Windchill Version: 12.0.2.7Creo Parametric Version: 9.0.2.0 I am trying to map a Creo Attribute to Windchill's CAD Document Uses Link. I've followed these steps:Create Reusable Attribute  I've added the attribute to the CAD Document Uses Link In Creo I created an assembly with a part. I added the TEILENUMMER attribute to the part and made sure to designate the variable to Windchill.  I checked in the Assembly and the Part.After these steps I exptected to see the the defined value (0000010028) in the Structure tab on the assembly on the TEILENUMMER attribute. However, it is empty.What did I do wrong / missed?

Thought I'd give back a bit to the community, one secret weapon that I've been leveraging for quick and dirty automation is to access the asynchronous VB API through PowerShell. VB API is a .NET construct, so it's accessible through VB, C#, as well as PowerShell. API wise, it is almost 1:1 with the base J-Link package, so you are not missing out on much. You will not have Toolkit functionality, but you can in theory create Toolkit DLLs to load in via config.pro that you can invoke via the VB API.   The convenience of using PowerShell is that it is deployed by default on all machines Win7+. You may run into some compatibility issues with Powershell V2, since that was a rather primitive version compared to what we have today. Win10 deploys with Powershell 5 and above. Hello all, I am a fairly new user to Creo, so bare with me with some of the terminology, but I am having an issue with exporting a 2D sketch in Creo. When I export the file (shown in the pictures attached) and import it back into Creo the file shows up blank with only a picture of the DXF file that I was trying to make. I have tried importing the DXF on SolidWorks as well and this also results to the same issue. Does anyone know why this happening? Thank you in advance!

I’m trying to use toolkit to delete .drw files under working directory. There is a situation when the model mounted to the drawing is missing, I can’t manage to delete the drw file with promdlnameretrieve() and Promdldelete(). Does anyone know any other method to delete a file from disk in toolkit, many thanks.

Hi,   I am Dnyaneshwar Maid and working as Sr. CAD Engineer in Miba Engineering Center, Pune Maharashtra State, India. We are using Creo 7.0 along with Windchill PLM Version 12.1.2.0 database system.   In this year we have developed some macro/batch files for customization under Tools>>Auxiliary Applications>> option. These all customized batch files we have kept on common server which is located  in Europe so that we all (Indian and European or USA Colleagues) can use these batch files whenever needed. Now we are facing issue and these batch file's are not getting started in India and coming message that unable run the batch file.  When we contacted to developer he is saying that due low internet speed (low band width) these files are not getting run as these files are running from common server as mentioned above. We are having net speed of 200 Mbps and still developer saying to increase it to run batch files smoothly.   I want to ask you all if a

I use a copy geometry to get planes from my skeleton. Now I have a lot of planes in my model. It makes it hard to find the plane that I need on the screen. I want to use layers to only show the planes that I want to use as references for my desired feature. But, when I try to select a plane from a copy geometry for creation of a layer, it selects all the planes from that copy geometry. Is there maybe a way to use just a selected few of the planes from a copy geometry in a layer? Thanks a lot for ideas and answers!

I need to make some custom toolkit buttons in Creo Parametric 8 but the PTC examples don't work and the documentation seems conflicting and is very unclear about how to start. I have created an async program in VB before, also with Creo Parametric 8, but this was a sort of background worker without UI involved. This program was pretty straightforward using the documentation. Linking VB.net to the Creo UI seems impossible at this point. Has anyone succeeded? Do you have a 'helloworld' example where the application is linked to Creo and a working custom button is added?

Hi there,recently i decided to create a specific restricted parameter to add in my start part.prti've followed the "external file" approach and i 've created a .txt with my   parameter.Then i've updated my config.pro adding the path of the new file.Initially Creo (version 9.06) was not loading the file and i could understand why.After few trials i've found my issue.My configuration files were stored in a windows folder managed by nextcloud (the cloud storage software my company use ). By the time i moved the restricted parameters file into a local folder , (such as my desktop)Creo was perfectly able to load the file and use the parameter.My question here is how to keep the possibility to store the file among the other configuration files inside the cloud environment.Does Creo agent have anything to do with this?

Hello, I am creating a function that prints multiple drawings at once.Now I'm getting options with ProPrintPCFOptionsGet and using ProPrintExecute to print the printer, and every time I use the ProPrintExecute function, I'm getting a pop-up specifying the printer.Of course, I know it's a necessary pop-up, but it's uncomfortable because a printer option pop-up appears whenever one drawing is printed when multiple drawings are printed.Is there any way I can adjust this pop-up so that it doesn't come out? Using Creo 9.0.1.0I have a drawing program watching the state in Windchill (InWork, Under Review, Released, etc) as the state changes the drawing program updates a parameter with a message displayed on the border of the title block (“InWork - not for production use”)I need to update that program to include a new state with a new message. I am using Creo Parametric 6.0.6.0 Student. I have set up the config.pro file with all my preferences which includes metric units. When I open a model the units are Imperial but all my other preferences are correct. It's a bind having to remember to change it for every new part.Is there a fix?

Did you manage to get this working?Reference link   We are running into the same issue, with the added complexity that they've removed this functionality completely from Creo 10. So using a key to allow deprecated config option only temporarily solves the issue.
