Hello, I was just wondering why am I not able of modifying the cache size to another value different than 2 GB? Option appears to be unavailable for edition. Why is that? If I recall correctly, this was not the case before.
Working in Creo 3.0 and Windchill with a publisher, when in the creo viewer none of the view state tabs are showing at the bottom of the screen to access other viewstates.
The "Find" is weak in Creo Illustrate I need it to be more powerful. Today: Part name only Part name and attribute value Suggestion: Part name only Attribute only Attribute value only It would be nice to be able to have separate search fields for each too and a wildcard
hello,is it possible to visualize mass property with Creo View Lite?thanks
hi,We already have Windchill and we just purchased creo illustrate and arbortext. What's the standard practice for getting parts from windchill INTO creo illustrate? I thought we would do file, import, from windchill and then grab a Creo cad part or assembly. In reality, I can't import Creo parts from windchill into creo illustrate. However, I can import pvz files from Windchill, but it can never find any. Windchill creates a pvs/pvz file every time it publishes a thumbnail so we can open it in creoView. Why can't creo illustrate open what creoView can? do i need to publish another pvz of every CAD file just for creo illustrate to be able to open it? I did notice that I can open Creo parametric files from my hard drive, but not from Windchill - this seems like a bug or something. What's the standard practice for getting parts OUT of creo illustrate and into Arbortext? I thought we would checkin our c3di file to windchill and a publisher would create a pvz file for arbortext to pick up.
Hi all Just having my first look at the recipe files for exporting to Creo View Express but I cannot start the rcpedit.exe tool. I get the DOS prompt error as attached. I am running Creo 2.0 m150 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. Anybody have any suggestions? I have tried copying and running the rcpedit.exe from the location listed in the error but to no avail. Regards, Neal
Salve, come da oggetto, abbiamo problemi durante l'installazione di Creo Illustrate su computer tramite server, abbiamo problemi a fare riconoscere la licenza. Chiediamo un aiuto. Grazie Saluti
Hallo, anyone knows how to measure the volume of a model in Creo View?? in the measurements summary I do not see the volume icon like in Creo Parametric, and it seems strange to me to not have such a fundamental tool...thanksBye
I am working with TIF files and I need to turn image transparency on. I have created a macro that does this and it seems to work fine. My problem is when I save/export the file out with the transparency on everything appears fine. When I open the file again the transparency is turned off. I have tried not using the macro and manually changing the image transparency to on and then save/export the file with the same result, when I open the file again the transparency is off.Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix the problem?I am using IsoDraw 7.1 F000Thank You for any and all help,Keith Howard-
Hello CommunityDoes anybody has experience running CreoView 2.0 in a Citrix enviremont? In our company we do have two plants working with Citrix, and we need a solution.CreoView on Citrix is not supported but that means not that it does not run....Any experience or solutions?Regards,Marc
(Similar to my question about Annotations.)I'm creating a multi-step repair sequence in Creo Illustrate 3.I want to have a Symbol be visible for the duration of one step. If I try to delete it or hide it in the next step, it disappears from the previous step, the now-current step, and all subsequent steps.. If I do nothing, it remains visible in all subsequent steps!Going one step further, I have some product photographs that include features not shown in the Creo Parametric figures. I can add the photos (in png format) to the Symbols library, but I'd like to use a single photo as a single step. Can this be done? There's got to be something simple that I'm missing here!Ideas?Tom Burton
Why so little or infrequent PTC participation in the Technical Illustration community? Days go by with no replies to posted questions. We generally post questions that are serious and involve something we're trying to do and can't figure out. We need help!Tom Burton

I started a new project and found this issue: "cannot read the central catalog directory directory invalid" how do I set the central catalog directory to resolve this issue?
I am creating a step-by-step service procedure in Creo Illustrate 3.The "standard" acknowledgment statement says "You have reached the end of the step Step x" with the choices Replay, Continue or Complete, and Stop"Is there a way to edit this message? As an example, I'd like it to say "When you have disconnected the ground lug, select one of these choices: Replay, Continue or Complete, or Stop." Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance for any ideas!Tom Burton
Hi,Does anyone know about readily available 3D symbol lybrary plug-ins or extensions for Creo Illustrate please?I'm especially looking for 3D hands, fingers and pointers to clearly indicate certain manipulations and operations in my illustrations.Any help or tips & tricks would be much appreciated! Thanks,Bram
I selected a fairly complex assembly in a Creo Illustrate drawing, and Isolated it. I did the things I needed to it. Is there then any way to Un-Isolate the selected item? (I don't want to "Select All", since I intentionally have some items unselected and/or hidden.Ideas appreciated!Tom Burton
In a Creo Illustration3 figure, there is a particular assembly that I frequently need to rotate around a particular axis.To do this, I have to Hide several pieces that are in the way, and change from my default orientation (all to get the axis accessible). I then select the assembly, select Transform, and the rotation ball comes up in a location other than what I want. I right click on the assembly, and select "Location". I choose Select Coordinate System and I get the little Select Coordinate System window. I hover the cursor over the axis loation until it shows in the Select Coordinate System window, then click OK. As desired, the rotation "ball" moves as desired, and I can rotate the assembly as I wanted. Is there a way I can save and recall that Coordinate System with that Assembly? I frequently need to go through the whole sequence above, and it takes a lot of time (and yields a lot of frustration!).Any ideas will be much appreciated!Tom Burton

Hello everyone,I' m realy struggeling with the customization of creo view 3.0 for our users. For the preferences I'm using the *pref.xml files like shared_pred.xml.But how do I get the pvlite_customization.ui shared for the clients? Thanks in advance,Fred
Does anyone know how to set the Displayed Fields under the Item List tab for all figures in one operation? I have not figured out a way to "globally" set this for all figures after they have been created. Is this even possible? If you duplicate a previous figure, it will retain the same fields, but you have to make sure you set them up before creating the figures. (And hope no one wants to change them.)Thanks for any information on this!Michelle
The attached document guides how to embed a Creo View control object to a PowerPoint presentation. This way you can view, rotate and use other Creo View functionalities on a 3D model in a PowerPoint presentation.
I am attempting to build up a new Connector Shape in Creo Schematics that will support adding Backshell Ports to the Connector when needed. I am also attempting to use the Pin Parameter functionality to populate my Connector Contacts with contact specific information. I am interested if anybody is doing this, I have hit a few bumps along the way, stuck on one now, so I thought I would reach out to see how everybody else is handling this?
We have some long-format drawings. We need to be able to plot them at 1:1 scale. This doesn't seem possible with the out-of-the-box paper sizes from the Print (and Print Preview) commands.
Come posso fare visualizzare questi file correttamente? Vedi esempio sotto, i profili in giallo dovrebbero essere tondi. Grazie.
