Hi everyone, I started Mathcad with Prime without knowing the all extra functionalities Mathcad 15 has. Please see the following screenshot. If I copy and paste Mathcad 15 lines and paste into the Word, result is perfect, everything is clear and it seems like vector image since I can resize it. If I copy and paste Prime lines, it is awful. I cannot put that in my report like that. Same result with rtf export. PDF export is better, but I have to include those in my report. So, I know this comment is made thousand times in this forum, but how PTC can think removing too many functionalities and features is a good idea? I mean almost everybody uses Mathcad to supplement reports. I would like to hear your user experience too. Do you only attach your report as PDF? Is there anyway to get the calculations to Word from Mathcad? (I know the answer, no.)  

I am using Mathcad Prime 7.0 7.0.0.0Legacy convert tool fails with error indicating that MathCAD 15 must be installed, yet website says installation of M15 is no longer required. What's New page for M7 says "PTC Mathcad Prime 7 provides a standalone legacy worksheet converter that you can install alongside the application. You no longer need a separate installation of the legacy Mathcad application to use the conversion process."Here are the errors that I faced - conversion window shows failed for all older version files v14/15. Somewhere, something is not correct.

Good morning,I have 2 questions.Last July 14th, I downloaded and installed Mathcad Express with a 30-day trial license, but today it no longer works and seems to have expired after only a week. Is there any workaround to continue with this 30 day trial version (I have downloaded a new license file, but everything remains the same).On the other hand, I am a professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona - Spain), and I wonder about the limitations that the student version may have, compared to the full version.Thank you very much.

How can I switch the software language?

I've been asked to complete the Mathcad tutorial for a class, but when I open the tutorial and try to download the zip file, it reads Page Not FoundThe page you were trying to access does not exist. The page you were requesting: /tutorials_en/tutorials/gst/data_files.zipI was wondering if there is somewhere I could access this file so that I can complete the tutorial since it's assigned.

I have done some job with mathcad prime 7.0. However, according to my professor's requirement, we can only use mathcad prime 3.0 when we submit our paper. But mathcad prime 3.0 can not open any file that created by mathcad prime 7.0. Is there any method to solve this problem? Thanks.

To all   Not really a Mathcad specific question but a “fundamental “ math question. I know that some of the regular contributors to this forum have the expertise.   I am comparing 2 vectors {v1} and {v2} of length N using the formula      [{v1}T*{v2}]^2 / [{v1}T{v1}*{v2}T{v2}]  where T = Transpose   I did a check using 2 very simple vectors of length 11 so that for x = [0,1..10] V1 = x^2 and v2 = 10*x Using the formula I get 0.938 thus suggesting that these 2 vectors are very similar. But clearly they are not! Has anyone got “insight” on this? It’s quite common to use this formula in some engineering field and setting-up a threshold of > 0.9 as acceptable to assume that the vectors are similar. in this case this is telling me that a stragith line is almost as good as a parabola.   Thanks Regards   a link: here

I have made a worksheet to mimic a calculation I did in Excel. It takes a list of data and uses it as a variable input, and returns a list of solutions based on the sequential input value. How do I make these values display in a summary table? I used what I think are matrices or arrays to do this. Worksheet is attached.

to all   I am trying to compare set of data and I imported it as a csv. file. Essentially a "matrix" of Nrow =300,000 by 60 columns. The data represents combined (aggregated) csv files (300000x4) Mathcad 15 is struggling and I got an 'out of memory error' Short of using a different software any advice on manipulating large matrices in mathcad 15? I am going to do a test using the 4th column of data from each file   Regards  

I do not know what I am missing but the solve block in Mathcad Prime is not giving me the answers I am looking for. Can someone please help. Worksheet is attached

Hi, I've been asked to convert a mathcad sheet for my work (why most of the attached worksheets are collapsed and locked, sorry, although everything that is relevant shouldn't be) and I'm having difficulty with a particular line which then leads into an xy plot. The xy plot is saying that there are too many range variables in prime 7, however it works in version 15.                             I'm unsure if what I think is the reason for the error is correct (as it does apply to both the x and y axis functions and so maybe would cancel itself out) although to me it seems the most likely:   The error is that in mathcad 15, it seems to serialise all of AzD and Vr for q=0 first, then q=1, etc. However prime 7 for some reason is serialising each of the 5X1 matrices instead, and I can't figure out how to make it act like mathad 15 instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Ps there is a differen

Hello,   I have been trying to work out how to change the units from Joules to MegaJoules/Giga Joules in the question below. When I change this it has "The variable is undefined, check the label set correctly"   So the answer should be 279 MJ/hr     Is this a matter of changing something in the settings or assigning this vaue?   I have seen other problems with MJ and GJ so know it can be done.   Thanks

Hi, I've recently been tasked with updating some Mathcad sheets from version 15 to Prime 7 and have noticed something that has confused me. (Unfortunately as they aren't my sheets and I'm only upgrading them I don't have full permission to upload the mathcad files but I can send some screenshots, but anyways)   Using the following equation, on dropping the subscript [ j, jw after the α, they both give the same identical matrix.   However, when reintroducing the [ j, jw subscript (sorry I don't know the proper term, again I'm just converting the files - the maths itself is beyond me), the output in Mathcad 15 is different from Prime 7. In Prime 7, it creates a vector starting from the first row of α, and then from the second and then third row etc.    However, for 15, it creates a vector starting from the first column of α, and then the second and the third etc.   Is this something that was changed in the update that I'm not aware of

I am having trouble getting the 30-day license to activate. Every time I try to load the get license part of the wizard it fails and tells me to check the website which didn't help. If you could help me get the license activated that would be great. Thank you for your time.
