hi,We are going to implement a preview using TOOLKIT.The implementation scenario is as follows.1. After creating a list of components in the active assembly, configure the POPUP MENU.2. Select the component and right-click and click PREVIEW3. Generate JPG of the model and display it in TOOLKIT UI To implement the function, TOOLKIT must create a JPG file to create an image file of the model for preview. When creating an image file, TOOLKIT should display the model in the active window. Is it possible to create an image file without displaying the model in the active window?Or is there a path where I can reference the model's image file? [Like a preview of Open among Creo functions...] Thanks, Warm Regards, SeonHo Cha

Level/stage of completion prt/drw Blank part->Machined part->Ground part->Coated partCREO 7.0.3.0Hello, The point:What options are there? Is there a better/"best" way? Is Creo good enough in this area or would some changes make it easier? My area of struggle:example I make a 4 level of completion part set with each merged into the next. I want to make a similar product, Usually I would do a save as copy and CREO+Windchill grabs the drw and make a copy of that part and drw with the new name. Problem with the level of completion part set is the save as copy has no way to save all 4 levels into a new independent set(I would not expect it to). I have to export all 4 levels of prt/drw to my local machine, disconnect Windchill rename all the prt/drws in a session, reconnect windchill, upload the new parts set and drws. I want/wish/dream to streamline saving a level of completion part set as a copy. Sometimes I do the offline rename sometimes I run my mapkeys thro
Hi, I am trying to create a trail file to replace part in an assembly, is there any keyboard shortcut key to replace part in pro-e assembly? Because right now you have to select a part to replace it, so i was wondering if there is a keyboard shortcut key for that, that will ask what part needs to be replaced. Thanks
I am having an issue where I am attempting to make just the items I am calling out dark edges and everything else grey. We are using a skeleton as the base of the assembly to which everything is mated. In order to make that grey I changed the system appearance of manufacturing volume to grey. Where I run into an issue is when a component is an import Creo treats it also as a manufacturing volume and makes it grey as well. Using component display doesnt override the system appearance so I cant make imported components dark lines. Any ideas?
In my drawing I have several parts in my assembly that are imported quilts. Because of my appearance settings all quilts are designated to be gray, imported components come in grey. I cannot change this system appearance however because the base for my assembly is a skeleton and those are considered quilts so they need to be grey. How can I override the system appearance for a single component in the drawing. Using the component display option doesn't seem to override the system appearance.
Hello, I have created a very simple application using free java API. I am compiling .java to .class and then creating .jar archive. There is protk.dat that goes with it. What I noticed is Creo needs .class files as well along with .jar to start the application. Otherwise application start fails. So if I need to deploy this app I need to extract .class from .jar at same location. Is this expected? or Am I missing any configuration? Thank you for your help
On of my users is using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM030He Cannot open a solidworks file, creo shows an error message and crashes "non-creo models can only be retrieved from the primary server"Even when disconnected from windchill base this does not work.Licence level is PROEDesignAdvP, this should workThe error does not occur on my machine, using creo 4.0 M140, and another user with Creo 4.0 M090
Hello, All When I use Cutline Milling to mill a hole, I use Type_Helical , however, I found that I can not set Helical Pitch for Helical milling. Can anyone help me on this issue?
When I run the CreO 3.0, there is a fault "Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close" and "Error code 3: Would you like to visit http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html for help?", please fix this problem, thanks!
I have shown the three results of vibration analyses side by side simultaneously in animation. They are 1-sigma VM stress profiles. How to save these three animations in one {movie, video clip, gif, etc.}? Save As Backup can only save one animation each time. Other than using cellphone camera, has there a new technique developed to record the movements in the whole entire screen without discrimination? Thanks.
Hello all I have a fairly heavy assembly (700 parts and assemblies) that has programming which calls for different family table instances depending on user inputs. This is used to allow our engineers to easily configure our product as long as it falls within the abilities of the model. All assemblies and parts currently have the suffix following a root number. EX: 111_78, 112_78, 113_78. I need to be able to preform a save as and change the suffix of each file name ever time we process a new order to keep them unique in windchill. When I regenerate the model after preforming a Save As and replace the _78 suffix with _79, the program is still looking for the part/assembly with the _78 suffix and it does not allow me to regenerate. Is anyone aware of a wildcard character that could be used in the program so it is only looking for the root number and not the root number plus the suffix? Is there a way to find and replace the suffix in all sub-programs? Is th
Hello and sorry if this is a question that has been answered before but I could not find anything searching. How do you commonly indicate a painted surface? As an example we make some parts out of ADC12 but they are painted only on the outer surfaces? I can give the part the correct material but then if I would like to add a surface treatment, how would I do it? Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.1.0When I import dwg file into sketch, I had an error. Here are the errors that I facedRealDWG is not installed on your machine. Please consult your administrator about installing this application.
