Is it possible in Creo Illustrate 2.0 to change the attribute in the Callout Partnumber Annotation from "PARTNUMBER" to some Parameter that is existing in my Creo prt files? I found in the C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Illustrate\resources\pvplugins\galaxystartup\text\resource\CalloutTemplates.xml Line 122 <useproperty category="PROE Parameters" name="PARTNUMBER"/> but the change is not used, since a dll is precompiled and thus the changed option is not used. Does anyone know a trick or how to use other Parameters in Annotations? This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is there a way to create a custom unit definition for measurements in Creo View? I see 14 standard(?) MCAD length options, but in my case I'd like to create a custom unit of measure equal to 40mm.
anziche utilizzare la variabile di ambiente usare un comando interno al interfaccia
On several of our workstations, whenever a dxf/dwg thumbnail drawing is created and viewed in Windchill 10.1, using Creoview Lite 2 or 3 (tried all revisions) the degree and diameter symbols on the screen (and in print) turn into the wrong font mapped symbol and become a tilde and a lowercase "n" -- this only happens with specific machines. Windows 7, 64bit. Others display the same symbols on the same drawings just fine. Different video cards in these PCs/laptops. Tried latest video drivers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See graphic.
We are in the early stages of introducing Illustrate 3.0 here......Working from the CREO 2.0 environment I am able to generate individual .pvz files for all the constituent parts of a moderate sized CAD assy, but when I attempt to create a .pvz file from the .asm file all I receive is a text file. We don't operate a PDM system and we store CAD files in Explorer directories. I note however that if I create a folder on my desktop and backup the CREO files to it I can then generate the .pvz file from the .asm.Anyone got any thoughts ??Thanks,Dave C
I am trying to run PTC Creo Illustrate on large assemblies with more than 30,000 parts in the BOM and although I can open the assembly, I can barely do anything with it. But I have a laptop that is not very powerful, so I assume that I can improve performance by using more powerful hardware. Can anyone tell my what sort of PC/workstation is optimal for running Creo? What will affect performance: - Multiple processor cores or a single high-performance processing core? - Large amount of RAM (how much) - High performance graphics card (recommendations - what type?) Many thanks for any advice. Regards, Marc Honoré
HelloHow can you represent this problem with Simulate:A rail or a very long metal rod, say with a length of 25 metres, lying on the ground. It raises the 2 meters on a side, what form take t - it.What are the constraints of fixing.See the attached sketch.Kind regards.Denis.
Hello All, I want to write 15 mm in Creo Sketch. If I write 15mm, then there is no gap or very little gap between 15 & mm. If I give 1 space between 15 & mm, then the gap between 15 & mm is too much which is looking odd. Is there any way to reduce this gap? Thanks Saurabh
I received a creoview file from a customer and it is showing all dimensions, notes & datums. Is there a way to turn these off so that I don't see them?
I'm trying to open .dgm file in creo parametric 2.0. It is showing me an error "This functionality requires one of: DIAGRAM". How can I open this file in Creo?
HiTo me it seems as it's only possible to export a figure to SVG using Shaded with Edges or HLR render mode. When I use e.g. the White Shaded Illustration render mode it looks as if the SVG still uses the Shaded with Edges render mode. Is this correct?

For Users with a debility of sight for red- and green illustrations it is wished to customize the color for the following red accentuations: -Sketcher: the red Point when a profile geometry isn't closed -Model Tree: the red accentuation when there is an error in a component This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Good Morning,Does anyone know of an easy way to take the outline of a model to use as a sketch so I can calculate the area of an entire face of a model? I am trying to compute wind loads and I need the total area of a façade, not just a section? I am trying to go from the first picture to the second one in a much quicker fashion! Thank you.
Is there any way to change the display order of the Figure thumbnails. As I work on complex illustrations, I generally create many Figures. Often I discover that I need one similar to one I've already made (and I want to keep the old one). The result is Figures panel that has Figures shown in the order created, but I'd like to be able to change the order of the Figures. (Renaming them doesn't help - they're still in created order.) Also (related?) - at the bottom of the Figures panel there's an entry "Manage Figures". What is this supposed to do? Sometimes when I click it I get a useless screen that doesn't let me do anything; other times Creo Illustrate crashes. I doubt either of these are the desired outcome! Anyone with any experience with this? Thanks in advance, Tom Burton
I created a flat (non-Isometric) circle. Typed some text, is there a way to have the text wrap around that 2d flat circle? I know you can project to an ellipse, cylinder etc. but I am trying to do it 2d plane view.
Currently, I think that PTC's business model is killing innovation and is a lose-lose situation. Currently maintenance includes technical support, minor version updates/builds/fixes, and new major versions. This means that PTC has very little stock in improving its own software. This hurts both PTC and the customer. I propose reconsidering this business model by doing the following: Split current maintenance cost into 2 categories: Maintenance and new products Maintenance cost should only be for maintenance. More specifically the following: Technical support Patches Builds (including software compatibility updates) Why are major upgrades included in the cost of maintenance? New products should have the mutual incentive to get more capability for the user and more money for the software company (PTC). If the capability is not with the cost to upgrade, then the user doesn't pay for it. If the user sees significant improvements, than th
In Creo View (V3.0 M032), printing multi-sheet drawings (CGM format) will print all sheets by default. Several people want to have the setting "Current" to be the default. I have not seen any preference for this.

Target: JT format as import format in CREO-Illustrate for the documentation of customer services needed for: Data preparation for the documentation of customer services, JT characteristic for customer service demands Acceptance Criteria: • The “Intelligence Protection“ (removal of meta data, PMIs, BREPs, etc.) must be considered when creating JT data. • JT data needs to be positioned in the system “CREO-Illustrate“: (precondition: availability of canonical elements) • Lower data volume (max. 5% larger than JT without BREP) Advantages: • Significant improvement of the JT data handling in subsequent process. • Increased data security through missing BReps • Reduction of the data volume through missing BReps • Faster JT data creation compared to JTs with BReps • Observing corporate directive
Hi,I have been using PTC Creo View Express. I like how I can do markups on the actual 3D file & take a snapshot of the final complete image of what I want. Is there a possible way I can export it out to save my work as PVZ file or a 3D file? I tried exporting as test, can not get it to activate:I only have the options posted: I looked online and it look like potentially you could? Let me know if this is possible! Thank you for your time,Liza
