Creo Elements Direct

Hello all, whenever I want to load an item from Part library, creo elements direct modeling 19 hangs forever and i have to kill it with task manager. I can view the item, it hangs when i press middle mouse to complete the command. I can create screw connections, feather keys and gears with part library, the problem happens with the command with "load" icon. On google i found https://support.ptc.com/apps/solution_preview/solution/lang/presolution?lang=en&n=CS193389 which is exactly what happens to me, but i didn't found the solution. Is there a patch or a release? Thanks in advance 😉

I am attempting to save an update to a large assembly in our Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server. During the save process the status bar has said "Applying Transaction" for over an hour now though the little hour glass continues to spin. I can see via Task Manager that both SolidDesigner.exe and ModelManager.exe are still running and using alot of memory however there is no CPU or network activity. Is this process stuck or is something still happening in the background? Is there somewhere on my local computer or on the server where I can find a log of whats happening? I don't mind waiting this out as long as I know that eventually it is going to finish.

I know there were some posts about this a few years ago but I was wondering if anyone has any tricks to get Model Manager to run 64 bit or atleast with more memory. I have increased java memory (-Xmx) to the max of 1024m but I still get hangups when working with some large assemblies that we have. One assembly that I am working with now I can get to load if I set some sub-assemblies to load as partial however I cannot consistently get the top level assembly to save which I need to do when I create configs owned by the top level. The assembly has 150,000 child objects. Thank for your help.

Hi.I shelled a curved part and built various internal surfaces. I need to unshell it now so it becomes a whole solid part again. Is there some way of doing this?I can still specify the original Open face.Any ideas?

We are dealing with files provided to us from Creo Elements / Direct Modelling. These are provided in STEP format, but we cannot load them into other systems with the same assembly structure.   If an Assembly contains a number of parts that are the same, it creates different copies with different names e.g. Having Part "P" 4 times results in P, P.1, P.2, P.3. CE/DM then rolls this up in P (4).   In STEP, it creates one master copy of the part, and all instances are derived from that one.   It doesn't appear to ensure that the master part does not have the appended character. So we are seeing 4 instances of Part P in Creo Elements / Direct Modelling, but the files are loaded into other CAD systems as P.2, or with another suffix (anything from P, P.1, P.2 or P.3). We can't see any pattern for what suffix is applied.   Has anyone come across this, and is there a way to either load these step files, or export them in such a way that the naming conventions in Creo Elemen

Hello All,   Does anyone know if there is a way to customize the title bar text of the Creo 4 application window so that it reads a custom text string instead of just "Creo Parametric".   In Creo Elements Direct you have the ability to place an argument after the exe labeled -TITLE and then give it a text string that would show up in the title bar of the application window.   Thank you for all replies. how do I re install Creo Elements direct on my laptop?

Hi, Are there any possibilities to transfer existing Creo associations between drw and prt or asm into Creo Elements Direct? I have read on the community that it is possible to open native .prt and .asm in Creo Elements Direct. But what if they are associated to a drw? Why is it that displacement for a cone is not rotational symmetric for an internal pressure? A sample model is attached (Creo 3.0) I've brought it back to the bare minimum. 1/4 cone, symmetry, default mesh etc. It doesn't help if you refine to enormous amounts of elements, Large deformationm analysis makes it slightly better, but it is never right?   Why is that? it should not happen. How do we solve this?   Extra: I've added a full 360 degree version in Creo2.0 format    

How are attachments added to masterdata in Model Manager?

We wish to store parts always in english speech.  (PartLibrary --> ModelManager) But when the user log in german, the parts are in german. (lang=german) We search a solution.   in German: Wir haben 3 Entwicklungsstandorte. Benutzer loggen in deutsch oder auch in englisch ein. Bei der Ablage von PartLibrary-Teilen, werden diese in der jeweiligen Sprache abgelegt. Wir möchten dies nun für alle vereinheitlichen und die Teile generell in englischer Sprache ablegen. Hat hier jemand eine Idee? Danke im voraus. Gruss am   IDEE ...9001 wurde bei PTC eingegeben. Techsoft hat dies auch als Idee aufgenommen.

Trying to install Creo3 m130.  Nothing but creo agent errors on the two that I've done.   Looks like this has been going on in the Creo world for a couple years. So the solution is to jerry rig the install by setting creo_agent_exe_path?     This seems like a simple to fix, should PTC not simply fix the install? I have concerns about this.  What about my current production Creo Elements pro version that still needs to be running?   Will this need to change with every install? Am I submitting to a lifetime of babysitting this env variable for 150 people?
