Hi,   I am trying to run example Asynchronous J-Link Application with CREO 7.0, there were some exceptions and error which I have resolved, but still it throws me this error while running the app. Error: Cannot initialize message system; index file apsmsg.ndx not found Exception: com.ptc.pfc.Implementation.pfcExceptions$XToolkitGeneralError   Can anyone help, thanks!Hamza

Hi All,   I'm playing with flexible component in otk.  I'm able to set as a flexible component in the case when the flexibility of the part was done by dimensions (ModelItemType.ITEM_DIMENSION).    Part of my code:  AssemblyItemInstructions ThisAsmInstr = wfcComponentFeat.AssemblyItemInstructions_Create(ItemOwner,ModelItemType.ITEM_DIMENSION, dim_id_array.get(i));   Question is: what is the proper syntax of ModelItemType argument, to get parameter?? Dear community, in CREO 4 inside the model tree definition (Model Tree Columns) I found a type called "Debug". Beside others I can show "Trail Name" and "node_id" for each feature in the model tree.                             Does anybody know where those parameters are stored? I was not able to access them on a feature or model level. I'm trying to easily change the line color for FOMR and HOLE(EXTRUDE) using a combination of toolkit and mapkey.As shown in the video, after collecting the form shape, the intended operation was attempted by changing the line color.(view in My Videos) However, an unexpected result appeared.If HOLE(EXTRUDE) occurs before the FORM shape, the HOLE(EXTRUDE) color is not changed.   How to make the function work smoothly...When modeling in Creo, is it best to design the FORM first and then use HOLE(EXTRUDE)? I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.2.0Hi,I want to implement a Creo Parametric Toolkit application which loads a Html page into a chromium embedded framework(cef) browser, upon loading this Html page which in turn loads a set of javascript functions. When the page is loaded fully, I will have to invoke a javascript function to provide some input for example name and path of the active model in Creo Parametric Session. I am looking for inputs on how I can create this kind of application using cef and the Creo Parametric Toolkit. Can I use something like Cef Client in C++, CEFSharp or JCEF along with Creo Parametric toolkit APIs? Hello Community,   I am a fairly new user to Creo parametric and its application interface. I am trying to code a new menu tab inside of creo parametric 7.0. I would like to connect an external application to this menu tab so that information from the mentioned external application is accesible within creo parametric 7.0 via this menu tab.    I have been looking for solutions and searching around in the forums and documentation websites and i came across stuffs like Jlink, PTC toolkit java and C++ and some other similar stuffs but i have little idea about how they work as i have limited knowledge in coding and IT stuffs. Hence i have been spinning around in circles for the past few weeks.   I would be really grateful if someone can give me some hints or at least point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.0.0I'm using the Creo Parametric TOOLKIT to create Creo Simulate Geometry. My model has 2 overlapping parts that I want to get the non-manifold representation for. However in one area of the model, the geometry from the overlapping faces is not imprinted onto each face. Instead the imprint geometry is represented as individual ProMechEdges that are associated with the correct ProMechSurface but not used by any ProMechContour on that surface. Other areas of my model produce the correct non-manifold representation. What causes the ProMechModel to create wires edges instead of imprinting the edges into the face?Thank you.

I am working with the java object toolkit API for Creo 7 and I am running into this issue where when I attempt to regenerate an assembly it fails and throws XToolkitGeneralError. I can regenerate the same model that throws this error using Creo so I do not believe it to be an issue with the Creo model. I am wondering why it is throwing that exception. Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M140I am trying to read and apply parameters on an annotation, specifically a driven dimension in a 3d model (PRO_DIMENSION or pfcITEM_DIMENSION). When I create a parameter on the modelitem, the parameter gets applied to the .prt that owns the dimension. How do I set a parameter on the actual dimension? What modelitem associated with the dimension owns the parameters? I can access these parameters manually by selecting parameters in the right click menu of the dimension so there must be a way of doing this programmatically.

Hi,   We try to program the way the sheet metal cut dimensions are calculated.This method does not use the Y-factor.We have an Excel table for elongation length per bend (Ex. 2.5mm/bend) by material and thickness. The user calculates the dimensions of the wall, flat, and flange of the sheet metal model as shown.In this case, it would be 90x40.Then, after checking the elongation length from the thickness of each material, it is multiplied by the number of bendings.(2.5 * 1 bends in this case)Subtracts the result from the corresponding size.The cut dimensions are then calculated as 87.5x40.   In this process, the number of bends through the axis could be calculated.However, there is a problem in getting the size of each wall and flat/flange.   After checking the flat/flange through Feature Visit, visit DIMENSION.In the case of a wall, the width, length, and thickness are obtained.In the case of flat/flange, it is difficult to check which is the horizontal and vertical dim

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M140How do I differentiate between a dimension that gets created when geometry is modeled and one that is placed as an annotation in 3d model. I am collecting dimensions with pfcModelItemOwner->ListItems(pfcModelItemType::pfcITEM_DIMENSION). My goal is to collect all dimensions, find the ones that have been created as an annotation and then see if any have been removed from a combined state.

Hello,   I am new to Creo parametric. As of now, everytime I open a new Creo Parametric session, I have to explicitly register my standalone jlink application through Auxiliary Applications option under Tools menu. Is there a way to permanently register my application on Creo parametric so that I don't have to do that for every new creo session?   Thanks, Apoorva

When trying to replace components in an Assembly using the API, if running ExecuteFeatureOps() is deprecated, what is the new method of replacing components? The example projects only show using ExecuteFeatureOps().
