Hello, Is it possible to redefine/ modify pattern table using Creo toolkit C++? I am trying to update the dimensions using Ptb file which is used for read function of pattern table. I am having issue to build element tree of this pattern table and to define first instance of this. Is there any sample code for it?
I'm working with ME'scope and Creo Parametric 11. ME'scope can export structure files in either .UFF (Universal File Format) or ASCII Text (.txt) files. I don't see a way to import either of these into Creo. I want to be able to modify the parts from ME'scope so that I don't have to re-design them in Creo from scratch. I know I can import a Parasolid to Creo, but I don't know if selecting that option with the ASCII spreadsheet (.txt) file will work. I thought I would ask the question before wasting time on experiments that may not work.
Hello,I have multiple skeleton in my assembly. I use to ProAsmSkeletonGet() to retrieve skeleton as ProMdl Skel. It retrieves first skeleton from model. I want to get also the next skeletons to perform operations on feature in it. Can anyone one suggest how do I retrieve second skeleton with help of ProAsmSkeletonGet() or any similar function to perform operation on feature in other skeleton in same assembly.

I have encountered an issue that I cannot seem to solve, when working with sheetmetal parts. The sheetmetal part has different features to be placed 360 degrees around a cylindrical object, for laser engraving purposes. So the thickness of the sheetetal is on paper irrelevant - so ideally so thin it is just visible on the assembly. The dimensions of the sheetmetal part matches the diameter of the object and so does the features on it - atleast theoretically. The sheetmetal bend is set to 360 degrees and to keep the dimensions on the inside of the bend. But, when assembling the sheetmetal with the cylindrical object, I get small inaccuracies on the technical drawing of the assembly - the angles between the features do no longer match, which is an issue on the given task.I have found out that changing the thickness of the sheetmetal impacts the position of the features, even though the part is set to keep the dimensions on the inside of the bend, and I do not know why. I am worki
Hi all, As the title suggests, I don't know if deleting my creo_parametric_customization.UI file is my only option in getting to do my work using Creo Parametric 10.0.1.0 Things worked fine yesterday. But this morning, if I don't delete the UI file, the software crashes after showing the splash screen. Traceback.log suggests "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" If I delete the creo_parametric_customization.UI file, software works fine. But my ribbon and quick-toolbar customizations are gone... And attempting to import them from the backup .UI causes a fatal error crash. Any suggestions? I suppose it is wise to keep a backup of a (working) creo_parametric_customization.UI file...

