Does anyone know how to "un-freeze" a drawing table? I'm trying to add a row to a table and getting the message, "You may not perform this action on a frozen table." I'm getting that message for just about anything I try. Has anyone run across this?

I'm investigating the use of MBD for my company, and I'm wondering how we would easily add all of the new layers, annotations, annotation tabs, etc., to our existing jobs.  We have existing start models with assemblies half built, and we may use an existing job as a starting point for a new design.  So I do I basically merge a new MBD start part, to an existing part? I am trying to figure out why my company's 3D models are so CPU/memory "heavy" and I could use some advice. At my previous job I worked on heavy equipment which was quite a bit more complicated than what I work on now, but the models took less time to load and ran much smoother on a lower spec computer. For example, I could use a Space Mouse controller without any issues with most of the top level master model in session. At my current job the subsystem models are extremely slow and choppy. In most cases it runs so choppy/slow that I can't use my Space Mouse but everyone seems to think this is normal. Things improved slightly when we upgraded from WF4 to Creo 2, but I think things could be improved much much further.The CAD admins at my previous job were much stricter about keeping models clean and lightweight. For example, they tweaked some settings to disable previews, disabled transparency, enforced proper layering, kept detail at a reasonable level, and required all models to be pr

Good Morning everybody,Id like to ask You, if there is any way to:1)Render part/assembly with edges similar to "shading with edges" when in standart view---OR---2)Set better quality or anti-aliasing for edge linesI want to use those renders for diagram and schematic purposes and those are much better with lined edges, but those basic ones are looking very poor and I am going to make those diagrams public, so I would prefer bigger quality.Sorry for not perfect English and Thank You for any help or advice.

dimension and tolerance change synchronous between save as drw and the initial one for example, we save the internal drawings as a new customer drawing, when we change the tolerance of the dimension on the customer drawings, the internal drawings tolerance will change synchronous, that is we do not want to happen, how to solve it?

Good morning everyone.  I'm having serious troubles excluding sketches being added to a layer via rules by name. For this layer I want to add all sketches which don't include the following name *Draft*. When I setup the layer rules as shown, noting is added to the layer:       If I setup the layer to include based on the name it works as expected.      Any thoughts why this is happening when I am excluding based on name? This method works without any issues collecting datums; however, it breaks when working with sketches.    Thanks!

Hello everyone I am new to this forum.  I have a issue to solve. I wants to create a animation, therefore I am having a Metall sheet and I wants to press a Rivet nut to it. I wants to create a animation, how the rivet nut deforms and change it shape. Can someone help me, how can I do this? Best regards and thank you in advance. 

Is there a way to save a copy of a part whilst being dependant on the original part? I would like the part to behave similar to a mirrored part but without creating a file that's mirrored.

Hello out there,is there anybody out there who knows how to create a rectangular helical sweep Feature, as in the shown black and white Picture?I tried my best to get a solution, but it is not to be used. The gradient is somehow not constant in the red area to the blue area. The reason is the great difference between the inner radius and the outer radius. If the shape of the required rectangle increases, or edge lengths are the same length (quadrangle). Then the slope becomes more linear.Is there any help out there?Thanks Heiko

  I'm trying to trace an image in creo. But when I import the image, the image appears to be in this distorted patterned layout. The right image is what I want to import. Does anyone know what's wrong?   Image is in PNG

Hey I have made this square using symmetry and for some reasons Creo doesn't recognize it as a closed loop(but doesn't tell me where) and won't let me extrude it....does anyone know why this is?I have attached a photo; for some reason I couldn t attach the source file though

