Anyone have or seen of a list of common std.out errors and meanings?ThanksTerry
Greetings,Anybody have a PCF file for a HP DesignJet T790 roll plotter they'd be willing to share? Thanks,Mark
Agree - each year, we've had a planning meeting w/multiple people attending, and one by one went thru each time slot and agreed what each person would attend.
I need to make two chamfers: one between pts 3&4 and one between pts 2 & 5.When I go to select the transitions, I can't select the middle piece; it will only allow me to select the ends. When I choose pt 3, it flips the chamfer to the left of pt 3, when I need it to go to the right. Same when picking point 2 - it flips to the right when I need it to flip to the left.Hopefully someone can help.....I've tried stop case as well, but can't seem to get it to allow me to pick two points after I pick the transition. Thank you!
Please tell me that there is another way to save the output from mass props other than an HTML file? Text file at least? Word doc? Excel? Thanks!
Brent, Thanks for the reply. You were one of two replies. We rarely use theplotter for CAD work these days also. Must be no one else is evencarrying a plotter any more. I think we would not except for themiscellaneous plant use. I'll let you know what we find with the T790. On a separate issue. We are considering an update from WF3. Myquestion is to what? Is there significant advantages to Creo parametricover WF5 (unsure of the correct notation here)? Can an argument be madeto stay with WF3? I don't mind using old tools so long as they do whatis required efficiently. Regards, Jim JakubosRexair LLCProject Engineer
How do I go about ceating a 90 degree bend in a cylinder? Thanks,David
While Creo has nice taskbar integration, Pro/E won't even pin properly. For all my efforts I haven't managed to get a Pro/E icon that looks like Pro/E to launch the app and be grouped with the open windows.I wondered if anyone had written their own launcher for Pro/E that shared the necessary tags to be grouped with the Pro/E windows? If so, please could you share it?Thanks
If your setup is like ours, you have several PDMLink systems. We have:* Production* QA* DevI would like to have these as separate environments each with its own cache. That can easily be accomplished using "set PTC_WF_ROOT=" in your startup script. So I created a cache folder for:* Production* QA* Dev* No PDMThe problem is, only two of the places PTC is now storing the server location is in the cache. They are also storing the location in:%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Creo\Platform\2.6\ServerMgr\.srv_mgr_db.fldxThis location is common, so anytime you startup Creo it's going to look in this file and find the last server you registered.I've had to modify my startup script to delete this file. These are the first two lines of my startup scripts. They ensure that Creo 2.0 only reads the server location from the cache file.tskill creoagentdel "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Creo\Platform\2.6\ServerMgr\.srv_mgr_db.fldx"David HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore N
So one more thing. This was the same problem Creo 1.0 had and was fixed in the m030 maintenance release. What I did prior to m030, was add this command to my startup script:tskill creoagentDavid Haigh
In my effort to eradicate the quality agent and try to figure out where Creo 2.0 is getting my server registration information, I found this folder.C:\ProgramData\PTC\QualityAgentDavid HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550
Hello ,Does any one has any idea on how to enabel "Use default template" option in File-> New -> Sketch window ?RegardsAwadhesh
I like the local browser that is built into Pro/E and accessed from the side bar. The disadvantage is that it seems to forget the last folder you had open if you change windows. If not for this then I would replace the 'open' button the toolbar with a mapkey for the local browser. Does anyone know if the local browser can be configured to behave like the File > Open dialogue, or if there is another setting to specify that Pro/E should always use the local browser and always remember the last used folder? My main reasons are that the window size is better, giving a big useful preview, and the filters are at the top. Thanks
Daft decimal notation aside, can anyone tell me what to expect from Creo Parametric 2.0, other than decent icons? Thanks
Help needed Editing ASCII FontsCan anyone tell me how to edit an ASCII.SRC file so that the number one is not a straight vertical line and the zero has a slash through it? I need to distinguish between a number 1 and a letter "I", also zero and "O".I do know that I will need to compile it for each major release of Creo. 😞Doug P.
I'm looking for a five button mouse to use with Pro that will support double clicking with the thumb button. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!Kris
Hi All,I would like to know the possibility of mapping any Pro/E kinematics to JT / PLMXML lightweight format which will be useful for non-CAD users just for visualization. For non CAD users at client side the possibility to replay Pro/E Wildfire 4 kinematics based on JT and PLMXML data is strong requirement. How can it be done? Is there any loss of info during translation to JT format? Is it possible to capture kinematics in light weight format? If not possible in JT, then is there any other format which supports it?A complete different approach for solving the issue is also welcome.FYI: Pro/E WF 4.0 with TeamCenter 2007 is the current setup. JT files getting generated already. replaying kinematics by non-CAD users is the requirement. If you have any info, please share with me.Regards

anyone out there had the UNDO and REDO icons just suddenly go "greyed out"?they were working a few days back andnow they don't work anymore.even ->EDIT ->UNDO & ->REDO are greyed outWF4 / M210TIA
This week is my first serious work in WF5 (out clients are typicallyslow to upgrade), so I'm finding little annoyances that I'm sure most ofyou have already dealt with. In WF4 and older, there was an area at the bottom of the window thatwould show the name of the item that was highlighted on screen and wouldupdate with the pre-highlighting. . I'm not talking about the messagearea, but I'm not sure what it was called. It was very handy fordetermining what you were about to select. If I hold my mouse stilllong enough, I get a tool tip pop up with that info, but this wasinstantaneous. In WF5 it's gone, how do I get it back? Doug Schaefer
hello everyone,i hv made many reduction systems and never consider to show inovlute profile to worm gears/ spur gears cause i didnt wanted to give extra time to make those patterns and it may also decrease mobilty of model.. now i wish to know how to do it? if anyone knows how to make a perfect involute profile for worm wheel to match worm's thread plz post here i'm also looking for bevel....Thanx and RegardsDalbeer Singh Sohal
Good morning. We are running Creo Elements/Pro 5, build m90. We recently upgraded from Pro/ENGINEER WF3, build m240.In WF3 detailing, user could select the arrow to quickly escape/exit from a command sequence. This arrow is no longer available in Creo Elements/Pro 5. If in the middle of a detailing command in Creo, what is the best/easiest way to exit from the command?====================================Thomas HoganOffice Phone : 508-490-3462Email : -
I've know that a Mapkey command can include a value to be inserted into a text field, but is there a way increment the current value, so that each push of the key would increment by say 0.1 making the value increase from 1 to 1.1 to 1.2, 1.3, 1.4?Thanks
