We have parts that were last saved in Wildfire 5, about 11 years ago. When we open then today in Creo 4 and make a change to the sketch or even a Save-As, Creo 4 will crash. We have cleared all workspaces for the user, and deleted the cache files from disk. We tried the following config.pro settings: enable_opengl_fbo no enable_opengl_vbo no enable_opengl_shader no graphics win32_gdi Neither one helped, the Save-As on an existing part will crash Creo. The weird thing is that it is only 1 user. I can open the same files on my computer and do a Save-as with no issues. It is a newer Dell workstation that IT has rebuilt with Windows 10 and I am guessing newer graphics drivers. The user windows profile is created new the first time a user logs onto a workstation, so that is not it. But with it still crashing with the graphics config.pro, that should not matter. Has anyone seen this where it is just one user having issues.
Hi Everyone.I am on Creo 8, and have an assembly with family table.I have created a Pro distributed batch file to export all the family table assemblies to STP format. Is there a way to get the batch file to read step export profile settings I have set in my config.pro What I am trying to have is the STP models to retain the colour schemes I have used in the Creo model.I can achieve this on an individual family table assembly export model, by save a copy to STP file, and with the selection of the options tab brings up the "step export profile settings" dialog box. By changing the Application protocol to "ap214_is", and saving the profile. This exports the creo model to STP keeping the colour scheme. I want to be able to batch export to STP using this ap214_is protocol..Any suggestions on how to do this, would be greatly appreciated.

Creo Toolkit registry file xxx/creotk.dat : application 'xxx' failed to start; see trailfile for details. I am receiving this error when I am trying to launch some OTK dll script in Creo 9. I am using Object Toolkit C++ on Creo 9.0.1.0. I am updating OTK scripts that all worked successfully on Creo 5. However, now, after updating everything, I can get the DLL's to all compile successfully, but after unlocking the scripts and registering them in the Registry file, only some work while the others receive the above error. Is there another location where the error details appear so I can do some more trouble shooting? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Mark Hardebeck
is there any way to show zero place tolerance in the tolerance display? thanks,Rich
I fully understand that Creo 5 is NOT and never will be supported for using with windows 11. I have a lot of reference data stored with a fixed licence for Creo 5, and I only occasionally need to view and maybe export some data from the archieve. Can anybody indicate if Creo 5.0 will at least load & function on a Windows 11 operating system, or do I need to ensure I maintain a Windows 10 work station for as long as possible.?
Hello Creo Community members, I am currently working on parametric model. This model changes according to relations and thus, we can create multiple variants. Now, I need to solve problems with purple (not regenerated) dimensions which appear on drawing when I change between different variants. I used drawing program to create combinate states to control purple linear dimensions. But this is not working for ordinate dimensions, which I need to use.I used all model dimension in the drawing that I could to avoid regenerations issues...Is there any way to remove all the purple dimensions at the same time, so that the model user doesn't waste time removing them one by one ?Thanks in advance for your contributionPeter
We are using Creo 7.0.1.0 and our custom CREO files like config.pro, .DTL, Start part/asm, Drawing templates are kept at OneDrive location. All users having read access to this location and fetching files from here. (used environment variables)In CONFIG the font directory is set to “C:\Windows\Fonts” and in DTL “default_annotation_font” is set to “romans__.ttf”.This configuration is working good for all existing users and we were adding new users as they join and also working as expected.but recently few new users (not all new) are facing issue in setting up the default font to “romans__.ttf”.when these users open existing drawing or create new drawing the font is not our standard font and shows font name “AS IS”We have tried setting up the font from drawing detail option where value present was “font.ndx” we applied “romans__.ttf”, after applying font when we reopen the drawing option the font is again set to “font.ndx”.Don’t know why this is happening, is there new patch applied or so
I'm using Creo 5 and can't figure out how to mirror multiple components either. I can't believe this isn't available!? Does no one using creo make symmetric assemblies? Is it available in Creo 8? Well, I'm off to make my 11 individual mirror features about the same plane.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.4.0I want to use PTC_WM_CREATED_ON in the condition.mcc file. When trying to use >= it does not check the file properly. The following syntax is used (PTC_WM_CREATED_ON GTE 20200603). The string value shown in PTC_WM_CREATED_ON is not recognized.
