I have many users that use the Dark theme in Creo parametric 9. The note color is yellow for that theme. When exporting to a PVZ the text color is also yellow. How can I change that so they can keep the dark theme and export the note text to black or whatever preferred color?I tried changing the the system_colors_file to C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 9.0.3.0\Common Files\text\system_colors\light.scl but that did not resolve the issue.
The picture is from a PVZ in creo view 9 saved from creo 9. The leader should be attached to the other end of the gold part. The gold part is exploded but the leader points to the spot where it would be if the gold part was not exploded. How can I fix this?
Hi all, In Creo 8.0.9 - while i preview a subassembly from Creo it is showing some different subassembly to the actual subassembly. It is particularly for this subassembly it is mismatching. I have attached images for reference.
Hello, This morning, I reopened some files (from Windchill workspace) and continued work on them from last week. At some point, I realized that I wasn't connected to my organizations Windchill server, so I saved all of my work, and closed Creo (through task manager), reopened, and logged into the server. At this point, many of the files I was working on stopped appearing in the directory. What's weird is that some files were reverted to a very old state (prior to this morning session), while some file which were created recently (during morning session where not logged into server), were saved, and some files created and saved prior to this morning were completely deleted. I have no idea what to do and this is causing many hours of lost work. Please help! (Creo Parametric 9.0.3.0)
Hello, Using the technique described in the post by Jossie titled "Ordinate Dimensions on a detailed view - different sheet," I am having what appears to be random instances when the Baseline Ordinate dimension jumps from the main view to the detail view. The process I use goes like this:1. On a default drawing view, that includes ordinate dimensions, I create a regular dimension.2. I right click that dimension, toggle to ordinate.3. Then I select that ordinate dimension and select Move-to-View, selecting the detailed view for it to move to. So far so good. What happens next has me baffled as I cannot find a consistent cause. While making other typical drawing modifications at some point the Baseline Ordinate dimension jumps from the original view it was created on, to the detailed view. This both places the Baseline in a location where the edge would be if the view wasn't detailed, not helpful, and worse it kills the attachment for the other ordinate dimensions on the d
I tried to create pdf file using trail file. but pdf generation step will not record in trail file.I am also tried to add pdf generation Map key in trail file. can anyone please help me. how to create trail file that can create pdf file.
Hello, I've recently had a problem where I would add files to my workspace, but when I open my workspace in Creo, they will only show up if the workspace is inactive. The moment I activate the workspace to open the files in Creo, the files disappear, only to show back up again when I deactivate the workspace. As a result, I am unable to open the files in Creo. Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried making new workspaces, reinstalling and uninstalling, etc. I am on Creo 8 and 9.
Once I open the STEP assembly file, it shows an assembly containing one sub-assemblie, as shown in the attached image. How can I avoid this sub-assembly file?
please let me know, how can i set white background after rendering attaching here with one image which i am receiving after rendering .
We are using the welding module in Creo but we are having problem obtaining the weld spesification number in reeat regions in the table on the drawing. Like sequence ID and rod material is no problem, however &weldasm.weld.SPECIFICATION_NUMBER or &SPECIFICATION_NUMBER does not work, link to the documentation are here: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/usascii/index.html#page/welding/About_General_Parameters.html# We guess it is not possible with repeat region to collect sequence ID with the same specification number or?
When creating a new part, we start with a start part template, such as a round part. Instead of manually double-clicking each dimension and typing the values, we would like a window to open when the template is called. This window will prompt us to enter the outer dimensions, and the new part will be generated with these specificationsplease find the attached image also
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.7.0We are using symbols in notes/tables with "&sym(...)" syntax. In some cases we reuse the same line in a note by copy paste function (using ctrl+c, ctrl+v).We noticed that doing so we get sometimes additional symbol, which is not visible, but placed behind note (not visible and not embedded in the note). Moreover, when symbol is being deleted from the note there is artifact of a deleted symbol remaining behind the note (not visible and not embedded in the note anymore). Those "background artifacts" causes issues when trying to update any symbol overlapping with artifacts.
