Hi, I only have access to Creo View Express. I need line drawings, but when I try to print to pdf from HLR, the lines on the printed pdf are very weak. Any suggestions on how to improve the line weight or other parameters that would work? Thanks and best, Eva
Hello every one, sorry for a stupid question but could please anybody here give me a hint or a link to download the installation file for Unix version of Creo View Express? All I was able to find were CVE Adapters for Unix, which we were unable to run on Linux. Or does anybody know how to run CVE on Unix correctly? Thank you all!
My PVZ file was updated with replaced parts. The animation in my creo illustrate model does not recognize the new parts. The parts were replaced in the edit structure mode. How do I update the animation so that it recognizes the replaced parts?
I have a large and heavy assembly with a bunch of parts hidden in my PVZ view. I want to be able to open component parts in a new view and change colors and then propagate those changes to the window where i have my view with all the hidden components. If i isolate it in the main view with the hidden components and recolor (Trying to recolor individual surfaces, not entire part), I cannot get my view back with the hidden components easily.
Please see https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS311063.It turns out View Adapters are currently not supporting different representations for publishing Inventor assemblies and always visualize "Master Rep" only.It is even documented that way in "Creo View MCAD Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide", see the attached screenshot. Sadly that's not acceptable for our users and use-cases within Windchill. Designers expect the published assembly to look like they saved it, showing the active representation in Inventor, not always Master. It's dangerous too, because components might have to be surpressed, different color-encodings are used for certain components, etc. All is lost by blindly visualizing "Master Rep". Please consider implementing proper behaviour (like implemented for Creo) in a future release. Thanks!
I am looking to see if its possible to delete this "Root" designation in the PVZ. Highlighted in picture below.
We are upgrading to Creo 10.0.X and looking to adopt the 2018 standard, does the GD&T product support this version? If so where can I find that information. Thanks.
I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0Needing to update the schematics catalog and need someone to help walk me through the process
I've been having an intermittent issue when applying datasets to objects in Schematics. I have my own datatable for connectors and have used this datatable in the past (as recently as yesterday) to apply datasets to objects in Schematics, but yesterday when I tried to set an objects dataset, I got the error: ?msg_err@ >>>> error <<<<?msg_err@ Can not apply this dataset: at least 1 member is invalid: W501-P5!BP1 (No mapping) The object is the "Plug" variable object included in the DemoDB and I'm having the issue in both block (BID) and wiring (WID) sheets... The weirdest part is that I have successfully applied the dataset to other Plug objects on the same sheet, but now I just get this error. I've started blank sheets and sometimes the same error crops up, and sometimes it doesn't (and sometimes it will work for a little bit and then stop working...). Any ideas how to get around this?
For large assemblies, the frames of the inserts are not displayed reliably. You can see this behavior clearly in the attached picture. Both anchor points were placed at the same height. If you scale the display, both frames are visible or only the right or only the left one.Is there a workaround so that the frames are displayed reliably?
Hello all, Is there a function that can be used to align the guide lines of callouts horizontally or vertically? In the attached image, I have only aligned the lines by hand. Unfortunately, this takes longer and is very imprecise.
Hello everyone,Is it possible to add multiple arrows to a text note in Creo Illustrate? Matteo.
