This is one of those "how would you..." questions so there is no right answer.I have a fixed data range... a 4x78 x-y matrix.The data is a CSV or XLS file properly formatted in the 4x78 matrix.I want to bring this data into Creo to drive geometry.How would you do this?...and as a bonus, I want to flip-flop the features color; black/white or solid/quilt.

All,For all you people still in the office....Another thing that has bugged me for a while....seems like a dumb question.I am on WF4.When you create a sketch you are asked for 3 things:PlaneReferenceOrientation*If I want to change the orientation*....I do not see that available either in "edit definition" or "reroute".Am I not able to do this?I hate having the orientation flipped.WayneF

When we open www.ptc.com first time for the day it asks for single sign on details. After providing correct information it gives the below error. Now, if i put ptc.com once again after this error it will open up the site. We have also given www.ptc.com as web browser homepage in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 to all the users. This is frustrating the users. It happens on all the browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome etc..). OS is windows 7.Modified the UAC to Never Notify and it did not help. Is there something can be done on the system or need to check with the IT team like to add it somewhere in the exception list?Any help would be appreciated.Regards,Nihar

Ok I have an issue that just completely defies all logic and reasoning. I have a startup script that is supposed to set the Working Directory to X:\(user's name)\work and this works with 22 users. However with one of them it will randomly set it to X:\Users\(user's name)\work.It will do this sometimes after a restart, after Creo crashes, or just when he launches Creo after no issues.My command to set the work directory is: set homedrive=x:\if "%username%" == "erik.zab" set homepath=erikset workdir=workAs I stated this only happens with one user and just at random times. Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Is it still possible to order a DVD with the latest datecode? If so, could someone give me the method for doing so? The menus say "order or download", but only seem to offer the download option.

I noticed many additions and new features are implemented in SmartAssembly within the last few years. We're only working with SA for some weeks, and I'm allready loving it.But I do not see any changes to the graphical user interface.Are there plans to update this part too?

The lo down is here. It seems like a useful plug-in system which I had overlooked until now - possibly because I haven't needed to import any of the file formats mentioned. Still, it's quite interesting. Has anyone got them working? I followed the steps but, well, nothing happened.CheersDavid

Can someone tell me how to display true displacement in the results window? I'm trying to analyze a snap. I want to see how it fits as it moves through its motion.I only see the scale setting. If I set it to 100% it completely distorts.Thanks

Hi all, does anyone know how to add a split button (flyout icon) to the quick access toolbar? I have read the help center document on this & it describes the way this was done pre-Creo, so the page is useless in my opinion. Has this functionality now been lost because of the new ui?RegardsJohn

Hi.I want to make a hole that is angled 45 degress in a mould opening vertically. I have tried to sketch below how I imagine the mould parts to look like.When doing a draft analysis it looks almost fine. I just need to get rid of the "rainbow" area in the middle and have a "clean cut" going from blue to pink with no transisition.Any good ideas on how to do that?

I've been running the Single User Performance Tester with Creo Parametric 2.0. I've run the following operations: Register, CreateWS, Download, VerifyFamilyTable, UndoCheckout, Remove, Delete, and Unregister. The output file contains the time each operation started and ended and whether it was a success or a failure. I'm looking for a parser to read the output file and tell the exact amount of time each operation took, as well as whether it was a success or a failure. I have data from a client that a different outside vendor did for them in WF5 but they are still on WF4.  I know about the CGRI plugin, but is there any easy way to get the features from the WF5 model into a blank WF4 model.  At one time I thought that there was a technique using a UDF that would allow it to be brought into an older version, but I’m not sure if that still works. I’m fairly sure that I’m out of luck, but thought I’d throw a Hail Mary pass.

I've been looking at the 3DConnexion range recently. It comes down to the SpaceNavigator or the SpaceMouse Pro. The SpaceMouse is marketed as the more ergonomic product because it has a wrist support.I know enough about wrists to know that products which put your wrist flat on the table aren't very ergonomic. I am lead to believe that the cheaper SpaceNavigator would be the superior product since it looks like it could be used with a vertical wrist position.If anyone uses ergonomic HID devices and has used 3DConnexion products, please could you share your experience?