I need to maintain the length of 4 locked flats on a locked shape. The depth of the locked shape is variable and is controlled in a family table. I have 8 rounds which are applied to the transition between horizontal and the locked flats. If I increase the thickness of the shape the 8 constant radii will alter the position of the 4 flats that I need to maintain. Normally I could keep a parametric relationship of these flats within a sketch. To avoid reworking my geometry and just for the sake of curiosity I am wondering if there might be a way to parametrically have the inside corner radii to decrease and the outside corner radii to increase based on the thickness change that was made to the shape? Below is an image of this shape which defines the solid rounds and identifies the flats that need maintained. If this isn't parametrically possible I will modify the model to develop the relationship that I need using a sketch with all of the radii and a
I have an assembly that is broken into several different simplified representations. I want to use a BOM table in my drawing for consistent balloon numbering. The best way I see to do that is to use a component parameter "LINENUMBER" in an assembly that will store the line number for a bom table in every instance simplified reps. I've entered Linenumber as a component parameter for a few components, but a problem I run into is that when I have instances of hardware I have to enter this parameter individually for all the hundreds of screws and washers. Is there a way for me to enter the component parameter for all instances of a component without having to work with Windchill? Creo 7.0.7.0
Hello there, I've got a problem I can't get my head around and I hope some of you have got a suggestion for me.I'm trying to to import a STEP file (an assembly) into Creo and the problem is that all the parts name get changed and doesn't stay the same as per the original file. The get renamed like MG_100000 etc.Does anyone know how to make Creo to keep the original part name?
I am trying to animate a mechanism for a presentation but I keep getting a warning that says "Capture Warning: Capture failed due to compression failure". This only occurs if I enable "Render Frames". If I disable this option the capture will work but the quality/resolution is terrible. Anyone know what would cause this issue? I can't find anything online related to this error.
Creo 9.0.4 is going to 'not responding' state. Tried re-installing, clearing cache.Verified config.pro. Nothing seems to work. Could you help with some suggestions other than graphics card? The same configuration for different users seems to be working fine, but only for one user, it's not working.Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0Parasolid files (x_t) when imported in CREO 6.0.6.0 not visible but it is opening and visible in CREO 10.

I'd like to discuss how to automatically update the projection type in Creo drawings based on the drawing format.Creo 10 Here's the scenario:The Creo config currently points to the drawing setup file V:\Test\CreoSettings\configs\Drw_Setup.dtl.This file defines the projection type as FIRST_ANGLE.We want to create a mechanism that switches the projection type to THIRD_ANGLE if the drawing format is test_T_americas.frm.Two potential approaches exist:Scripting: We can develop a script (e.g., Python) to check the drawing format and update the Drw_Setup.dtl file accordingly.Manual Modification (One-Time): For a one-time change, we can manually edit both config.pro and Drw_Setup.dtl to reflect the desired behavior. What are your thoughts on the best approach for this situation? Please let me know if you have any questions or require further details. Thanks,
Hi,I would like to change styles of the same sketched line used on two different views and on two different sheets. In the first view, and in the first sheet, I want to use a yellow "geometry" style line.In the second view, on second sheet, I would like to use a yellow "phantom" style line.I've tried to use the "Layout --> Line Style" command: when I change the style of a line on one sheet, it change the style on the other sheet too. Is there a method to obtain this result? Thanks a lot.
I have specified a local folder as the working directory in Creo.then want to use Weblink to retrieve models. However, I found that currently it can only retrieve models in the current directory and does not support models in subfolders. Is there a better way to handle this? code like thislet session = pfcGetProESession();let currenDirectory = session.GetCurrentDirectory();let device = currenDirectory.split(":")[0];let path = currenDirectory.split(":")[1];let modelDescr = pfcCreate('pfcModelDescriptor').CreateFromFileName(fileName)modelDescr.Device = device;modelDescr.Path = path;let model = session.GetModelFromDescr(modelDescr)if (!model) { let retrieveOptions = pfcCreate('pfcRetrieveModelOptions').Create(); model = session.RetrieveModelWithOpts(modelDescr, retrieveOptions);}
I have a clear dome on an assembly. It does not show in my renders. Is there a setting? I am using a ptc clear type color for the dome. Creo 3.0 m080 Wayne
I am trying to open a STEP file using a template, as shown in the attached image. It works fine initially, but if I close Creo and reopen it, the template file changes. Could you please suggest a solution?
