Mathcad

I want to type in a formular in MathCAD just for demonstration, i don't want MathCAD to run or calculate it.   For example following equetions: it throw me error that variable is not defined.  

Is it possible to draw in Mathcad 15 more than 16 curves? (a propos - how many curves we can have in Prime?) See please my construction with 16 closed curves  

Dear friends, I need a bit of help. I have a set of values "PFscan.csv". It contains 70 columns x 1800 rows. This values represent z, and should be connected with r and t data, acting as a x and y. To create a x,y,z set with same dimensions I've made a matrices M1 and M2 from r and t, both containing 70 columns x 1800 rows. The goal is to combine this three sets into one matrix, which will consecutively contain (x,y,z)i. Hence matrix M3. So the questions are: How can I export this as .csv or .txt while being able to maintain order; x1,y1,z1, x2,y2,z2, etc.? How can I plot multiple datasets into one 3D graph by using for loop? And to convert this large x,y,z set to polar plot? Thanks!

Let's say I have two columns in an Excel document containing variable names (column A) and their associated values (column B). Is it possible to import these into MathCAD without having to type out each variable name? I've tried to finagle the excel component to do what I want but it seems no matter what I try I end up having to type the variables out by hand. This gets cumbersome because I tend to work with a lot of variables that I'd love to have auto imported.

Hi All,   i have a function which can not plot, Qcx(x), ask me to replace complex values by real numbers.   If I delete last part in the bracket, it will pot Qcx2(x) correctly.   I attached my mathCAD file.   Thanks.

Hi,           I am trying to do solve a pde using method of characteristics. I am able to solve it. But I am not sure how to plot characteristic lines which are parallel in a certain z range. Also, characteristics should not cross the boundaries associated with constant flux (discontinuities). Kindly check plot 4 in the attached mathcad file and I want it to look like the pic pasted below it. Here z(t), z1(t) and zc(t) are the boundaries and z2(t), z3(t) and z4(t) are the characteristics. I think it may need some programming. Really appreciate the help.   Regards.

We have a network installation of MathCAD 14 that is installed on my computer. I am trying to locate the server name that the license manager is located on. Is there a way to look for that within MathCAD?

please check attached mathcad file, if you see each column are slightly shifting (some constant amount of shift) but to sync. all those columns ?

hi all,  my sheet does some calculations and plot the results.  when i reopen the sheet the next day, it has to recalculate everything.  how do i set up the sheet to "save" the previous calculation results?   cheers, blake

Hello. Before anything, I got to say that I searched the whole forum for similar questions (which existed), and tried to apply them to my case, but none worked!   I attached files (one is Mathcad15 and the other is Prime 5 file format) with system of equations that I need to solve symbolically, and then attribute this solution to a function.   The system of equations has x's, a's, z's and a y variable.  The goal is to define y as a function of x's and a's, but no z's.   I failed to do it multiple times: sometimes Mathcad just crashs, other times it just says some variables are not defined...   Could someone please help me? This is the first thing I'm ever trying to do using Mathcad!   Thank you very much!

Hello everyone, I have determined 12 points individually (2D). I want to plot a closed curve between these nodes and I want to have many nodes on this pattern?   I drew an example sketch and uploaded as adding.   Apart from this, I have serious lack of education on MathCad. I need a library that I can follow each sections. I  got sick of searching everything in Google. Could you suggest me a platform?

Hi folks,   the only reason I'm putting up with prime is that I do have a large data set and MC15 can't handle that many dots. In prime I noticed that once I've changed the trace colour, it became "uneditable"; i.e. I can't change neither colour nor line thickness anymore. Is it just me or a prime bug? and - does anybody know a workaround?   Raiko

Hi All,   Our company's default font is Arial Narrow.   1. First, there is no Arial Narrow font available in MathCAD. 2. Is there a way to install Arial Narrow font in MathCAD (for both math and text).   Can someone please advise a way to work around this? Thanks in advance.   Regards,   LS

is there any inbuilt function to synchronize all the array so that i will get something like (given picture"file name: output.png")?

I want to do a custom function that receives a file name, and reads a matrix of symbolics, and return this symbolic matrix do Mathcad.  For example, my file may contain the following 3x3 matrix:   a                        b+c8           k/e3 0                        5+f4            0 (6*a)/(b+c)        0                 1   numbers are numbers, symbols are k, a, e3, c8, etc.   Anyone knows how to do it?

Hello guys, I am stuck for two days about an issue. I have to create a solution matrix for the following two trigonometric functions. m*cos(a)+n*cos(b)=x m*sin(a)+n*sin(b)=y   0<a<180 , 0<b<180 m,n,x,y are constants. a,b are unidentified. How can I solve x,y as matrix solution?   I will trigger x,y values with FRAME, so at each X.i, Y.i values I have to calculate a,b degrees and draw lines. I am using MathCAD 15.I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in Advance!

Hello guys,   I had to use prime 5.0 today since I have a large data set to display. The chart tool is, apart from being slow and unyieldy, is usable. However, does anybody know whether it is possible to have a value that has been calculated in the worksheet automatically fill in the legend tab in the chart tool. I'd rather not have to fill it in manually as reaction times of said tool are unbelievable.   Raiko
