Mathcad Installation

When installing 14.0 I get a message saying this is an upgrade and to enter the old serial number. I had 7.0 and the s/n was PU02802D00549 which it does not accept. I still have the 7.0 CD, I put it in the DVD drive and provided the path but it can't read it. I had this same problem in 2017 and it was a ridiculous pain in the butt then, I shouldn't still be going through this aggravation. Fix it already sheesh.

I use the student version of PTC prime 9.0 on my office computer (windows). Primarily I remote in from my Macbook, but periodically I receive the issue:Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a Windows Terminal Services guest session. Is there a way to solve this issue remotely? As a student I don't have support phone service

When i want to register and have free mathcad trial there is written that can reached maximum number of licens. I have this program on my PC and i wanted the same program on my laptop. Why cant i have same program on other device?

I am a longtime mathcad user who purchased a permanent license for Mathcad prime 3.1 many years ago.I am in the midst of replacing my old win 10 computer, with a new one running win 11.  Before I begin the task of reinstalling mathcad 3.1 and getting the licensing software to work, I am wondering if version 3.1 will run under win 11.?As a retired person, I cannot justify the cost of getting the latest version of Mathcad, so if my version won’t work, I’ll just install the express version. thanks mike

Hello, some time ago I downloaded a test version of Mathcad Prime 7.0, which then after 30 days got downgraded to the free Express version. Since then I had to reinstall my operating system, and now would like to install Mathcad Express once again. However, when using the installation file I saved, I only have the option to install the 30-day test version of Mathcad, which I'm unable to do, because the account I use already used its 30-day trial version tied to it. Is there a way to skip this test version and instead simply install the Express version right away?

I have a new computer, and I want to move my Mathcad 14 Academic to it.However, it seems like getting a license over the internet isn't working anymore.Is there any way to get a new license file?

how can i transfer my mathcad license from one laptop to another 

I"m not well versed in IT details but if I can install MathCad on my teaching laptop somehow I would use it a lot more and teach with it since it can benefit my students. Currently we have Prime 6.0.0 on computers in a lab but that isn't convenient for me to get to. If I can understand some basic details about how or what to do or bullet points to discuss with my college IT department, it would be a blessing.  I have a 2022 Apple M2 Pro with Sonoma 14 os.

Hello, I am need of assistance with licensing for MathCAD 3.0 prime. We currently have Mathcad 3.0 installed on one computer and would like to install it on another computer. However, I am not sure if our current license allows for multiple installations with only one user/computer at a time since we only have one license of Mathcad 3.0. So I need help verifying if our license is a flexible installation license where would could use it on different computers but one user/computer at time? If not, what are my options for obtaining another license for Mathcad 3.0? (PS. I could not create a support ticket since I do not have a product code for Mathcad 3.0 prime. I looked through all of our licensing emails back in 2014, but could not find an actual "Product code")

I have this weird issue that whenever I connect my phone with my computer via usb cable, my mathcad license will dissapear and whenever I try applying it it prompts me with this error. The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...C:\Users\kleol\Desktop\sw_license_email_278734.dat: (-9) Invalid host. If I try yo share hotspot from my phone, instead of using ethernet through it with a usb cable, the license appears again and if I try to activate it it works well. Does anyone have any idea how i can fix this issue? I am also using a 30free trial license.  

Good evening,   I am having problems licensing my Mathcad 9! I am a student at a university in Austria, computer science branch, and got a product key from my teacher. I redeemed it at school, where everything still worked and I could use Mathcad 9 without any problems. But when I wanted to do my homework at home, my software was unlicensed. I tried to re-license it with my user + password + product key (the same one I used at school) and with the license file that was sent to me when I licensed myself at school. However, neither of these worked. When I want to activate my key at home with user, password, and license key I get this error (see picture in the attachment). When I am back at school and connected to the school wifi, I can select my license file and use Mathcad 9 normally.   Kind regards, Philip

I am installing Mathcad 14 from my installation DVD on a new PC. All went well except towards the end a window says, "The wizard is now contacting the PTC licensing server to obtain your license automatically. This may take a few moments." Then another window pops up saying, "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden." What do I do now?

MathCAD is not working on my computer and I bought a license. I am using Windows 10 through Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro. The program will work for 2 days and then when I try to open it, the flash screen appears but the program never opens. I would delete matched and reinstall it but I ran out of the limits to use my license each time I reinstall the program.

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0When searching for text or math in a document using the Find box and Find Next button in the status bar, collapsed areas are expanded but do not re-collapse if nothing is found. For documents with many collapsed areas this is difficult to manually re-collapse each one.1) Is there a simple way to collapse all expanded areas in a mathcad document?2) Can the find algorithm be updated to re-collapse any collapsed areas where nothing is found?My current workaround is to lock all collapsed areas, but this is not ideal either.Note: Mathcad Prime 8.0 did not have this issue, since find did not search any collapsed areas.

I am unable to start my MathCad 15. Getting the message "The application failed because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command link sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I am not a computer expert, and I believe to best fix would be to re-install my MathCad 15 app. What is your advice? How can I re-install my MathCad 15 app.

I bought and installed Mathcad 9 student version, on the day of installation everything worked fine, however today I wanted to open the program and now it opens Mathcad express, I tried to activate the license for the file again, however I get a message that says "(-9) Invalid host."Looking at some forums I tried to solve the problem by following what was indicated, however the problem was not solved.Then, checking the host, the one on my network does not match the one in the license file.How can i fix this?Thanks in advance for your response

HI, I have successfully installed the MathCAD Prime 30-day trial. However, I am unable to open a pre-existing *.mni file (Mathcad Native Interface file).Does Mathcad Express support them? Is there any way to convert them to a file format recognizable by MathCAD Prime?Thanks! Eddy
