Hi. My name is RomanWelcome everyone in the new year. I put the sheet into the structure of the stairs. It can be supplemented or improved for sure. Sometimes I used the good work of the participants of this forum and somebody will find some fragments of their work in this sheet. That is why I leave my work for everyone's use. Have fun. 

Hi,I have an image in a Mathcad Prime 7.0 worksheet and I am trying to copy and paste it to another Prime 7.0 Worksheet. When I attempt to copy and paste from one worksheet to another, it says "Browse for Image". Even when trying to copy an image and paste it into the same worksheet it says "Browse for Image". If I create a text box region first, I am able to paste the image into it, but the behavior of the image is now limited by the text box (cropping and scaling issues). Am I missing something here?

How to take out some part of the number defined through evaluation definition and use it further for calculation.For e.g. I have set of 3 number clubbed and 24 such sets separated by comma and space and would like to use 7 set for calculation purpose later in worksheet. Is there any possible solution for this 

I am trying to make a plot of the dependent variable digital data (zeros and ones) in a column of a matrix vs another column (independent variable - x axis) that has units of degrees.  If I add volts units to the dependent variable it plots fine but as soon as I eliminate the units then the error "The values in the axes placeholders must be real numbers or expressions. Make sure the values are of the same type in both placeholders" is returned.The plot with the errors has the Y variable as a column of the matrix that is unitless.  The one that works has been fudged by adding units to that column. 

I am a novice Mathcad Prime 6.0 user and want to purchase a suitable hardcopy [print] user’s manual to expedite my learning curve with this software. The closest match my online search has produced thus far is a 2013 Academic Press publication titled Essential PTC® Mathcad Prime® 3.0: A Guide for New and Current Users, by Brent Maxfield. It appears that no such version exists for Prime 6.0. Are there enough similarities between the Prime 3.0 and 6.0 codes to justify buying the aforementioned book? 

How to determine the directory to which the program is written so that I can read from that directory explicitly

Hi guys I have 2 sets of data kz.b and kc and the refence variable z.b currently i can interpolation to find what kc is when z.b is equal to a value hence the below; however there a various values of Kcphi which i may need to interpolate between such as if kcphi was 6 i would then need to interpolate the value between kcphi5 and kcphi10 to then return the value and interpolate z.b to return the vlaue i am after. i was wondering if there is a function that could be written to help with this Thanks 🙂

Hi guys I have developed at mathcad worksheet that wish to publish to clients, the client has Mathcad licences and therefore can access sheets or templated provided.  Is there a mechanism to allow me to provide controlled access to my sheets/templates ? I believe there are two options 1 - REST API - access external data source to validate user credentials 2 - Build worksheet template for HTML and provide control with access via the webpage  If anyone has any experience with this please let me know thanks 🙂

Hi all, I want to solve the following 2 equations for all v values: Since there are 2 unkowns (Fo(v) and Fc(v)) and two equations, I want to obtain the Fo(v) and Fc(v) formulae since that should be possible. I tried to find this formulae using the 'Find' function in mathcad prime:However, that didn't work. Attached you can find the worksheet. Really appreciate your help in advance!

I just purchased and licensed Mathcad Prime 7.0.0 and want to check that it correctly converts the XCMD files we create with Mathcad 15.  The PTC 'Migration Guide' says: "To start the XMCD, MCD Converter ... click 'XMCD, MCD Converter".  When I do this, it says to install XMCD, MCD Converter  using 'setup'.  It also says "Alternatively, you can start it from the Start menu". But, I can't find either .'setup' or the Start menu.  Please advise.  

Hi community , Once again I call on you .my problem:I have a mechanism with a non-linear movementin input, I have a linear displacement, and in output I have an angular displacementthis displacement follows a behavior curve I want to drive the input with a motor, so here is my problem.I want to find a max speed value of motor to reach a given angular position. But also that time is linear that is to say, if I want to go from 0 degrees to 60 degrees (for example) what will be my lowest linear displacement time (constant speed value at output), and what will be my motor control curve the solution I found is cut the curve with linear parts,but I don't really like it because it's DIYI don't see the way to get there, maybe with the derivative If someone has an idea   

Hi, I'm trying to build a program so that when I choose a variable to present a set of calculations but when I choose another variable to see in the mathcad spreadsheet another set of calculations. I hope I have solved this old interesting problem - One catenary problemSee please pictures and attach (15 and Prime).But at G=0 and x.0=1 m I have not one chain - is it an error of Math model or of a numerical method of 9 equations solution?At x.0=40 m and others not at two fix points all is OKWerner! Greetings, Here is something I enjoyed working on. I couldn't find the answer online, so I had to figure it out myself. The challenge was to divide a square into 7 equal parts. Each part had to be as compact as possible (minimum perimeter to area ratio), so I knew that the trivial solution of dividing it into 7 long, thin strips would not work. After drawing several iterations, I came up with this model. A hexagon is centered in the square, rotated at 45 degrees so that two of its vertices align with the diagonal.  Each shape has an area of 7, in this 7 x 7 square.  If this was a tile fastened to a surface, then the fasteners would be placed at the centroids (stars) to prevent uplift in the most efficient way, supposing that they want to use 7 fasteners and not any other number. Fastener patterns with other numbers are easier to figure out. The next-hardest one was with 5 fasteners, but that's just a simple square in the middle instead of a hexagon.

Hi everyone,I have an equation that I would like to let Mathcad simplify for me.  It looks like this:ok 🙂 I know I could simplify it myself, but please consider this an example! If I select the left side and then Symbolics > Simplify I obtain the highly unsatisfying result:what I would like is that pi remains expressed as pi! I have tried, remembering another thread, the "symbolic undefine" pi:=pi (above the equation) but apparently it does not work! Am I asking Mathcad 15 too much?   thanks for any suggestion! Best regards, Claudio PS: no, I do not use Prime 😉PS2: the equation is derived with some manipulation from ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, and is related to the allowable stress in a pipe product, under known inner pressure and external moments, at design condition.

Hi, I need to solve this equation. I tried the solve function to solve it, but it does not work. I managed to solve it with wolfram,  please see the pictures below. Is there a way I can solve this?  

As per this thread , same issue. Hello Luc,   Many thanks for developing the LODEsolve function.   In the explanation is stated: " You cannot specify an initial condition for a value of the independent parameter other than 0. See examples on how to deal with that situation".   I have a curved beam with three boundary conditions at each end of the beam (theta = 0 and theta = phi). The beam is described by three second order differential equations. In can't find an example'that deals with this situation. Is it possible to have multiple boundary conditions at different independent parameters? If yes, can you explain how to handle this situation?   Kind regards,   Ton    

I have converted numerous MathCAD 15 programs over to Prime. In doing so I am having issues with the 'Include' look-up not reading/working properly. About half the time the source/path works just fine, but on the others I get a warning - "PTC MathCAD is using the CWD, Approximate Equality, Strict Singularity Check of the current worksheet, not the CWD, Approximate Equality, Strict Singularity Check settings from the 'Source Worksheet'" It also tells me there are calculation errors in the Source Worksheet when there are none. Please advise
