Creo+ and Creo Parametric

when importing a step242 to Creo all of my MDB geometry for features such as hole and countersinks come as radius surfaces. Can someone explain how to import these features as full diameters?  Thank you.   

Using Creo 8 I am trying to create an assembly of electrical components on a din rail.  The assembly includes various quantities of fuse blocks, circuits breakers, contactors and, but not limit to, relays.  Each end of the din rail has a "stopper" which serves as a clamp to keep all the components in place.  The left stopper is fixed, but the right must float to compensate for the type and quantity of components.As a simple example, I would have a din rail assembly with the left stopper, a fuse block, a contactor, a relay and the right stopper.  The next option would not have the relay, so the end stopper would have to move next to the contactor.I have constructed 2 constraint sets for the right stopper and used a family table to manage them.  I ran the parameters command and select parameters when adding the column in the family table.  Verify was a success on both.  When I look at them in the family table viewer, the right stopper seems to stay

Hello everyone!   I have a problem understanding the selection filter in Creo 4.0 assembly mode. By default the filter (in assembly) is set to geometry and I was wondering If anyone has an explanation - Why did they implemented this change? What is the benefit? Why would anyone want to select geometry on assembly level?   I couldn’t find any benefits but I did notice that this change caused an increase in number of clicks for most basic operations ( like component selection ). For example in Creo 3.0 if I wanted to select and activate a component that was on the inside of an assembly ( behind other components). Clicks: Right mouse button (until desired component is highlighted) Left mouse button to select the desired component Right mouse button - Activate   Creo 4.0Clicks: Select selection filter Change the selection filter to part Right mouse button (until desired component is highlighted) Left mouse button to select the desired component Right mouse button - Activat

I'm making a drawing of a model that was created by someone else. When I show the dimensions on the drawing - all of the symbols show up as square blocks.  The numbers are fine, but the symbols for diameter, counterbore, depth etc. all show up looking like square blocks. Anybody know a reason why?

Hello, we have been using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to deploy software to the clients so they can install it "manually" without having admin access. Creo used to be installed with a silent install, users needed temporary admin access to execute a batch file that triggered the silent install.  This year we finally managed to put Creo in the SCCM as well. Unfortunately it does not work very reliably. It's less a problem if a former Creo version had been installed on the computer, with new laptops it pretty much never works.  IT found out that when using SCCM the installation happens with user "system" (session 0) and then fails. If executed manually, as a local admin, "session 1" is used and it works just fine. SCCM is not supported and I'm out of ideas how to share and deploy the software to 12 sites in 5 countries. How do huge enterprises with hundreds or thousands of seats do this?

I am using Creo 7.0, I am trying to copy my config mapkeys in Text folder. But Creo is not loading the config files every time I open Creo. 

I am using Creo Parametric 6.0.4.0 How do I go about having this helical sweep taper off at the ends?   

I have a drawing with multiple sheets. Sheet one has a master assembly and the subsequent sheets have sub-assemblies that belong to the master assembly. Sheet 1 behaves correctly, but the parameters on other sheets doesn't behave as expected. When I create a new sheet, the parameters in the table in the new sheet will be linked to whatever model is on the current sheet. When I try to edit the parameters in the new sheet, they have some random references attached, for example scale parameter would be "&scale:115", not sure where the number 115 come from, so if I edit this number out, then the scale is representative of the current active model. Is there anyway the sheets display parameters that are active on the respective sheets? I work around by individually removing the reference the parameters on every sheet. Currently, every parameter in the title block-title, scale, mass, drawing number etc. retain a reference to the model from the previous sheet.  

