Hello All,for my master project i need to do Modal analysis of press fiit shaft hub connection to find natural frequencies. I have used friction free contact for the press fit simulation. 1. I found that the differnce between calculated contact pressure and simulated contact pressure is large2. As the contact interfaces in Modal analysis are ignored, i am trying to idealize the press fit interface by spring, But can anyone please explain how may i calculate the stiffness of spring for press fit interface, or is there any other method to perform modal analysis for press fit. I ghave attached the CAD files and mathcad calculation in the folder. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hello , I installed CREO PARAMETRIC version 8-0-4-0 but Simulate is not installed as it came in version 6 is there anything I can do?
Illustrative file attached.
None of my printer options are available in Prime 6.0, is this normal? This is what I see in Prime 6.0: These are the drivers on my computer: I would expect Adobe PDF to show up in Mathcad too. I see this article from PTC "How to create PDF of worksheets from Mathcad and Mathcad Prime", but is that really the only solution? Export to rich text > open in rich text editor > print to PDF cannot be the only workflow (i.e., 3 steps involving 3 different applications every time I want to print to PDF - what!?) I tried repairing and reinstalling Mathcad and Adobe, but Adobe PDF driver still does not show up as an option. Does anyone know if printing directly to PDF is supported in Prime 6.0, and how to fix it if it is?
As per the original post. Hello All, i am trying to do press fit simulation with friction free contact, but i found that the difference between calculated contact pressure and simulated contact pressure is very large. Moreover i need to do modal analysis of the pressfit contact to find natural frequency. As the Modal analysis ignores the contact interfaces, i am trying to idealize the press fit contact by spring element. But can anyone suggest, how may i calculate the spring stiffness of the press fit contact. I have attache zip file consisting CAD models and the Mathcad calculation. Your feedback would be much appreciated.
Hi everyone,I trying to program conditions to solve the calculate the settlement which is base of some conditions but i could not, every trial has a new wrong outputs or errors, I will be thankful for your help if possible, - if initial eff. stress equal to pre-consolidation stress then use eq1 thanotherwise check ifinitial eff. stress bigger than pre-consolidation stress AND init. stress + changes in stress smaller than pre-con then use eq 2other wise check ifinitial eff. stress bigger than pre-consolidation stress AND init. stress + changes in stress Bigger than pre-con then use eq 3 then use eq2 than
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0 Use the ProConedataGet function to obtain an alpha angle. This angle has positive and negative values. I am trying to get a control looking something like this (from another piece of software) The nearest I have been able to get is this And even this is showing an errorI have a feeling that what I want is not possible but it would be great if I could be proved wrong!
Hello. I model a car with the Style Tool. I need to make a transition surface between two surfaces, but I don't know how to make it in the Style Tool. Here's an image that shows where exactly I need this surface:
I'm having trouble getting a minimization function to work for my HETP graph.
This works just fine in a fresh worksheet; however, in my more complex Ballistics worksheet, I get the following error. Both worksheets are attached.Even if I close and reopen the ballistics worksheet, the problem persists.😫Thanks for any help.Reg
Hello, Can someone tell me why Mathcad isn't able to solve this simple variable? This command works everytime but with these types of equation it doesn't: I have tried other commands but it still doesn't work: The solution is quite simple, but I would like it to do it automatically: Can somebody help me? Sorry if there are mistakes in my english. Thank you.
Hi Folks, I'm converting V15 files to run in Prime 8, but can't figure out out to remove the red arrows and red lines. The file runs. Right clicking on the arrows doesn't do anything. I can't find anything in the online documentation. I must be missing something. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks, Mark files using the converter in Prime 8.
Is there a procedure to use the data from an referenced Excel file or matrix to populate a combo box? Thanks,
I'd like to specify a matrix size and have it filled with elements from a vector. For this example, I have a vector containing state names and I want to have them fill a 7x4 matrix. I'm running into 2 issues with the attached sheet:I'm very rusty on programming and matrix operations, so the only way I've been able to fill a matrix at the size I want is to reference the specific elements of the vector. I'm sure there's a simpler way to do this using a loop but I haven't been able to figure it outIf the vector changes size, I'd still like to be able to output a matrix with zeroes filling the rest of the nodes. Currently, if I set up a 7x4 matrix and the vector only contains 16 states, the output matrix errors outAny help with this would be greatly appreciated!
