I find I need to change the width of the model tree from time to time. After changing the width, Creo 's behavior is to regenerate the model and can take some time when I have a large model. It seem as though this is not necessary. Can this behavior be turned off?

Does anybody know how Mathcad strings are encoded?   I've got a project on the back burner to look at Babylonian mathematics, including astronomical observations.  I'd like to convert between Arabic and Sumerian/Babylonian numbers and display them accordingly.  Unfortunately, whilst Unicode has code points for cuneiform numerals, I can't display them.   According to the Mathcad Prime 11 Help,   vec2str(v)—Converts a vector of UNICODE codes in v to a string. Hello friend,I am facing an issue during study check in Creo Ansys simulation. I see this is because of elastoplastic material selected. later on, when I select linear Material, this is working fine, means no error showing. I am selecting elastoplastic (nonlinear material) because my part is of plastic Material. Now, my question is Does this Creo Ansys simulation support nonlinear material? If yes, please help me how to resolve this issue.  

Thinking ahead to a multi-site, multiple SAP plant configuration which might be possible in the future. I am currently using the ERP connector and we have a custom integration on the SAP side to read in the ERP Connector output files. Obviously, the concept of a Plant comes with the use of a SAP type distribution target which from what I gather requires the fully licensed ESI package. I have only 1 target right now so very simple to Send to DT and away it goes. SAP has been configured to accept information and load to only 1 plant that we default to.  If we bring in another site, they will likely have a different SAP plant and I would want their data to go to their plant. Ideally, our data would be separated in difference product contexts but I do not see options in configuration to have it map a default Distribution Target by Product Context. Referencing this post: Configuring SAML SSO with Reverse Proxy , when we last left our main characters, we still a question why the sessionHook was reporting that the windchill domain was not matching the request and target hosts: I still have issues with the sessionHook.jsp for which I have a PTC ticket on. Take note of this debug logger (sso.shibboleth.sessionHook). This was key to it complaining about the different domains. I was able to code around the issue but intend to return to OOTB hook. For now, its working as it should. I will try and collect my notes and write up something clearer. There is a check in the sessionHook jsp files that has a flag isValidUsage and if hostnames do not match, you get an error. I believe this to be a security check. I just got off a call with PDSVision and we traced the cause back to the proxy so I want to make sure I document it here for others.

Hi @PeterCase  the last daily message from support arrived last Friday.   Yesterday and today, nothing, not even to my colleagues at work.   Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Hello I am trying to move my Thingworx project from one server (test) to another (prod) by exporting then importing. However, there are many ways to do so and I am not sure which one should I do. Could someone please clarify the steps in transferring my project from TRN to PROD? All my services, mashups and datashapes are in one project.. However, some Things inherit from templates that are outside of my project. These templates have the same name on both servers. Thank you.  

This topic is related to this one but the moderator advised me to open a new topic so here it is. I know there are several examples (like the one in the linked topic above) and had one working in the past but we updated to Creo 11 and now this "open drawing with the name of the open part or asm" mapkey doesn't work anymore and can't get it to work. I'm aware of the case that the mapkeys are not embedded anymore in the config.pro. I have some mapkeys that are working or are working again so how the new mapkeys work I know.. So who has a working mapkey or can help me with this?

Hello All, Greetings! We have a peculiar scenario in which a command or set of commands work in one version of Creo Parametric but does not work in the other.  Solidify does not work in a direct manner on an offset surface/quilt in Version 11.0.1.0 but works straightaway in Version 11.0.5.0 by selecting the surface and it finishes the task!...I wish to know what made this difference. Are there a few patches installed in the later version, I mean. How can we know what is the difference between the two versions? Where can I find this information? I will appreciate if someone can please provide guidance. Thanks a ton.

Following the customization guide I get almost to the end and then get a /ptc1/tcomp/defineItemAttributesWizStep error. Description: In my environment today I do have custom action menus for certain things - like our own ECN triggers. Can anybody throw some light on the problem below when using min?   "System Error.  Entry point was not found."   I tried rearranging the definitions of pred and pushing min further down the functional chain, but to no avail.  Indeed, using IsFunction caused Mathcad to bang out.   max doesn't have this issue.  Nor do any of my redefinitions of min.   The problem occurs in both Mathcad Express 10 and Mathcad Express 11, even when only the definition of pred and the evaluation are present.  pred has a counterpart function, succ, and that too shows the problem.     Mathcad Express 10 worksheet attached and Exception log file attached.   Stuart  

Hi I need to subtract two different matrix . one has ( 7 rows, 2 column)  and the other has (5 rows , 1 column) I know the other own is shorter so the result should be the same number in the bigger matrix. like it treat the missing numbers as zeros Is that possible ? Thank you The sheet is attached 

I am trying to set up a CFD analysis where a fan is blowing air through a radiator. I don't know the exact geometry of either the fan or the radiator but I know the general size and I have charts to tell me how much pressure drop to expect on the radiator and pressure gain from the fan. Can anyone help to tell me how to set that up in Live Simulation? See the attached picture as a reference.  I have tried to enter a positive pressure on the outlet side of the fan and then measuring (with a probe) the pressure on the surface of the radiator in front of it. Then I take that measured pressure value on the incoming side of the radiator and enter it as inlet pressure. Since in know the pressure drop from the chart, I enter a lesser value on the outlet side mimicking a pressure drop. Am I on the right track or is there a better way to set that up?Thanks!Creo 12

I'm putting a captive screw with compression spring in one of my assemblies. The coil spring doesn't have any 'cylindrical' features or surfaces. I made a central axis, but when I try to constrain the Spring Axis to the bolt cylinder surface, it places the axis coincident/tangent to the surface, not concentric. I always have the option to constrain Front & Right planes, but I would like to figure out how to get concentric mates with an axis.

i had to replace the motherboard in my system, and now Mathcad 14 claims the license is not valid and will not run. I used the original CPU, disk drives, RAM, and replaced the motherboard with the same model.

how am I able to find this information?

Hello all, since there is no direct way of creating negative volume of a part (at least as far as I know-being relative rookie) I wonder if there is any, still relatively quick, way of doing that in Creo 10. With that I have in mind Ansys Space Claim 3D modeller where it is possible to close the model with planes and create volume inside of complex geometry and these defined planes. I would want a volume of water that fills inside of a turbine rotor.  Thank you for your comments, suggestions...Best regards!

I have added 2 new states in Site >> Utilities >> Type and Attribute Management >> Customize Modeled Enumerations and after adding it to Site>>Utilities>> Lifecycle Template Adminitstration>> TKEPartLC, the new lifecycle is still not visible when I do reassign lifecycle for a given tkePart in windchill. It still shows the old lifecycle of TKEPartLC.
