Hi. I have the problem presented in the attachement. I need to replace the value of the determinant of the second expression with B, to make it simpler. I've tried with "explicit, B" but it doesen't work. How do i do that? Thank you

Hello AllI am new to Mathcad and I am currently trying to use function solve blocks but i am getting an error that says initial guesses must consist of numbers and matrices. I am not able to figure out where I am going wrong and how to rectify it.I have enclosed my worksheet

Hi,When I check into Mathcad help, in the controls section, I can read this: “When you open a worksheet, Mathcad re-initializes all of the controls contained within the file. As a result, Mathcad may reset certain controls - typically, list boxes - and thus not preserve their saved state.” I wanted to know if it is possible that a control (list box or check box) would not be re-initialized each time a worksheet is opened. I would like to have the state of the control saved. Is there a script line who could do that?Thanks a lot!

Is it possible to include parameter constraints when using genfit? If so, how is it implemented?I need to fit a non-linear equation (Richards function) and genfit crashes with the current setting. I supply all the derivative functions with respect to the parameters.Any insight is greatly appreciated.Ulrich Hopfer

MathCAD 15, can't do 3-D plotting - gets a pop up which is a dead window. The widgett opens blank, hesitates, then opens.

Hi folks wondering if you can help me? I am using mathcad to solve polynomial equation. I have attempted the question and wanted to see if the question is correct and I am doing what is asked of me. I have to solve it in two different ways other than graphical. I have tried to solve it this way first. Basically h(x)=6 to four decimal places. The answer is in the uploaded file. Would be grateful for some insight.b) Using MathCad solve the polynomial h(x) = 6 using at least two different methods other than graphical, giving your answers to 4 decimal places........ h(x)=x4-x3-19x​2-11x+30

Does anybody know if there is is simple way how to assign mathcad result from matrix to excel specified cell. I got formated excel table which I want to fill in certain cells with results. I enclosed the simplified file where is easy to understand which result should go to which cell. Any tip is really appreaciatted. Thanks for help. David

Hi. Let's say that I have a 4x4 matrix and i need to select the terms that are optained by crossing out the first column and the second row. I tried with submatrix function but i could not cross out the second row(my matrix is 4x3 and i want it to be 3x3). How do i do it correctly? I'm completly new to MathCad so be patient with me. Does anyone know how to convert an audio file, like a wav or mp3 file, to a data file, like a prn file of voltage vs. time, that can be read by Mathcad? And then after manipulations in Mathcad converted back to an audio file? Or an audio file to a csv file?

Why when on the default Overview tab does it not show all content?I have missed many threads because of this and cannot understand why. Is anyone else having this issue?

I'm just getting back into Mathcad with Prime 3 after being aout of it for several years. I'm seeing that in versions 14 & 15 that there was the option to use controls such as radio buttons and list boxes. Is this available in Prime 3? I've been searching all over the program for it but am not seeing it.

I often use animations (essentially a For loop on the built in variable FRAME) to generate multi-pont analyses, including screen snapshots as an AVI..One issue is that when the analysis takes a very long time, with a need to save the avi at the end, and to take care that data files are not overwritten when the loop finishes (usually with a fresh auto-calc back at FRAME 0).Has anyone managed to automatically detect the completion of the animation recording, so that the AVI can be saved using some separate piece of automation?Also has anyone, in a similar manner, managed to automate the backup of data files generated during the animation recording.Some of my data generations take 5 - 8 hrs and are almost the 1000 FRAME (current) limit, so if anything goes wrong its a whole day wasted.Philip

I want to draw 3 expressions in one 3D plot, and the ranges of x,y is 1~5. When I draw it in MC15M030, only one plot setting item appeared! And when I use the same function in MC2001i, it work well!See the picture below:It seems a bug in Mathcad 15 M030, is it?

Hello all, I am pretty new to Mathcad and still in learning stage. I have two seperate mathcad files created by different people. I need to cross refer variables from one file to another. I tried to use "Reference" option available under Insert. But since the files where created by different people, there are few common variable names in these two files so they are overwritten. Is there an option in Mathcad where we can send and receive just few variables from other mathcad file?? Thanks in advanceDeepak

Hi everybody,I would like to keep the mathematical language set to "English" but the Help and the user interface to "German". This happens because I work in a German-speaking environment and as a non-German mothertongue, I appreciate the possibility to learn (and copy) the appropriate German words.Now the problem is: say for example that I am looking for a function for putting arrays one under the other. I go to the help and find out under "Vektoren und Matrizen", that the function name is "stapeln". But of course if I type it, I get an error. There is no way known to me, to learn that "stapeln" as function name is called "stack" in the English "mathematical language". Please note: this is an example! I do know .So: Is there some conversion table for function names somewhere in Help? or is there some way I can search for "stapeln" and find out "stack"?thanks a lotbest regardsClaudio