Hello,I'm using the Zemax opticbuilder add-in with Creo student edition. One of the great features of this add-in is the generation of 2d drawings based on iso standards. Unfortunately, the template can be used only with a commercial license even if our Zemax license is an educational one... with the agreement of Zemax, would it be possible for you to make the template compatible with the student edition? Cheers

Hello,Might be a beginner's question but how and where do I edit the messages that are printed to Message log?  In my local CAD environment I have created a mapkey that performs operation X. I want to print a message like: "Execution of Operation X" when I use the mapkey.  Picture below depicts examples of printed messages. Hi, recently changed to Creo 10.0 and noticed that the "standard color" for start templates is not the usual grey anymore. Instead volume parts are kind of lilac, while sheetmetalparts are slighly green. Is there anyway to change this back to the standard grey? I could of course color the templates now, but all of my older projects look lilac and green.

Good day.   I have a problem with Assembly drawings in CREO 10.0. Some lines/edges of parts that have been imported as STEP models show up in an assembly drawing even when behind other parts. These tubes are heat shrink wraps on cable behind several other parts and... These are connectors also displaying through several other parts in the assembly. I've tried the "Import Fix" tool etc., but with no luck.   Any advice will be appreciated.                          

Hello,   does anyone know if it's possible to inject a message into the message log? Let me explain the problem I'm trying to solve and maybe someone can suggest a better solution. We have a start tool which sends the users the right configurations upon startup. And with that the configurations they get are based on groups. So what we would like to display somewhere inside Creo is which group the users has started with.    thanks, Bruce

Hi all, I am working in Creo 9.0.1.0 and when I measure a feature part, then copy the measurement, it seems that Creo does not copy the value. I have tried Ctrl + C to no avail, and right click, copy to no avail. I have tried copying other things on my computer and there's no problem with it. Ctrl + C clearly works in Creo as I can copy and paste a datum plane with it, for example. Any idea why I am unable to copy a measurement? It is breaking my workflow as I need to manually write down the number then retype it where I want to use it. Thank you,Jeff Houston

Attempting to design a sheet metal box for an electrical enclosure.  Will end up needing to be watertight, so trying to avoid large gaps in corners on the flat wall so they can be welded closed.  Using the "Flat" tool creates these large corner gaps.  Any ideas? 

In Creo View version 5.x the lines on the aforementioned 4K-monitor are extremely thin (I assume the same would be true for Creo). This is especially the case for HLR view. The screen is a 4K monitor measuring 24" and having 196 dpi.   Is there an option in Creo View to increase the line width? If not, I suggest adding this, because the lines on high-resolution devices simply get too thin if kept at one pixel line width.

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to do this? If I have a fully formed sheetmetal part and I want the driving surface to be on the opposite side from where it is now? Hello,I'm a Creo Parametric 4.0 user. I'm updating the drawing templates for my company and I would like to add repeat regions in a table. In the repeat regions, I intend to display 3D-model parameter.However, for some reason, I'm not able to add repeat regions in a couple of table cells and an error message appears. In most cells it works perfectly fine, but in some cells it really bugs out. See attached pictures. If I unmerge the large cells, I'm able to create smaller, independent regions, But I want the region to be defined in large merged cells.The error message doesn't tell why it couldn't create the repeat region, so I need your advice. How can I resolve this issue? Thanks in advance! Erik  

Hello,I need to export multiple DRWs to PDF,I tried with Creo Distributed batch but it only got a maximum of 10 DRWs,If it exceeds 10 DRWs, the process will be stopped   

We are in Creo 9 and I have a very strong feeling it is possible with a config option to set the number of decimal places only for the tolerance of a dimension independently from the dimension setting itself.  Currently our decimal places setting by default is shown on this pic. For an automated Windchill authentication Creo Toolkit provides the command ProBrowserAuthenticate to preset login and password information for subsequent Toolkit calls which require authentication and authorization like ProServerWorkspacesCollect, ProServerObjectsCheckin, etc. At the moment many companies are moving from password based access to SSO (single-sign-on) by Shibboleth and therefor the old approach does not work anymore. Is there any workflow existing to provide the credentials from SSO by the Toolkit API?    

I have a table pattern in creo where an angular dimension is considered in the table which i didn't find in the part. In the pattern table the dimension name is ROT_DIR_1.Which dimension is this? Please reply if anyone have the answer. Thankyou.