Hi, Is it a "feature", a bug or there's a recipe setting that I don't know of which makes inset explode lines completely different to their "normal" page view when exported?Sorry about the colour choice but it's noticeable anyway. In the page view all lines look the same (like the ones on the left in the picture). But when exported the inset lines get much thinner and densely packed. Cheers,Tom
Hello community, I have a problem with the 2D symbols. Why do the 2D symbols on a predefined 3D page change their size when I zoom the model? This should not happen because the size of a symbol usually refers to the page size and not to the model size. I currently have the problem that I would like to show a floor. Since there are no auxiliary tools (?!), I have created the floor as a 2D symbol. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to create a uniform representation of the floor because the size of the 2D floor keeps changing depending on the model zoom or the side zoom (where the model is also zoomed). This also applies to all other 2D symbols. Is this possibly due to the fact that the dpi for a 3D page cannot be preset, but is only selected when the image is exported? Does anyone have any idea how I could create a floor differently? I also have the problem that the inserted floor symbol creates a border. Why is that? To the attached picture
So i marked up a bunch of brackets in creoview. I discovered a few brackets floating in space as I forgot to bring in its supporting structure I also created groups for all my markups. I can't save the file with 2 files. I try to merge them and I lose all my notes and groups Why can't you just load as many PVZ's together and Save it as one file and keep all my markups and groups. I tried turning the groups into a shared type and was like oh cool it brought all my groups to my new PVZ... Oooh but they are all blank and didn't bring over the parts inside them... Well that was worthless. I shouldn't have to start from scratch to bring in a missing part. Even if it can't merge them.... It should be like Oooh I can remember where that second PVZ file loads from and say would you like to load secondary PVZ's from selected location and if not found let you browse or skip.
We have an additional request to display version information(Revision) of the drawing on the Creo View application Can someone please help me in getting the solutioning part? Thanks
Greetings, I am interested in trying to utilize more of the functionality of Schematics rather than just creating wire diagrams.Ultimately I'd love to be able to create a BID, and then create a CID (using the info on the BID), then create a WID. Does anyone actively do this?Would you be willing to share your process? Thank you.
Can I easily switch between the Lite and the Full versions? The end users want to be able to use both for a while
Hi all,I am trying to make a new symbol. I would like for this symbol to just be a note with pop up boxes for the information needed. A pop up box like this: Is there anyway to get this into a symbol note? I don't want it to be a parameter. Just simply a box to type in what is needed. Thank you
Hello,I need help to resolve the Error while using Creo View over the iPad as below. We are using Apple iPad 9.7 with 128GB storage and 2GB RAM.iOS 14.6, iPad (6th Generation), Model MR7J2HN/Ahttps://www.gsmarena.com/apple_ipad_9_7_(2018)-9142.php"Creo View Mobile" is loaded as shown below.https://apps.apple.com/us/app/creo-view-mobile/id560549930?platform=ipadCreo View Error;creoview://?wcparams=eyJhdHRyaWJ1dGVzljp7InVybGJhc2UiOiJodHRwczovL3V0a2Fyc2guYmx1ZXN0YXJpbmRpYS5jb20vV2luZGNoaWxsliwiYnJvd3Nlcil6lilsInNIc3Npb25pZCI6IIIXLTNLeVUOXZNISTNIT2NRVE5JeDZib205by5oaTVtliwidXNlcmlkijoiUGluYWtpRyJ9LCJpZCI6ImN2In0= Please guide and suggest to resolve this.Thank you.
Hello all,In general, the question I have is whether I prefer to work with isolated Creo-Illustrate files for large projects, or preferably just one, where I combine everything together. The problem is, of course, that Creo-Illustrate files are getting bigger and bigger and thus harder to handle. My example:Let's say I create two separtate Ci files (Ci 1 and Ci 2) for two different pvz files (Assembly-1.pvz and Assembly-2.pvz).In each Ci I create for example three 3D figures (3D figure 1...3 and 3D figure 4....6).After some time I realize that it would make more sense to have only one Ci instead of two.So I copy for example the Ci 1 and name it Ci 1+2. Here are now already the 3D figures 1...3 included. Then I import the second pvz, i.e. Assembly-2.pvz. So far, so good. Here is my question:Is it now possible to copy (transfer) the 3D figures 4...6 from the Ci 2 to the new Ci 1+2?Or do I have to recreate the 3D figures 4...6 in the Ci 1+2?Attached is the schematic vie
How do you export multiple Creo Illustrate figures to a PDF?
For an animation, you can move the cursor to whatever time you want within the animation. For sequences you can only move forward and backward. Is there a way to get to a specific time within a sequence animation similar to an animation?
I would like to do two things with Java API.1.Can I automatically assign color to the wire (Fiber) using the property color?2. For unconnected pins, the Connection point is set to 0, but the term name is the part name that we have assigned in the CSV files. Can You say with Java API when connection point is set to 0 that it takes term name Empty?
