I am working on a multi-axle steering mechanism. Problem with Creo 2.0 BMX (Feasibility / Optimisation) is it does not converge. A convergence solution we found in Matlab SimMechanics worked but again the geometry is lot simple.I wish if ptc people can solve it using Creo/MathCAD Prime.I will share complete problem with CAD model in Creo 2.0 if interest is shown here.

I am stuck on something very simple and hopefully there is an easy answer. I need to round all of the values in a matrix to the nearest integer. I have provided a quick worksheet to work with as an example. I have scaned through all of the functions for vectors and matricies and do not see anything helpful. I am using mathcad prime 3.0.

Hello,I'm wondering if C# will be implemented so that any custom functions we write in C#, we would be able to implement into the MathCad Worksheet. Is this a possibility for the future, or will C++ and C be the primary custom coding language functions?I realize that C# and C++ are quite close in nature, but there are some differences.

Hello,when i print a sheet that has list combo boxes, some times the items in the box show up when i print the sheet, and some times they dont as shown in the attached sheet. How can i make it to always show the items in the list combo box when i print the sheet? Thanks!

Hi allI'm trying to make a small computation program that would split a thicker layers into thinner ones and would put the split layers into one column.In the attached computation sheet I have demonstrated what I would like to find first for a one layer system, then for a 2 layer system, butthe problem is that I haven't been able to make it work for n -layered system.Thanks for your advices.

Hi a friend's just asked how you find ANY point inside a printed shape without testing mountains of points.I suggested the simplex method with a dummy objective function but all the trivial examples I've seen consist of (in themselves) unconstrained straight lines that interfere only at suitably appropriate points .e.g to form a nice convenient triangle.I've attached a diagram of the "feasible" region and as you can see if you continued some of the implied lines forming the edges you'd slice the region to shreds.My question is how would you represent the truncations of the lines in your system of inequalities.BTW Assume you're talking to a layman...'cos you ARE! <smile>.Thank you in anticipation for any forthcoming help.Dean

Last week, I got an e-mail from PTC Technical Support: there is a "PTC Mathcad Worksheet Collection" Software Update available for Mathcad Prime 3.0 F000.When I clicked on the link, it takes me to the PTC Software Downloads area, but I don't see the Worksheet Collection anywhere. (I do see the Mathcad setup files, but the e-mail suggests the Worksheet Collection is a separate download.)Looking for someone that got (or sent) the e-mail, knows about the Mathcad Prime 3 Worksheet Collection, and knows where to download it.--Andrew

As a scientist who started with a slide rule, graduated to an HP calculator with RPN, and entered the world of computer math with Mathcad 3 way back when, I consider myself a master of obsolete software. I now serve Russian students as a MOOC group leader/advocate.  There's no money in this because MOOCs are free. I favor the edX Moocs, but sample the complete spectrum.For the physical sciences it is obvious that high school students wanting to do college work will have to make a quick shift to a computer based math program like Mathcad and give up the hand-held graphing calculator.  But it's still required for the SATs and AP tests.  Furthermore, the MOOCs don't make selection of a computer math program easy.  Statisticians push R, MIT favors Python, others favor MATLAB.  No one seems to be pushing Mathcad.PTC needs to get Mathcad Express into the high schools.  We also need to know how Mathcad fits in with robotics languages and 3-D printing.  This

Hello,I am using M14, M020. Yesterday I run into a strange problem.I opened a file which had previously been fine, and received an error: "Warning: an unrecoverable read error has occurred. 3 regions could not be read from this document.” I clicked ok, and it popped up again and again with different number of regions until finally it opened. I asked a coworker to try opening the file. They did with no problem (same version of mathcad). They saved a copy of the file and I tried opening that, same errors.I tried opening some other files which I knew were fine and got the same error on a few sheets. I then closed everything and restarted my computer. I tried opening those files again and it worked with no errors. Everything is fine right? No, this is where it gets interesting.I tried opening another file which had previously opened with no problems when I was testing a number of sheets. Now, this one file (and only this file from what I can tell) gives me the same errors. I sent the file

I was working on a problem in another discussion and I noticed something strange about pdesolve: it appears to assume a boundary condition.The figure below shows the same equation for a fixed bed reactor solved with two sets of boundary conditions. Because the equation is second order in x, there should be two b.c. on x. The solution on the right for c2 only has one, yet the results are nearly identical to the c solution on the left.If I change the outlet derivative b.c. for the c system, the results do change. This implies that the second boundary condition is active if supplied.Also, I have changed the systems so that the first b.c. for both is merely the concentration at x=0. Both systems get solutions that are nearly identical again.Can anyone confirm my deduction that pdesolve is assuming a missing b.c.?

It doesn't normally require that. It opens with everything calculated typically. I was able to open a previous version of the document that was from 4 days ago, but I have lost 2 pages of calculations unless I am able to recover the lost pages somehow. I saved the document and it shows to have saved yesterday right before I shut my computer down for the night. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Is there a solution?

Hello, in the attached sheet, please scroll down the the blue arrow. when i key in the values insdie the matrix, it draws the sketch and does the calculation. Howerver when i have some of these values inside matrix calculated to save myself from inputing them, i get an error message. Not sure why. Thanks!

I have just brought a user defined function 'vec' into Prime which takes a single argument and converts to a vector i.e. a range variable. However, I am having an issue typing a range inside pre-definedbrackets.In Prime this does not seem achievable.I must be missing something here!!!
