We use solidedge and export to JT files inorder to bring them into isodraw 7.3. Just wondering what options I need to have checked off inorder to use the create surface borders option in Isodraw. Any options I change on the JT export do not seem to make a difference in the Isodraw folder.thanksBryon

It was wonderful to see the live demo of the Creo View for iPad app at PlanetPTC in June of this year. There was a lot of excitement and applause during that demo. However, we are almost at the end of this year and there ha been no update on the progress of this application. Meanwhile, many other companies are releasing iOS apps for CAD creation, viewing and interrogation. AutoCAD WS, Inventor Publisher Mobile, Design Review mobile, Turbo Viewer, vueCAD, iRhino 3D, TurboViewer Pro, iXVL View... In fact, 30 apps for the iPad show up when you search "CAD Viewer." So where is PTC? I kills me to see them missing the boat again. If you need help testing, please ask the user community! If you are waiting for Apple to review the app, at least let us know. No new is not good news in this case!

I am trying to create a macro that does the same thing as the ctrl+k keystroke. I want to put this in another macro as one of the steps it completes. I have written this:Macro Preview_on#Defines variables.#Changes the PREVIEW mode to "ON" Added 18OCT12 MESSAGE "Is PREVIEW on? -> " + app.window.preview IF (app.window.preview <> 1) THEN app.window.preview = 1 MESSAGE "Now PREVIEW is on" END IF End MacroBut this will not change the view of the object. I would think this is something simple that I am just overlooking. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.Keith Howard

Provide an uninstaller where I can uninstall multiple or all Creo apps from one release. Currently you have to select the languages you want to install for each Creo app separately. This is annoying because I want to have the same languages for each app anyway. If a special language does not exist for an app then just skip it but don't let me select the same languages 5 times over. PROBLEM: RSD does not support using single wire throug multiple ports (i.e. parlallel connection).   USE CASE: This type of connection is typical when dealing with systems with large currents. Typical example is having a single uncoated wire with say 10 mm diameter, which is connected through several capasitors/batteries/etc ports. For each port the connection is made with screw-clamp joint, so conductor will not be cut at port. Second example is a bus bar - which is made say 10x50 cross section copper bar. Then all devices are bolted to busbar without cutting the conductor. (see case image below)   SUGGESTED SOLUTION IDEA - PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: New countinius conductor fibretype for RSD with caebability to have multiple ports as refrence By adding a "waypoint" feature with "flexible wire"- object to RSD one could keep current point-to-point connection definition. Additional control of routing of fibre location on shemantics enhance readability Use of "waypoint"

Creo Illustrate 2 has a new feature to assembly components/assemblies.I have a use case where I want to assembly a sub-assembly into an exsisting one.The assemble function works great. But I don't know how to fix the orientation of the components after the assembly.This causes problems for instance when I create exploded lines after I create an exploded view of the newly oriented components.The explode lines go back to the original orientation the components from before the 'assemble tool' operation.After the assemble has completed I want that to become the default orientation of the components.Please see the image below for an illustration.Thanks, Theo

The default font is 3D Font in sketcher text.   Can we have the ability to set the default font?

Why does the IsoDraw wmf/emf generator double the image size ? When embedded in Word (or any MS app) the image is no longer the correct size and neither are any fonts in the image, which requires the operator to re-size after embedding - an inaccurate solution. It's great that we can produce higher quality lines, but output size is also a serious issue.

We have recently moved to Creo 2 so I have updated our Creo View publishing. I have publishing working just fine on Creo Parametric. The problem is the office docs. I have one VM to pub both Creo and office. It is a 32-bit system. It has the correct Acrobat. I can also command line publish files fine. When I look at the publish job summary it just hangs at publishing document. I have turned on verbose and looked at the log files and have found no error messages.

I would either like to turn off Auto Save in Creo Illustrate or set it to save at different increments. How do I do this?

hi, i just installed creo 1.0 and its having many problems with the planes because when i try to make any line, any geometric figure it gets a very weird shape. for example, i try to sketch a cricle but it doesnt make a circle it makes kind of a square-circle(very weird figure). i need some help please. sorry for my bada english if it is( i speak spanish)...oh ill show you my problem

I can't seem to create even simple animations in Creo Illustrate 2! (That's not entirely true - sometimes it looks like I've made one, but it plays backwards!!!) Actions don't result in timeline entires.I've tried to follow the animation examples in the Precision LMS My Learning, but those don't work either.I tried using Creo Illustrate 1 on an assembly that I had tried to animate in IIlustrate 2 --- It worked perfectly as expected.Operator error?Thanks in advance!Tom Burtonp.s. - Seems like these discussions are getting less used! I'd like to use the symmetry constraint for more than just vertices; I'd like to use lines as well.   The two vertices in the attached image are not the same length, therefore I cannot choose the vertices I've pointed out in red. But if I could choose the LINES themselves, I could use the vertical symmetry I'm looking for that would replace the 109 dimension.  

I'd like to be able to change colors of dimensions based on whether they are governed by a parameter or relation. This occurs automatically in other 3D softwares that I have used. As a matter of fact, it occurs in all I've used except Pro E. More overall color control of dimensions would be greatly appreciated.

There are two very useful options in the Sketcher Diagnostics Tool, which can save you a lot of trouble:   "Shade Closed Loops" and "Highlight Open Ends"   config.pro options would be very useful to activate the two options.   Today we do it via a mapkey during startup, which opens a sketch and clicks both options on, very nonprofessional.   My proposal:   sketcher_diagnostics_shade_closed_loops     yes/no sketcher_diagnostics_highlight_open_ends     yes/no

I'm sure there are easy ways of doing the following, but they're eluding me:1. How can I determine the distance between two points or a point and a line (both x/y/z displacement and absolute distance)?2. How can I determine the dimensions of a bounding box around a part or assembly?Thanks in advance!Tom Burton
