Is there a way to "attach" an axis or coordinate system to a part? In the Tools tab, if I select a part, click on Coordinate System, then click on an edge of the part, a coordinate system (CSYSn) will be created with one of the axes along the edge. So far so good!If I then go to the Home tab, select the part, and select Rotation Mode, I can then Right-Click on the part, select Location from the window that appears, and click on Select Coordinate System from the drop down menu. I can click on the coordinate system created above and that coordinate system will show in the Select Coordinate System window. I click OK, and the "rotation ball" shifts so I can rotate the part about the new axis. Again, so far so good. However, if I move the part (using Translation Mode), the coordinates created above stay where they were, instead of moving along with the part! At this point, I can no longer rotate the part about the axis I created. Is there a way to "attach" the coordinate system to the part s
When we print AutoCAD drawings from Creo View, it spools for a long time before printing (30 sec - 1 minute). Does anyone know how to speed it up?
Hi All,Is there a possibility to disable Right Click> Copy Image from the Creo View window?thanks,Kumarappan.S
I have a part that is "attached" to a larger structure by two pins in the structure mating to two holes in the part. (I hope that's clear!) I want to rotate the part about the axis implied by the two pins. I'm sure there's a relatively easy way to do this, but it is eluding me!Thanks in advance,Tom BurtonZebra Technologies
How do you edit the sBOM (i.e., move items up or down the list, move items into or out of assemblies, etc.)? The on-line help doesn't help! Thanks in advance,Tom Burton
Creo Viewers, Ran across this one a while back, finally found time to create a short video for those that may have an interest.
Many companies I have worked for use a zone drawing view symbol. This symbol displays the sheet and zone of the drawing where a views child or parent is located. Unfortunately the information is typed into the symbol manually because the pos_loc parameter includes both the x and y location together. For example, Sheet 2, Zone 4C. Looking at the standard zone callout symbol one can see that the blocks for the rows and columns of the drawing zones are above and below each other. So, since this is the standard I am proposing that the pos_loc be split int pos_loc_x and pos_loc_y so that the column can be in one block and the row will be in the other.
1) Currently, for a "*.asm" file, when we do a File--> Save a Copy to "*.dwg" format for a half-section view of an 'ellipse', it converts the ellipse to poly-lines. 2) The result remains same whether we open this "*.dwg" file in AutoCAD or Pro/E. When we do the same for a full-section view of an ellipse, it exports successfully as an 'ellipse' without any issues.
It would be nice if it were possible to create a dwf(x) file directly from Pro/Engineer 2D drawings on 64bit OS systems. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. If I have failures in sketcher and I want to delete all of the missing references for instance, it would be nice to sort on all of the references to filter just the missing ones.

First do you need set templates for StartParts in configuration file (configuration_option and path_to_start_part):- for solid part:template_solidpart D:\start_models\start_part.prt - for sheetmetal part:template_sheetmetalpart D:\start_models\start_smtpart.prt - for assembly:template_designasm D:\start_models\start_asm.asm ... then you can open your data: see video (view in My Videos)
Hi, I want ot know what are the output file formats available in Illustrate. I have a illustration file with a lot of figures created and I want to view it in a web browser. Is it possible to save in HTML format? -- Dhinesh
We're using Creo Illustrate 2. We have several ".prt" files that we would like to convert to ".ol" files so they can be added to the Symbol Library (so they can be shown in drawings but not appear in Parts Lists). How is this done?Obviously, ditto for ".asm" files. Thanks in advance!Tom BurtonZebra Technologies
Bonjour, Je souhaiterai sur une mise en pland'un assemblage exclure de ma coupe un sous assemblage sans passer par l'exclusion pièce par pièce.
I love the trim tool where any line you touch gets trimmed back. Please add another feature that makes the inverse happen. Any 2 or more lines you scribble over get extended until they intersect. This would be a super fast way to connect multple line segments. It also would make it so you dont have to pick directly on the line to extend. You could make an icon smilar to the trim tool, but maybe with a green squiggly line for extend instead of red for trim. Hi! When we assemble model, are we able to make moving parts? (e.g the shaft of a watergun pump that can only extend a certain length) also, my model contains plastic tubes - am I able to make them bendy? or illustrate they can bend?
hi everybody - in an animation I want to show a belt drive with six wheels. To show the wheels rotating is easy, while showing the belt moving is not satisfactory for me until now. I used the funcion 'oscillate' from the effects dropdown menue, but now it looks like a Micky Mouse drive, where the belt nearly jumps off the wheels. Is there a chance to manipulate the effects more precisely? For example, if the belt would only show a very slight movement, then the illusion of a driving belt would be perfect.
Hello, does anyone know how to re-activate a c3di file after a crash of CreoIllustrate 1.0?I had deleted a small animation from a figure and I had already a few times the error message from Windows7-64 bit as shown in the attached screenshot creo_absturz_sml.jpg.Today I had a similar situation in an c3di-Illustration with about 6 or 7 figures, when I had deleted a 50 sec approx. animation from a figure and then wanted to save the illustration. When I now want to reopen the illustration, creoIllustrate states the error message shown in the scond attached screenshot. Is there a log or a backuptool installed with creoIllustrate which might help to use the file again? Otherwise, a lot of work would be lost to Nirvana....The text from the error message says, the illustration might be used by someone else...? But I just restarted the computer and the first action was to start CreoIllustrate and to try opening the file, so...
This is a replica of a lego model that i had when i was young.... never to young to play with legos around 650 pieces... all made in Pro/E. The Animation and Rendering was also made in Pro/E. Hope you like! (view in My Videos)

Hi,We meet a problem to load Creo View Ecpress in Extjs Panel, the following is what we have tried:Use function ProductView in pvlaunch.js. By this way, only show a blank area in ExtJS’s panel, and the browser has an error message says IE is installing pvvercheck_ie.The code is as following:var creoview ="<table border='1' width='50%' height='70%'>"+ "<tr>" + "<td border='3' width='50%' height='70%'>"+ "<script "+">"+ ProductView('',mediaObject)+ "<"+"/script>"+ "</td>" + "</tr>" + "</table>";2. Use embed tagUse this way, it can show the full menu of Creo View, but can’t load PVZ illustrate, the error message is can’t find the illustrate through the path, but if set the path to absolute path, it even can’t show the menu of Creo View. The code is as following:<div style='font-size:12;z-index:-9999;'><embed width='100%' height='92%' src='mediaObject.pvz'/><div style='text-align:right'>icn</div><br><div sty
Hello!I try to carry out following actions:1. I have a 3D ISO file from Arbortext IsoDraw 7.1 M070, which contains some 3D assembly.2. I upload this 3D ISO file into Creo View MCAD 1.0 M030, and then save it in a PVZ format.3. If you try to import the PVZ file into Creo Illustrate 1.0 M030 (by using "Import" -> "Embed" option) it displays only the structure of the assembly, but does not have the 3D model in the working window . But at the same time, the PVZ file can be opened in Creo View Express, and everything is OK here. Is this a bug?
