I am trying to create a post for a machine that requires all H#'s to be H1 and all D#'s to be D02. The way I do this now is to put the 1 for the H# in the Tool Offset in the Tools Setup. And for the D02 I put it in the Cutcom Register for each sequence. This becomes a problem when I want to change the job to another machine. I have to go through each tool and each sequence which is very time consuming.I can get the D#'s to work by unchecking the box in Gpost where it says "Output the tool number as the diameter offset when not specified." This outputs all of the D#'s as D0 and then I use a fil command to change it to D02.$$ Replace D0 with D02T4 = TEXT/'D0'T5 = TEXT/'D02'REPLAC/T4,T5There is a similar check box in the Tool Change Sequence tab in Gpost but instead of outputting the H0 it does not output the G43H# line at all. Is there a way I can get the G43H# line to output with this unchecked? Or is there a way to write a REPLAC command where I can replace a range of numbers (H1 thru

Is there a way to stop automatic regeneration in a manufacturing file? Everytime I change a toolpath, even if its just a drill depth or something minor, Creo wants to regenerate the entire file. I am building a die model in the Mold application.I need to bring in some location data from this job built in another CAD system.It appears that there is no way of bringing in IGES information as there is in a typical part model. Hi all,We have over the years had random problems with some tools, and now it is specifically the Taper mill tool. When defining the tool setup parameters the tool window is not showing the correct look of the tool, as would be expected by the values put in. Please seecorrect and wrong picture attached.When the tool window displays the tool in a wrong way, the resulting tool path programme will be wrong as well ! So it is not just a display issue.We're not sure what is causing this but it is also related to which build of Pro/E we use. When we recently upgraded fromWF5 M160 to M180 (due to supported version needed forPDMLink)theseproblems enhanced and the NC engineers were really annoyed.As this happens randomly, on differentCAD objects I'm not sure how tofind the source of the problem.If you restart Pro/E or clear the memory and open up the CAD object again it can work, but might also fail and you have to try anderase/reopen it all once again.We are still on WF5 (Creo Element/Pro M180

In my assembly I have a transparent component. (Its acctually a Workpiece in manufacturing.) The problem is that when I create a drawing with this assembly I can see thru this part. I can't see the hidden lines in this part, but I can see all of the lines in the fixture behind it. I would like to have this component display on the drawing as if it was solid. Has anyone else encounter this? HI eveveryone ive got to machine some tapered grooves/scallops around a tapered handle. The grooves have an axis ,was hoping to just come down vertically with my cutter following the axis which is at 5 degrees. Do I use trajectory milling ? Is there a way to have Creo automatically order regions for the shortest path? When creating a large amount of hole features it works great. But for milling sequences I don't believe there is that option. I have been look for few hours for information on how to draw a plastic gear such as the one in the picture attached.It is not the involute gear. Instead it is a basic teeth gear that is used in many household products.I really cannot find any information on the Internet. I am looking for information on drawing the base circle, calculating teeth and diameter, teeth size etc.The gear will be cut using a laser cutter. Hello all, I am using Creo 2.0 and I have a job that requires drilling around the perimeter on a horizontal machine, I would like to set my coordinate system at the center of rotation, and use a single coordinate system rather than a unique one for every hole position, is this possible? When trying to create a roughing sequence the toolpath goes outside of the mill window. I need to control this because I have side clamps on my part. I have the mill window set to keep tool inside of the window. When I use the same mill window and use Volume Rough it works fine. I have a job that needs to get done on a CNC router bed. The owner says that the DXF file needs to be all polylines. That is so 1980's!   DXF exports have been using lines, arcs, and ellipses since Autocad 13. Why am I being told that Enroute requires polylines? Is it just the owner seeing jaggies on the screen and calling foul? Should the tool offsets recognize the ellipses and properly interpolate them?   I really don't want to go through the effort of trying to make polylines out of every form that I need processed.   Alternatively, is there a DXF converter that will make polylines out of every entity in the file?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have a roughing sequence with a sketched window.750 diameter high feed mill pictured below.It works great. I then do a rerough to tighten up the corners with a solid carbide .375 high feed end mill and it drops into the core holes. I don't want it to drop into the core holes but I don't see a way to exclude surfaces in the re - rough routine. with regular volume roughing with a mill window. you can exclude surfaces? am I missing an exclude command somewhere or did that get left out of the rerough.anyone have any ideas?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. It would be nice to be able to exclude surfaces from the mill window roughing and reroughing seqences. this is available with mill volumes and some types of mill windows but not with the rough and re rough seqences. The situation I have is I rough a part with several holes and protrusions using a mill window and a large diameter cutter. the holes are smaller diameter than the roughing cutter so the roughing cutter never drops in the holes. When reroughing the same Part to tighten corners (remove more stock in the corners) with a smaller diameter tool. that tool will drop into the holes which is not desired and there is no way top stop this from happening that I can see.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Using Wildfire 5 and PDMLink 10.1.Got an e-mail from our Windchill admins with this message "Windchill reporting has identified you with over 15 PDMLink Workspace Frames, this may have negative performance impact on the ... Windchill System".My understanding is that PDMLink frames don't interact with the server at all. They are a feature available in the client side workspace (and is unique to Pro/Engineer?).
