I wanted to enable same numbering logic as Windchill OIR on File Name attribute in Creo while creating new object in Creo. With current configuration CAD Objects are creates e.g. PRT002.PRT as shown below  :  I already can create CAD object as per my define OIR as below : Please help me to get Windchill OIR configure to Creo to create CAD objects with same numbering scheme.

I`d like to define the size of any random screw for my modelling purpose using an excel sheet. Is it possible? If yes, could anyone please explain the process of it?

Good morning everyone I need to change the default values ​​of the attached image, regarding the screw passage diameter I saw that it is modified on the DIN13-1.hol file of the IFX folder, but the depths and diameter of the screw seat in IFX does not take them into account because it goes to get them from another place..has anyone already tried to make these changes? to not lose these changes it would be better to position them externally so that it is the same for all users if so how? Hi, I am trying to implement a repetitive tasks that opens a listed drawing in a new window and exports it in a different format. and that it can be stopped during repetitive tasks.   Work scenario) The repetitive tasks is implemented with a "for" loop, and the task of opening and exporting the drawing is temporarily implemented with the "EmptyWindowCreateAndDelete" function.   use a window procedure to respond to the user to stop during the task. When the window procedure window is closed, the loop stops.   This function is effective in loops. The TEST2 function works only with the loop without EmptyWindowCreateAndDelete, and when the user closes the window, the loop seems to stop in the middle. (view in My Videos) However, when used with a function that creates a new window like EmptyWindowCreateAndDelete, the window procedure does not respond to the user's click. I retrieve model with ProMdlnameretrieve but I am not able to display it using toolkit. I used ProMdlDisplay but still it does not work it stays in active session but do not get displayed in window. What should I do?

How would I read a parameter that is located in the part from the drawing?I have a drawing open and active and with JLink I want to read a certain parameter that resides in the Part not the drawing.I can open the part and get, but I would rather do it from the drawing so I don't need to open part. Hi, I'm trying to configure multiple versions of creo (Creo 8 and Creo 10) in a machine and i need to access vb api of each version based on the user action such as open. as per the instructions i had added pro_comm_msg.exe of Creo 10 to environment variables. my doubt is that how to setup the same for Creo 8? And will the COM classes and interfaces will be segregated for both the version and both can work parallelly?

Creo 10 It seems like when I display hidden lines some of them appear as blue dashed lines when they should appear as gray dashed lines.  Why is this occuring?  How can I fix this?   I have already tried editing the line style to Hidden and still they appear as blue dashed but when printing follow Geometry line style.  I can change the hidden line pentable settings and they only effect the gray dashed lines.    Below is the drawing in Creo: Blue dashed line and gray dashed lines are both hidden items in the view. The gray hiddens lines appear correct when printing, but some of the hidden lines appear as blue dashed lines.  This is cuasing issues when printing.  The blue dashed lines follow the geometry pentable settings but as dashed lines.     Below is Print Preview - using pentable  - You can see the gray hidden lines appear correct and follow the pen table settings, while the blue dashed "

From this manual method I need to automate this process to create new part number and part name only in the party modern template. If any one knows about the automation in relations or pro program, please guide me through this to make possible. I have a parametric startscript and i it is creating a creotk.dat for the toolkit usage.Now i have a second toolkit which iam writing in the creotk.dat.Now i have the problem that i cant start the second one. It is loading in it but cant start with the message in german:Initialisierung des fremdsprachigen Programms "Name" fehlgeschlagen: Fehler PRO_TK_GENERAL_ERROR.I wrote the text also in the creotk.dat which already exists. Environment variable PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE is already implemented. How can say in my startscript (Powershell) that he has to implement it to parametric?

Hello,we are getting this error PRO_TK_CANT_MODIFY (-48) trying to assign a parameter value or creating a new parameter. I found this https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS419066: from Creo 10.0 on, object are requested to be in checkout state to modify parameters, when used with Windchill.Do you know if there is any options to workaround this?As developers, we need to revise and complicate our logic flow to add a checkout to our customization routine. That could be expensive and time-consuming.Thanks a lot

Hi, We have a new installation of Creo and Windchill., and I am setting up the system before rolling it out to our users. I want to be able to use IFX in a multi-user collaborative environment where everyone uses the same setup, thus having the same options. I also want to store the data in Windchill.. I have configured IFX to use catalogs of the fasteners we want to use, and I have created the dat and prt files to accompany this. The dat files contain all the instances that we need, and also adds specific parameters to the files on creation of the prt instance. All of this works perfectly when in a stand alone environment on my PC. (Thanks to Oliver of B&W for his help on this) The problem occurs when I try and enable the 'Windchill' options in the IFX options. I have uploaded the catalogs and data files to Windchill, and pointed the options to these folders:When I start IFX, it creates the folder ‘PATH_ABS_WINDCHILL_DOWNLOAD’ and populates the sub-folders correctly

Hey guys, Im currently testing a VBA Code from a college, that was written for Creo 4. In one part, it uses the method IpfcParameter.GetDriverType(). It worked fine in Creo 4, but now with Creo 10, it gives the Runtime Error '-2147352567 (80020009)': pfcExeptions::XToolkitObsoleteFunc. The method is still present in the VB API User’s Guide 10.0.0.0, so I dont know why it should be obsolete. Is there a workaround to get the value otherwise?

Hi all, Unable to create balloons from repeat region bom table. I'm getting return error (Drawing not displayed) for last line api "ProBomballoonAllCreate". but drawing is already displayed.
