What is present: callout leader line weight is changable in interface. Idea: It would be desirable to do the same with the callout label so the border of geometrical form (circle, square...) matches the weight of the leader line. It would also be desirable to add the possibility to change XML code by adding a property such as weight="Xpt" in shape code as shown in the following code XML code: <annotation id="partno" hasLeaders="true"> <name locid="Part Number" /> <description locid="Part Number Callout Style" /> <tooltip locid="Part Number Callout" /> <thumbnail url="partno_callout_img.png" /> <leaders> <line-style weight="1pt" color="#000000" halo="false" dashes="Solid" start="none" /> </leaders> <label
Hello,I would like to import a couple of symbols into my Creo Illustrate Library. Is there a possibility to import multiple Items at once?Thank you for your help
The continued growth of ASME Y14.41, Digital Product Definition Practices, in the CAD community and throughout commercial and defense arena needs to be further integrated in Creo. PTC has been aggressively moving forward with adoption to ASME Y14.41, and the inclusion of annotation planes into the product is exciting and welcome. The overall move toward using digital 3-D CAD data, rather than traditional 2-D drawing, provides great efficiencies and overall quality. Where even greater efficiencies can be obtained is to have the sketch plane during feature creation, be done in the annotation plane. Currently, the annotation plane is a virtual drawing surface. Thus basically moving the effort of drawing creation into the annotation plane, which in effect does not lower the time to create the product. Merely, it is a transfer of effort from one space, 2-D to 3-D. Seems as though the sketch plane and annotation plane can be one in the same. One could argue, how would sketches created in dif
Anyone know how to control the line weights of sketched entities or entities imported on a drawing as DXF entities in Creo View? All of the Creo View entities look great with the exception of these. They appear to have a line weight of roughly 10X of everything else on the drawing in Creo View. However, when viewed in the Creo drawing itself, they look identical to regular items on the drawing.
We have suddenly encountered a problem company wide where when doing certain actions in CreoView, like selecting File/Options causes CreoView to utilize all CPU Physical Memory and causes the CPU to become unresponsive for several minutes. This just started happening where it was fine before. Any suggestions?CreoView 3.0
Hello,My company is starting to use Illustrate in our tech pubs dept. We are trying to open a giant assembly that has different Reps saves in the creo file. Does Creo Illustrate have the ability to show these different Reps. And if so how? Also often when we open a PVZ or STEP file, all of the sub assembly names come into the tree but the parts and assemblies do not show up, even if you click on the model tree and say hide / unhide.Thank you for your time and look forward to your responseCraig G
Is it possible to bring a photograph into a Creo Illustrate 3 drawing? Can a photo be saved into some format such that it can be imported into a Creo Illustrate drawing? If so, when you want to use the photo (for example, to clarify a procedural step), all the other items in the sBOM could be hidden and the photo made visible. The rest of the time, the photo could be kept hidden.Anyone try something like this? Any success or ideas? Thanks in advance,Tom BurtonZebra Technologiesp.s. --- Does PTC monitor these Community boards? They used to answer at least some of the questions, but recently they don't seem to be present.
Hi,Can some one from PTC share the Creo View iPad App roadmap?I am looking mainly for the functionality of the 3D Measurement tool in app. Thanks,Sachin Mahajan

Almost everything else can be used for construction, why not projected curves?
Where can I find any documentation of how to configure and use the Creo View Express as a plugin in a webbrowser like Firefox. So far I'm doing a <embed height="100%" width="100%" name="plugin" src="nvidia-demo.pvz" type="application/x-pvlite9-ed">It is displayed correctly but I want to disable the toolbar, for example.Furthermore I need access to the JavaScript API to be able to communicate with the plugin.I'm using Creo View Express, Version Creo 2.0, Datecode F000 build 23.Thanks a lot for your help.Thomas
First semester teaching Creo 3.0 and I have found that it is difficult for students to see detail on the screen as I present. I will switched the system color scheme to black on white with a couple other tweaks to color and found that helped. Is it possible to change the font and size of sketch dimensions and constraint symbols? It would be beneficial to be able to make this larger/bolder. What other options make Creo easier on the eyes when displayed with a projector? Is there a good resource out there? Thanks.
Hi Everyone,Does anyone else have issues saving an illustration while in perspective mode? While in Orthographic view, saving the illustration takes a couple of minutes. I am saving the same illustration in perspective mode and it has been 26 hours and it is still rendering. The file size is only 56 MB, but is taking up to 10 GB of ram on my computer. Do you have any suggestions? Can you save figures in perspective mode as a line drawing?Sincerely,Dustine
Hello All, We would like to find software that is easy to use and can generate wiring diagram with each signal connected to connectors. Currently, we're using Creo Schematics for interconnect diagram/cable schematics and Keycreator/Visio for wiring diagram. Does anyone use different software to generate wiring diagram beside Autocad, Keycreator or Visio? Thank you in advance for your help. Sun
Is there a recommended graphics input device for CREO, specifically for use in Sketch?
I recently upgraded my Dell XPS 13 from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and am having a problem with the viewport turning black anytime I try to start a new sketch. All of my drivers are updated, I have tried multiple resolutions, and I can't seem to find any solutions.Anyone have an advice and/or similar experiences?
First of all I apologize if I have discussed this topic before. I tried doing a search on this but couldn't find how I could view all my discussions. I do not like how difficult it is to take model changes through new modifications; the struggle is with the naming. I componentize my models. The 1st model is the basic shape. The 2nd model adds flash at the parting line. The 3rd model places gutter depth beyond the flash width. The 4th model assembles all of this in a die. I have to put several componentized model sets into the final die. The changes themselves I would consider as going through this process very easily (most of the time). The struggle is the fact that each of these models needs name changing to identify the new revision number. To discover how to even make this go through was a struggle in itself, but now I at least have a method that will update component by component. This process takes hours.
The connectors are shown but NOT THE CABLES.
We need a printable Export of Images with Color Profile Settings, in Creo Illustrate. We have customers who print documents with color profile CMYK. The selection of the color profile is possible with IsoDraw, we need to have this as well in Creo Illustrate. regards Gabi
When we open our EDIT > PREFERENCES window we see this glitch. The way the options portion of the window overlaps the scroll bar makes it very hard to modify our settings. If I minimize and move the ISO draw window to less than full screen we can see the down arrow so we can scroll but then that messes with our toolbar placement. Basically it is a pain to deal with. Any solutions? Thanks,Mark
Looking for a fast and easy way to fill in a 2d object. Step 1.) Arrange 3d objects for illustration. Step 2.) Project to 2D. Step 3.) Need to fill individual parts with yellow!!!.....Any ideas?
When you attempt to open a .asm file an error comes up saying, "Creo (R) View - productview.exe has stopped working". It seems to open .prt files fine. Any help would be appreciated.
I would like to propose the idea of Highlighting features in the model tree. The same way you would highlight a word or a fraise in a word document. At the moment you can only highlight a feature when you click on it and at the set color. it would be good if you could choose a feature, select highlight, choose a color and keep it highlighted all the time. In this way it will stand out from the list of features and can draw a quick and easy attention to important ones. especially when the person opening up the model is not the same person who modeled it. I hope I made myself clear enough. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question. Kind regards Fulvio