I'm getting consistent crashing when even just hovering over any part of the "Table" tab. TOTALLY unacceptable. Our standard config.pro does not have the "draw_models_read_only yes" option, though my personal config.pro does. Doesn't matter, it crashes on my PC regardless of if I load my config.pro or not, and I can repeat that crashing on several other PC's here regardless of whatever config.pro is loaded. Yes, I posted in the other thread, and no, as outlined above the config.pro option doesn't help. Anyone else seeing this?
So, what I've been doing a lot of lately is marking up drawings of the people that I supervise for Promotion Requests in Windchill. I tried using Adobe Pro, but, honestly, it sucks. REALLY sucks. TOTAL PITA to work with. I hate Adobe in general and trying to draw GD&T symbols and geometry is miserable and time-wasting. Then I had a brainstorm: AutoCAD. In AutoCAD I made a .dwt template that has a BLOCK (black) layer, and a MARKUP-RED and MARKUP-YELLOW layer, where the BLOCK layer is the current layer for when I import the PDF. I import the PDF generated from Windchill as a block (so I can't accidentally change it) making sure to have the "Raster images" checkbox marked too: Then I switch to the MARKUP-RED layer for corrections, and use the MARKUP-YELLOW layer for "ok". You can create shapes (rectangles etc.) to use for yellow cross hatching, then freeze the BLOCK layer (so it doesn't get confused with the block geometry
Hi,we have MathCad 7.0 and MathCad 8.0 in use at our school. MathCad is licensed from a license server. For both products a floating license is specified on the license server. We want to restrict the access to the license server as far as possible by a firewall construct. Unfortunately MathCad does not only use port 7788 when issuing licenses, but has many other ports that are necessary to reach the server.Using a live view of our firewall, we were able to track which ports MathCad needs to reach the license server.Unfortunately, the port is always different, so even allowing a small port range is not possible. We noticed some ports in the range of 48000 - 57000, but unfortunately all of them are always different. Sometimes some at 49000, sometimes some at 54000, since today some are in the range 56000.Is it somehow possible to limit the port that checks the reachability of the server or to fix it to one port?Error message down below.... After changing the port in the firewa
Hi community, We have a drawing template for our company which looks like this. The BOM table and Revision table are currently part of the template itself. Recently we released a new version of format. Upon changing the format to latest format for existing drawings some users faced some issue with Revision table (the lines of older table did not exactly match with new table). Post this problem now we are evaluating whether to keep BOM and Revision table as part of drawing template or add them as separate tables What is your opinion on this? How do other companies handle new format rollout? Any response would be appreciated Thanks in advance Regards,Prasad
Hello my friends, I was required to convert my solution which is based on the makefile in favor of Visual Studio (2019) project. I compiled and built my product using property sheets, but I cannot unlock it with the following message: "Unlocking this application requires option 294." I checked all the licensing, and it is perfectly OK. I found the similar case described in Article - CS274507 Error "Unlocking this application requires option ObjectToolkitCpp" while unlocking an OTK application even though the OTK license is available as part base license of Creo Parametric. The resolution of PTC is that works as expected and to unlock OTK CPP application user need to have separateFloating license option of ObjectToolkitCpp (294) license. The unlocking worked fine with makefile. I checked documentation and did not find out what is Floating license or how to use it. Any suggestions?
I am using Creo Direct Release 4.0 and DatecodeM040Hello We are using floating licences with a local server. We would like to transfer one licence to a local machine so the user can work at home without network connection. It is a temporary transfer.Could you forward a procedure to do this ?Thanks for your support
My calculations fall over when I change to inches. Prime 8 Used. Then won't work when I chage back to cm
Ignore the comment annotations. Edge opens PDF fine and looks good. Adobe looks like this poor quality below. How would you describe this issue so I can google a solution? anyone know the fix to render right?
When I was using Creo 4 I was able to modify the Parameter drop down box to include specific ones I wanted without having to go to the whole machine parameter box. Now that we have moved to Creo 7 I cannot remember how this was done. Has anyone else done this? Thanks in advance. What I wantWhat I have
Here a dispute arose.1. Is this closed curve (a phase portrait) an ellipse? The ellipse has two foci. How to calculate the abscissa of the focus of this "ellipse"? 2. Can this object be called a curve? The curve has a length. How to calculate the length of this curve?
