Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0I'm creating a parametric model with family table (end product will be a metal cast part). All basic features (revolves, extrudes, etc) scale appropriately with the values in the family table. However, when I added draft features, these features were failing in the dependent models (not failing in the generic model). It appears that draft features are losing their associativity to the relevant faces/edges/planes/etc, even when these features are still present in the failed model with the same name and number.

I am having issues with the following ModelCheck checks in my start file. I want to be sure that the CLASSIFICATION parameter is set to only one of the values set in the classification.txt file. On a brand new install of Creo, I'm having an immediate issue with the embedded browser...The contents of all tabs in the embedded browser are shifted to the right so that a portion is cutoff. Resizing the window only changes the amount of white blank space to the left of the content. I don't have Windchill setup currently to see if it is affected as well.I've done some quick Community searches and haven't seen any similar issues posted in the past. I've also tried some config.pro modifications to see if I could fix it myself to no avail. Thanks.

Starting with Creo 7 PTC changed the start parts to have absolute tolerance instead of relative tolerance because of multibody. I am aware of the topics on this board discussing absolute vs relative. I am curious as to whether anyone has done any studies about whether this has impacts on large assembly management.

I have an Excel file that has merged cells. I don't want to pull the native file into Creo. I am importing these now as a .csv but when I do that I loose the merged cells.   Does anyone have a technique or a better way of doing this? I looked at creating my own tbl file but they are not straight text.

I have assemblies with lots of representations.  I often need to go back and add something but I only need it in one of the representations but it adds it to all the representations.  I have tried activating the specific representation and performing the addition but it still adds to all.  Then I have to go and edit all the other representations removing the newly added component which can waste a significant amount of time. I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0What if the angle dimension does not display the suffix zero? I filled in 'ang_unit_trail_zero' and changed it to 'yes', but it didn't work. I tried searching for' draw_ang_unit_trail_zero 'but couldn't find it. I hope everyone can answer this question. Thank you.

Hi, the content of the parameter will translated depending on the Creo (9.0.3.0) language. Is it possible to use the English and German translation in two different parameters e.g. BUW_Name and BUW_Name_de? Thanks for your help. Ute      

I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.0.0Analysis fails after mesh is created and 99% of the FEA is completed of a fairly complex assembly. The same assembly has been successfully analysed in Creo Simulate.

Hello! I was creating one symbol file in which I need information extracted from one of the available notes in drawing but there is no method to define notes in variable text field. Right now, I am using parameters to define values. anybody knows how to define symbol using notes.

Hello Alls,I've got a problem with Creo2.I have an assembly since a long time that manage several product versions (options).This is handled with family tables and geometry copies from skeleton parts.I've made a whole assembly with all instances.However, all parts are not updated even with "verify in family tables".Each time I save whole assy, Creo tell me that parts are not updated...I've send to manufacturing several times wrong parts that has not been updated... 😞I can't understand why parts are not update.For some parameters, it's ok.But for Following skeleton and geometry copy, sometimes not.I also have Creo 9 (aax...) but not sure this will resolve anything...Perhaps a problem in my method ?Thanks for any advice...

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0When I create an assembly parameter table on a drawing file, such as BOM, there is no & displayed before the parameters, and the table does not respond after importing the assembly. Assembly parameters only take effect when I create an assembly parameter table on the format file and create a drawing file using that format template. I would like to know how to directly create assembly parameters on the drawing file. Thank you.

Hi all, i have been trying to create a domed surface from this flat surface. I need to maintain the outside shape & draw the surface up towards the centre about 5mm up ideally with a single arc. The outside profile cannot lift off the datum on which it sits. The flat surface does not have to be used, i just figured there might be some way of pulling/dragging or distorting it using warp or free form surface manipulation but i have not managed to, thus far. I have tried boundary blend too but cannot achieve the flawless surface i require. Any ideas? John

I am developing a project in JAVA OTK PTC Creo. I want to add data reading from Excel to the application. For this I am using POI 5.2.3 (xmlBean 5.1.1). Debug showed that the problem is in some resource, but this resource is in xmlBean, I have shuffled this resource everywhere, but no effect. We regularly use image files on Creo drawings, we import them from the downloads folder. When we check in the file in Windchill, it loses the image because it is on the client machine. Is there a way to import a image file into a workspace so it will check in with the drawing?       

I have a Sheetmetal part which I created using revolve option. I use unbend option to make a flat representation of the profile add 2 bends at either ends of the part and also couple of holes. Then I use bend back option to retrieve the original bend profile. Unfortunately, the profile created by the bend back option is not the same as the initial profile. This is shown in the attached pic-black line is the bend back profile and green line is the original profile.1) Why does this happen?2) Can I get back to the original bend profile?3) Is there another option to create this bend profile and add the necessary bend and hole features?NOTE: I use Creo 8.0.4.0 

Curious what types of technologies people might be using to manage and distribute their Creo Parametric configuration?    BAT scripts, PowerShell scripts, etc. HTTP/HTTPS connection Cloud file system CFS with content delivery network or replication Other? The company I work at is employing more external suppliers who will need to run the company's configuration of Creo Parametric on their machine. Until now, we kept everything on the local network using mapped drives. The model does not work if we need to support external partners, not on our network and globally dispersed.    We are looking for a more automated and globally accessible way to update the content and have users connect to it   To get started, we are currently evaluating AWS S3 and FSx with plans to try multi-region and CDN   Love to hear about any success stories people already have with this problem

is there a "live chat" type support for creo? im trying to install a 30 day trial for work and i get as far as this load screen and it bombs out... not sure where to go from here?        

I have sketch that where I control a particular angle with a parameter. The angle is between one of the default datum plane and a sketch feature. I am trying to vary the angle from 0 to 210 deg. When I try to update the angle from the initial 0deg, the model doesn't redefine automatically upon regeneration. Initially the angle is measured in anti-clockwise direction, but when I try to update the angle to anything more than 180deg, in addition to the regeneration error, the angle is also measured in clockwise direction, completely throwing off the sketch. I cannot go from 0 to 210 deg in one go. If I increase the angle first to 50deg and the to 100deg and then to 150 deg and then to 200deg, the angle would still be measured in anti-clockwise direction(the way I want it), but if I go from 0 directly to 200 deg, the angle would be measured in the clockwise direction. We have a few utilities we run in Windchill PDMLink that allow are Role or group to run the utility with Windchill Org admin access. In this way, we allow them to do an action without giving the users themselves the ability to run the action. Now we have a utility we would like our Creo users to run. The issue we face is that the creo assemblies use models from other product lines that one Creo user does not have access to check out/check in. As a result it would take a "super user" to run the utility as the end item level or many users at lower sub-assemblies. We would like to use the same kind of work around and have the utility pass on access to Org admin to run and check out the models and check them back in. Any idea if this is possible in Creo?       

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0I want to do a mass export of drawings to DWG-file format. Therefor I wanted to use the "Creo Distributed Batch" - Tool with a specific configfile. But we have some multisheet drawings and I want to convert all sheets in one DWG. Currently every sheet becomes a new DWG-file. When using the export functionality of Creo itself we have the tab "Sheets" where I can select "All sheets as paper space" and then it works as expected. I did not find any documentation to implement this in a config file for using with the batch utility.Is there a parameter which i have to use or any other workaround to achieve this?

While opening any model from my workspace, when I do "open in Creo", Creo application opens up, but it doesn't show any thing just black window.   Could someone please help.