Hello,I recently began to see the circles in my drafts as polygons (see image attached). It began since:1. I have a new ultra wide monitor2. run some updates on my computer. It's only an issue when in draft or sketch mode, other programs are not affected (like when exporting a draft to PDF). I'm using Creo version 8.0.3.0 Thank you in advance for any help.
Greetings, In my current endeavor, I am focused on designing and optimizing a pipe connector that transitions from a diameter of 100mm to 125mm. This project involves utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)/BMX studies to refine the design parameters. As I am relatively new to the field of fluid simulations, this project serves as both a challenging and enriching learning experience. For this project, I am employing Creo Parametric 11. My initial design incorporates an inner core that assists in the diameter transition, aiming to maintain efficient fluid flow. The preliminary design intent is illustrated in the first image attached. Front viewBack viewSide viewSide view with extension tube for CFD analysisI have extended the tube on both ends to enhance the accuracy of the CFD analysis. Could one please confirm if this approach is correct? Upon advancing to the fluid analysis phase and establishing a fluid domain, I encountered an unexpected issue—noticeable fr
Hello,How (where) could I find in my configuration of hole the following specifications for a Kato hole? The problem is you can find them in Creo but not in the Hole-configuration. (Core) Drilling depth DRILL_DEPTH 2. Thread depth THREAD_DEPTH 3. Thread length THREAD_LENGTH Thanks, in advance. Djiki Wilfried
We had set the default bend radius for everyone by adding smt_dflt_bend_radius smt_thickness*0.5 to our config.pro so everyone had the same bend radius's and was more accurate on how it was built. I was designing a bunch new Sheetmetal parts only to realize the default is now .03 which cant actually be made when your are bending .25" thick Sheetmetal. So i went to check the configuration editor and smt_dflt_bend_radius now has a cross out symbol. Is there a new way to set this so everyone has the same default bend radius so no one forgets and sends out a part that cant be made?
Is anyone have ever configure Creo Parametric FlexLM to work within 2 network using a NAT?We have 2 network, so that the people on the second network can ping the FlexLM on the original network we configured the NAT to point the IP and Port 7788 of LM_Admin but the users on the NAT side cannot get licensing. as we run the ptc_status all license are shown "counted":
Hello all, I am trying to import datum points from .pts file stored using Toolkit C++. I am loading the pts data using WfcIntfPTS and also getting feature using GetFeaturebyId(). I am unable to find method to assign this imported pts file to the the feature. Can anyone suggest me the method to do so? Or can suggest me method to import this .pts file and assign it to datum points feature.
CREO 9I'm trying to create wire spools using an .nwf style format created in excel, based on:An exported file based on a set of manually created wire spoolsTemplates from @BrianMartin The syntax examples found here: About Neutral Format Wire List (ptc.com)A .spl file written from a manually created wire spoolI've tried the following format:"NEW WIRE_SPOOL DATAPARAMETER MIN_BEND_RADIUS 9PARAMETER THICKNESS 3PARAMETER UNITS MM"... as well as variations of it to include "PARAMETER NAME_FORMAT W-###", "PARAMETER COLOUR [COLOUR]", "PARAMETER DENSITY [DENSITY]" & "PARAMETER MASS_UNITS KG" and exclude the "PARAMETER" from every line as per the .spl file. I've tried including the this text in the .nwf file for my part designation data, and copying the formatted text into Notepad and save it as a .spl file as I don't have access to Creo schematics. However I keep getting the following error message, with the number changing based on how many parameters I'm trying to use
Hi, I tried to export my part as step with different default cys But in my result step file the default cys z and Y axis are interchanged. Check image for details. Help me with a solution. ThanksRam RDesigner
I am using PTC Creo 7.0 and want to analyse the behaviour of pressure in a braking system. I was thinking to use a simplified model consisting of a length of brake line (4.8mm bore) connected to a piston inside a cylinder. (35mm diameter with 0.5mm stroke)I would then introduce restrictions in the brake line and analyse the effect on pressure build up behind the piston. Does anyone have experience with a model similar to this? As a starting point, I have created a transient flow analysis of a simple brake line with a restriction, but without the piston element: the brake line is set with 8000000Pa inlet pressure and 0Pa outlet pressure but this is not yielding the expected results (i.e. a ramp up in pressure from zero, finishing with the outlet pressure equaling the inlet pressure). This is the result I obtain currently:Looks o.k. so far, however if I simulate a number of different restriction diameters, I get this: I would expect final outlet pressure to
Hello, is it possible to remove the variied elements in TOOLKIT? The function ProVariantfeatItemStandardize() doesn't work for Dimensions. I could only remove features. I work with Creo 10.0.4.0 Thanks!
Hi All, Is there a way to measure the coordinates between one asm to another in creo view?
HelloI am trying to model a simple CFD with heat transfer. The model contains a solid body with internal flow channel and two holes for inlet and outlet. The flow channel was created in solid part by revolving a sketch and removing material, then I added holes on surface to interface with that channel. When I create fluid domain, I select the surface containing the inlet and outlet holes. The created fluid body looks fine. However, when I try to define boundary conditions for inlet and outlet, I am unable to select each surface individually. Both inlet and outlet get highlighted together as I try to select either one to define flow. Has anyone encountered similar problem? thanks for your advise in advance. Also another question is what is 'caps' option and what is seed surface when creating fluid domain, Do I need to define a seed surface?thanks
Greeting, I don't write bom relations very often. How do I write a simple one for a parameter I have called "material". This is what I put and it does not work. Do I have to change in repeat region? IF asm_mbr_part_number=="MS51957-26"asm_mbr_material="CRES, PASS"ENDIF Wayne
I am working in Creo 10 and having trouble editing line style widths on quilted components and imported features in assemblies. As it is, when I print my drawings, these features come out much too bold. I was hoping this could be corrected in my drawing options, but I have not found anything that helped. Someone suggested I try to use the Data Doctor tool but the many unfamiliar options in it forced me to step back until I can better understand. I am open to any suggestions that might help.
Hello, I am trying to read a ptb file into pattern table using toolkit. I only find one way to do so is to read the ptb file and then build the element tree and assign the values into the element tree. Is there any other way it can be done or any sample code to refer how to build element tree of pattern table. Thank You

Olympic Rings. Has anybody tried to model the olympic rings, i.e. 5 proper interlocking toroids as shown in the attached file, and not the faked versions you can see from the games in Paris. I find it quite a challenging item and wonder if it is solved already.