Hello all I´m a big fan of using Snapshots with contraints values to describe sequences of mechanical designs.....but I hope you will help me how update the Snapshot Contraints values in an easier way. This is the way I do it:1) Create one snapshot with all the contraints needed with the correct values for that sequence-step.2) Copy above snapshot and correct the contraints values for this sequence-step3) Etc The problem I find is that it´s very difficult to update, for example when I need to add a constraint I must click on every snapshot and update them, also it´s difficult to compare the snapshots to debug when something goes wrong. The attached pdf shows a simplified ASM with some notes to explain what I mean 🙂 BR Jan Olsson
Hello, I have drawing with some erased views. When I delete a sheet which content a view erased, the erase view "appear" on all other sheets. Is there a method to find and delete all views of a sheet or search for erased views in a sheet ?Or an option to delete erased views with the sheet ? Thanks
Hi All, I'm using Creo 8.0.Hopefully somebody here can help me out since I haven't been able to find a solution on the internet yet.Quite often I have to design tubes which will be cut from sheetmetal and then rolled into their round shape. Therfor all cuts need to be normal to the sheetmetal plate. So far so good. However when I need to make a simple angular cut at the end of the tube things get frustrating pretty soon. When you look at attached cross section you will see the upper end is exceeding the cutting line. Here I've used normal to driving surface. When I use normal to offset surface the upper end is fine but the lower end is exceeding. I do understand what it is doing so this still makes sense to me. Therefor I would expect "normal to both surfaces" should do the trick but this feature doesn't work at all. This is frustrating cause a simple cut like this can't be done in one feature but always requires more features. Am I missing something here or is it just a
We just upgraded to Creo 7.0.10.0 from Creo 4.0 M150. Does anyone know how to turn off the command information text in the upper right corner of the command ribbon? This is not a big deal, just something that annoys me.
Hello I want to select inner surfaces of a solid cube.I want to do it for Simulate purpose. But i should be able to use it in part modeling window
Is it possible to set Use standard hole profile as drill hole profile button selected by default while creating simple hole
Hi Guys, In Creo Parametric 7.0 I’m trying to replace an assembly in a simplified rep by use of a family table instance.I’m having an assembly with a pneumatic parallel gripper (some kind of cylinder) in, which is “driving” some other parts: This gripper has a family table with some instances (different positions of the jaws): Now I like to replace this gripper in a Simplyfied Representation in the higher assembly.I like to do that with the “Substitude selected models by family table”: This works fine for the gripper. But the parts (jaws and bolts) which are driven by the gripper aren’t following the jaws of the gripper: Does anybody know how to solve this?
Hello, I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this issue before. The exploded-lines that I create for my exploded drawing views are constantly disappearing or should I say, getting deleted. I have no clue why this is happening. I'm very meticulous with saving my views along with my drawing files too. Yet often when I close the file and open it back up again, the lines are gone and nowhere to be found in the model tree. This is beyond frustrating. I just wanted to ask if anyone else has these issues too.
Hi, I have set following settings:Model Properties /Detail option default_annotation_font arialn.ttf symbol_font ISOsame settings in drawing properties All symbol come in arialn.ttf but only the diameter symbol (by pressing button add diameter symbol to dimension) stays in old legacy mode (see picture - only lines no ttf font)Strange thing is - when i manually add the diamter symbol as prefix it is correct (see second picture) How can I fix this?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0Is it possible to change the amount of the component table, multiplying it by 2, without inserting 2 parts in the model tree?
We are using creo parametric in french but we are creating drawings in english. When a drawing section is created the section label is in french. Is it possible to force it to english "section" in some way?Basically today we need to edit the note and change it manually. If we can save some time it is good. I know one solution is to set it up in english language but we want to keep all the menus in french for people who are not too confident.
Hi! I have problem in my creo version 8. I cannot add H7 tolerances do some drawings. For some I can, for others I just can't see the option to do it. I tried to change settings of models, add tables with Hole tolerances etc. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas? I am attaching 2 examples - one is a drawing where it works, other where it does not.
