I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.13In commonspace there is a possibility to use the option "Group By This Field" of most of existing columns.This option is not available in Workspace either on server-site or local workspace (Workgroup Manager).Is there a reason or restriction why this is not available?

Hi everyone ,I have custom form processor that create new WTPart from create wizard of  Document and number of part is same as document , so i have custom numbering schema in my customised OIR that gives me  editable generated number on wizard but problem is in preProcess() method it skips the few number while creating new Part which i don't want part number should be same as document number and one more condition is if i edit the number filed and the wrong numbers then i handeld the exception which helps me to do not create document but in this case in backend it autogenerates the number and increments that on error also which shoul be prevented ,So how can we prevent the skiiping of number and increamenting of number on error using java code

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.1.1I would like additional Columns when performing a Security Audit report in order to see the internal name or ID of a Preference that was changed. When I run a Audit report on Preference Change, I only get an Instance ID. I need an Object ID, in order for me to determine what Preference a user has changed. How do I relate an Instance ID to a Preference ID?

I need to fetch the internal names of all the IBAs available on a type (ex: wt.part.WTPart). Is there any API already available? If not, can some one help with the approach/code to get this?I am using 10.2 M010.Thanks in advance.

Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: Looking for a way for a PDMLink user to tell if a part exist in our SAP system if that user does not have access to SAP. Looking for a way to see an indicator that the part was previously published via ESI. Description: For average users, they may have access to PDMLink but not SAP. They would like to request that some parts be transferred to SAP which we have configured via ESI integration. The parts may or may not exist in SAP already, assumingly previously published. Is there a way for the user to tell that the publish had already occurred and they can assume that the part already exists in SAP? I am looking for if you see this, then highly likelihood that you are good. I am trying to avoid having people look things up for them to be sure. 

 

Is it possible to search for all attributes that are in the various nodes using the advanced search or the PartsLink Explorer. Currently I only see it as possible if I attach all attributes to the top node. Unfortunately, this leads to attributes being displayed on the overview pages of the various products that are not necessary for the respective products. So I would like to only hang attributes for the respective products on a node-related basis and then be able to search for all attributes using the search. Example: Attributes nominal width in node 1 Attributes material in node 2 Attributes color in node 20 My search Show me all articles regardless of the classification node Nominal width: 2.5 Material: POM Colour blue How can I do this without placing the attributes in the top node?

Hello Experts, I am trying to install the WC 12 . I need to know one information about the Directory server. Can i use Directory server Media zip from WC 11.2 while installing WC 12.0.2.0? or I need to use its supported with WC 12.0.0.0?  Just want to know is anyone has tried this before?  Experts your opinion on this please. Note- Currently we are evaluating Opendj security related stuff so want to know if the Windchill Directory server from WC 11.2 media zip can be used.

Hi All, Is there a way to use the email notification robot in the change notice workflow to send an email to all assignees and reviewers that have been added to all tasks in the implementation plan ? Currently, we have a notification robot that sends the email to specific roles when the change notice is submitted, but if it could just be sent to the people and roles that are a part of the Change notice, that would be ideal.  Windchill version - 12.1.2.1