I have an assembly that is configurable via Pro/Program (modified dimensions, substituted parts, etc. Lets call it "widget1.asm". It contains about 100 parts in total, and can be configured in virtually countless ways.Under this assembly are all of the possible parts, depending on the configuration.widget1_part_a.prt widget1_part_b.prt widget1_bolt.prt etc Using a program parameter called "ignore_program", along with an "or" operator on all of the program statements, it's easy enough to get all of the parts assembled at once and and then perform a save-as in order to create a complete independently configurable copy, such as "widget2.asm", along with all of it's "widget2_xxx" parts. Here's my problem...I also have 117 drawing templates, which are obviously not all named "widget1.drw". 🙂 More like:widget1_config1.drwwidget1_config2.drwwidget1_no big hole.drw widget1_extra_toast.drw etc.So... how do I get a new independent copy of the assembly, parts, and drawing
Is there a way to take everything the middle mouse button does and swap it with the functions the right mouse button does?
Hi all, I want to automatically trim sketches. I would like to have one sketch with, for example, a logo. Then, I want to have a second sketch that is the boundary, or the 'trimming' sketch. For example, if I have this sketch text, but I want only the parts of that in the circle, is there a way to do this?Thank you,Jeff
Is there a way to override the section label so that I can have two sections with the same name in the assembly. I am trying to create two separate drawings from the same model and have the sections start at A-A and go on from there.
I have creo toolkit project and I am trying to perform File operations using Headers : iostream,fstream,sstream,string.h. Whenever I try to build the code I am getting Linking errors and the file responsible is Protoolkit_NU.lib. when I comment the code which is using fstream etc, the project builds fine. I am using Creo M030 and VS 2015. I have written all the File operation code in separate Header file and calling it in Creo project. any suggestions ? Thanks and regards, Sekar
As per the original post. When I do this the font size is larger than what is shown for a dimension with plus/minus tolerances. Is there a way to reduce the font for the tolerance portion?
Hello Multibody community! Welcome to a second post on multibody capabilities added in Creo 7.0.1. What I had not yet been fully covering in the last post was how Creo & Windchill interact as it relates to the multibody concept. So, here a summary of Multibody support for Windchill & Visualization General behavior Multibody parts are managed similarly to single body parts, bodies are not exposed Windchill versions prior to Windchill 12 Body designation information is ignored when connected to a Windchill Server version not supporting body designation yet Publishing of multibody parts to Creo View is supported since Creo View 6.1 (including exposure of bodies to Creo View) Windchill 12 & Creo 7.0.1 Support of Body designation, including Transfer of Body designation information from Creo to Windchill for models containing designated bodies WT part creation for designated bodies if BOM Designation is set (.prt, .asm) IBA mapping & propagation for body mater
Hello everybodyI am using Creo version 7.0I have a creo simulate questionVacuum pressure is applied toward the inside of the chamber. This pressure can cause deformation of round plates, fixed plates, etc. When x, y, and z are all fixed with a fully fixed constraint, you will not see any deformations occurring in the circular part, square plate, or rib.So I'd like to know how to look at the deformations occurring near the bottom of the chamber without completely fixing x, y, z.12 square plates are frame platesWe will give this plate a fixed constraint.Given a completely fixed constraint for x, y, and z, the deformation occurring in a circular plate, square plate, or RIB is unknown. So we want to impose constraints on the square plate. Is there a way other than a completely fixed constraint in this case? The pressure acts from the outside of the chamber to the inside.Round plates, square plates and RIBs are expected to undergo many deformations due to pressureI would like to see the deformat
I am on Creo 4. So I have tried the advice given in this post and in this post to no avail I want to sort my table by a parameter not used in the table. If I add a column using my parameter, it sorts just fine. As soon as I clear that parameter from the repeat regin, the sort order gets lost. I am having the same trouble as the guy in the second link where he says: "In WF3 this works fine if the paramater is included in one of the table columns, but if it is not reported in the table then the sort order reverts back to what appears to be a default of asm.mbr.type then asm.mbr.name. So I played about and found that I could include the parameter in a column of my BOM table but set the column width to -1 characters wide so that it is hidden." I could not get my column width set to -1 or even 0. It had to be 1 or more and I really didn't want to do it that way anyway. It appears that people have gotten this to wo
Refer to the screenshot below, I just read this Help section: it says at the end that "But when you select Stresses, Rotations, or Reactions you cannot obtain the same results." What does it means? The calculated results can be different by the status of output selections?