Good morning,I am wondering if anyone knows how to export or create "annotation sets" in a pvz file.I know that simpreps and/or combined states can be included in to CreoView (*.pvz) files bycorrect settings in the rcp recipefile. These are exported as "viewables" to the CreoView file and can be selected under the tab "Viewables".I have a PTC demo pvz file which has some kind of "Previews" to states. These can be selected under the tab "Annotation Sets" in Creo View - see attached screenshots.>> DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CREATE THESE ANNOTATION SETS??? I know there are countless topics on this with many answers.  I still seem to struggle with what a proper pen table should look like.  I've copied several pen tables that have been posted in here and tried them out to varying degrees of effectiveness.  I haven't ever really come across one that worked with EVERYTHING i wanted.   I would like my phantom lines to be different than my hidden lines some of the pen tables allow this to happen, but i can never find out what pen is controlling the phanton lines over the hidden lines.  When viewing in a PDF its often that the Phantom Line is showing up basically as a solid line unless you zoom in very very close. I don't have a good screen shot detaling this i would like my Detail Circle to be properly spaced.  Some of the pen tables i've tried has the detail circle as super tight(basically a solid line when viewing in a PDF and on the drawing file itself) The attachment for this bullet point is zoomed in pre

I have some GD&T that was placed in the model(flatness and parallel).  I can show it on the drawing but there's no way for me to make it tanget to a surface.  I can create the GDT in the drawing(draft) and place it tangent.     So whats the deal here?  Am i missing something?   See image below.  The one circled in RED is the one that i did in the model.  The one circled in ORANGE is placed via the drawing.     ALSO,  doing GDT in the newer versions of creo is an absolute mess.  its so buggy.  Its taking me over 30 minutes to put a handful of GDT in the model and get it to accurately show on the drawing.  Also my flags no longer snap to a snap line.  

Hello everyone, I'm designing a car and would like to calculate drag with flow analysis. Is this possible and is there a tutorial that I can follow? 

I'm basically trying to create a surface that looks like a tarp over the geometry. Basically to take a rectangular surface and "drape" it over geometry.   I've tried a number of different techniques, and using Wrap is the closest I've gotten, but it's still not quite right.  The reason I was using wrap was I wanted to keep the lengths of each edge of the tarp a fixed length, and then have them just end up wherever they go.   However,  when I try to do this, I can't seem to get the beginning and the end of the curve to match up. Creo seems to be trying to force the sides to be horizontal, when they shouldn't be.   I tried using a spline to as an experiment, so that I just had a single curve, but there was still the discontinuity at the beginning/end point. Is there any way to force the wrap to keep the closed shape of the original sketch? I've played some with the Center option and a sketched coordinate system in the wrap command, but I haven't quite figured out

I seems that since we added this "pattern" with hundreds of holes to a part in our assembly, that it has bogged down the model.  Is there a good way to make the model respond faster?     Thanks

Hello, In Creo 5, I am trying to delete a part from my workspace that used to belong to an assembly.  I have removed this part from the assembly and erased objects.  I even went as far as re-starting Creo.  When I attempt to remove this part from my workspace, I receive a Windchill error stating that I must delete the next assembly if I am to delete this part.  Can someone explain to me why this part is still referencing the next assembly or vice versa such that I cannot delete the part without having to delete the assembly?   Note: I have gone into the Reference View for both the part and the assembly and removed all references and dependencies to one another for each where applicable.  Also, after cancelling the deletion of the part from my workspace (because Windchill would not allow the transaction), I received the attached error.

I need to add Parameters for nearly a thousand parts in pro/intralink. Currently me and my team is opening each path, add these new parameters and checkin. Is there any way I can automate this or even a faster approach. Can someone point me in the correct direction.

Just installed Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0   Launches OK but I need to be able to prevent the internal browser from displaying all of the pages for learning tips, Punditas services, etc.  I am getting an unacceptable amount of delay until all of those pages load.   Help! Note that I already have web_browser_homepage about:blank in our config.sup.    Barry

Hello all,   I am wondering if anyone has ever modeled a length of chain in Creo Simulate as part of an assembly. I would imagine would be best model it as several small idealized beams with there vertices shared. I know in ANSYS there is a specialized beam element that can simulate chains but I was not sure about Simulate.   Thank you for your consideration.
