Hi All!Just wondering if any of you made a software maintenance reneal process a bit more effective.I have to deal with multiple vendors and VARs outside of the company and multiple group and department heads inside - I am sure many of you do the same. I would like to ask if any of you are using special tools for this and/or making use of PLM to rout it thru?Share your ideas please.Thank you,D

Why is it when you save as a zip file, the drw files are not included?Since they are linked to the prt files, I believe they should be included.

Can anyone tell me the right way to enter the elastoplasic properties of a material in Creo/WF 5.0? I have the true stress/strain curve entered. With the "Use best fit coefficients checkmarked the curves look good. However the Tensile Yield stress is at 0. If I try to hit ok it doesn't let me. It says I must have a value greater than 0. If I uncheck the box and put in the correct value the curve shifts way up. Any thoughts?

I've been struggling to find a solution for the following problem:After using Creo for a while, I do some routine tasks in the embedded browser (sync, update), then hit refresh and the browser just hangs. I can still check-in & check-out models within Creo, but WC via the embedded browser is unusable until I quit and restart.I'm using M050 and WC 10.0, however, I've tried different build codes and gotten the same result. Several of my coworkers are having similar problems. Anyone else seeing this? Any solution to be found?

Hi,Knew how to do this in ProE but I cant find it anymore: an option to disable sketch contstraints so I can sketch "freely". I dont mean hiding the constraints, but the option to disable snapping/aligning to other lines (and I know you can press rmb a few time to get it done in the end..).Please let me know!

Can you guys help verify whether or not Ihave gone crazy?In Creo2 I am trying to measuredistance from one vertex to another vertex of asame planar spline.In other words, the two ends of a squiggly curve.The message I get back is "This measurement cannot be performed for the given set of references" Huh?I can get a measurement from one end verex to the CSYS but not from end to end. My curve is located and dimensioned with Strong dims so it's located in space.weird stuff this morning.

I have been out of the saddle for a while but am jumping back in headlong into Creo 2.0. I can't find out to do a 2 projection curve. Are these still available in Creo 2.0?Thanks in advance.

Am I the only one, or do others have it where the dialog box (i.e. when you do a Save As, Edit text, or other things that require a pop-up box) opens behind the window you are currently working on. Sometime I'll wait for a short while for it to open, only to do an Alt-Tab and find it has been open waiting for me. It just opened up behind the window being called from instead of above?Thanks,Dale

When I installed Creo 2.0, I opened a file that ended in *.asm.1 without issue by selecting "a program from a list of installed programs". All of my other files say the type is "Creo Versioned File", but when I try to double-click to open a file past that, say *.asm.13, it brings up the same "windoes can't open this file" dialog box.When I go to the Open with dialog box it lists a bunch of programs but not Creo 2.0. I click browse, I find parametric.exe and select open just like I did earlier, but then it completely disregards it and ignores that choice. It returns to the Open With dialog box with the same list of programs as before.I can still open it from within Creo and can drag/drop it onto the Creo workspace if I have it open, but I need to be able to open files from within the directory and I can't for the life of me figure out why this is occuring.

In Creo I am trying to create a section view on a seperate page with a different scale. Originally, the scale of the section view is 10/1. I am trying to make it 50/1. However, when I go to "properties" > "scale" all the options are greyed out. I'm assuming because it is tied to the parent view scale. Is it possible to change the scale on the section view without changing the scale of the parent view?Thank you in advance

This is one of those "how would you..." questions so there is no right answer.I have a fixed data range... a 4x78 x-y matrix.The data is a CSV or XLS file properly formatted in the 4x78 matrix.I want to bring this data into Creo to drive geometry.How would you do this?...and as a bonus, I want to flip-flop the features color; black/white or solid/quilt.

All,For all you people still in the office....Another thing that has bugged me for a while....seems like a dumb question.I am on WF4.When you create a sketch you are asked for 3 things:PlaneReferenceOrientation*If I want to change the orientation*....I do not see that available either in "edit definition" or "reroute".Am I not able to do this?I hate having the orientation flipped.WayneF

When we open www.ptc.com first time for the day it asks for single sign on details. After providing correct information it gives the below error. Now, if i put ptc.com once again after this error it will open up the site. We have also given www.ptc.com as web browser homepage in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 to all the users. This is frustrating the users. It happens on all the browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome etc..). OS is windows 7.Modified the UAC to Never Notify and it did not help. Is there something can be done on the system or need to check with the IT team like to add it somewhere in the exception list?Any help would be appreciated.Regards,Nihar

Ok I have an issue that just completely defies all logic and reasoning. I have a startup script that is supposed to set the Working Directory to X:\(user's name)\work and this works with 22 users. However with one of them it will randomly set it to X:\Users\(user's name)\work.It will do this sometimes after a restart, after Creo crashes, or just when he launches Creo after no issues.My command to set the work directory is: set homedrive=x:\if "%username%" == "erik.zab" set homepath=erikset workdir=workAs I stated this only happens with one user and just at random times. Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated.
