hole and control the screw szie ,for example, M6X1 ,M8X1.25,M10X1.5 ,and so on! can I establish the variable screw size of series axis in afx/equipment module?thanks!

I've just started revising older designs on Creo 2 running in a Fusion Windoe with Win 7. Everything seems to work well, but I'm getting stymied by either my ignorance of Creo 2 vs older proE verions, or there is some sort of key mapping problem that keeps me from doing pretty basic things like measuring dimensions. Following the tutorials for using the measurement tools, it seems that ctl and alt keys are used with mouse clicks to get the basics for any measurement. All I can get is the base reference on first click, then nothing.Any suggestions?

OK,So, while playign around with Creo 2 (actaully, frustratedly trying to find something else taht use dto be fairly easin in WF5) I see I can 'hide command lables' in the ribbon. Cool! But, uhm, how do you unhide them? help tells me a few times how to hide them, and that thy can be hidden.. Once hidden, the 'hide' option on teh RMB menu is now greyed out..Oh, I'm a new-ish user (1.5 yearsw) with many of the gripes the others have.. My list is ever growing!

I am trying to do an static analysis on a car frame. Here I took a screen shot of a test run I tried in mechanica. It consists of two tubes meeting at about 70 degrees. You can see the red blob of polynomials about 3/4 of the one up one of the tubes. I recieve an error:"The model is insufficiently constrained for the analysis. Please review the element connections, properties, and constraints in highlighted entities. If this is a modal analysis, then you may be able to obtain a solution by requesting additional modes."If anyone could tell me where to go from here that would be great. Thanks.

When exporting a Iges with sketches, all the entities in one sketch are joined in one single curve. Is there any way of exporting the sketch entities in independent curves?
