PTC Community Feedback

I'm unsure if the Mathcad or Community Feedback board is the better place for this request.   I noticed @DJNewman has raised a subscript/superscript button request for the Communities (thanks, Dave 👍).  That got me thinking about a more Mathcad-specific requirement that *should* be easier to implement than MathML/Mathjax/Mathwhatever ...   Could PTC please add Mathcad Unimath Prime to the Community's available fonts?   Although there are several Roman fonts under the Font dropdown, Unimath is designed explicitly for Mathcad and the appearance of Mathcad Math expressions could be more faithfully rendered by having this font available.   Stuart   https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Community-Feedback/Request-for-Subscript-Superscript-Text-Formatting-Buttons/m-p/978091

Would it be possible to add the little eye ball (i.e. show what you have typed) behind the password portion of the login to the community. So many times I fat finger the keyboard (or have my cap locks on - Creo Habit), but you cannot click on the "show me what I have typed" icon before hitting the enter key.

When you are on a page with a new post and the page automatically brings the post up to the bottom of the thread, could there also be a translation icon at the bottom of the page (for translating the whole post) from the bottom.

Also add a subcategory. For instance has Cero many stuff that is separated.I am using very often help regarding MACHINING/Manufactung.Now I use the Filters, but still.. much Stuff I do not need is showed there.. because I can not filter for only machining/manufacturing.So a category with all those sub-categories that are in the "Help" already could also applied here.Look here: It is all under Creo right now.. And then there would be still many subcategories..BUT if you use less than 6 phrases, it really uses an AND concatenation.if you put it into: >"this would" machining< it is looking for the exact phrase AND machining in one thread.

We are aware of a bug which prevents attaching PRT files to community posts. We are waiting for a fix from the community platform vendor.   In the meantime, you can use a ZIP file to attach PRT files. We will post any updates here.

Would it be possible to add another header/filter underneath the group sub-heading? Sometimes posts are moved from one category to another and may get buried in the transition if they are 5+ days old.

The email asks if I would like to not receive emails from PTC Community to "click here" This website is representative of the help one would expect to receive Tired of trying to find the correct place to post this and I know the mods care more about looking like they are doing a good job over actually providing any sort of real solution.  That being said I expect it to be deleted.  Spent 45 minutes trying to find where to post and the frustration won, ptc won. They have received the payment and will not be taking any calls.

We should have subscript / superscript text formatting buttons for Community posts that add / tags, respectively, to a selected piece of text. This would work similarly to existing shortcut buttons like Bold and Italics. It would probably be part of the extended toolbar.   This would be particularly useful on the Mathcad board.

When entering a search on the forum, you can add various filters.   When you chose "author", there is a drop down arrow. Could you make the author of the search for the post (myself) automatically the first drop down for this category? Sometime when trying to help others, I remember either a comment I made on someone else's post or a question I posted some time ago.

Test of upload of zip file containing exe file (for Vivek N - Community Moderator)   Yesterday I met the problem in https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Mapkey-entry-forced-matching-and-timeout-reading-entered-mapkeys/m-p/975915#M31394 discussion.   Hi @vnamboodheri  I dragged&dropped mapkey_show_and_run_2024-10-07.zip to below displayed area. Contents of mapkey_show_and_run_2024-10-07.zip I clicked Post button. Following error message was displayed. I removed attachment and clicked Post button again >>> Success.

It looks like there is currently no method to like someone's comment in the product idea category.  Can we please have this back, or let me know how to do it?   E.g. under the following product idea, I cannot like / Kudo any of the comments to show that I agree without having to comment to each one. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Ideas/Improve-Relations-Editor/idi-p/457970

When orchestrating a search within the Community and filtering by author is desired, would it be possible to make the individual searcher the first thing in the drop down unless you start typing in the keyword box? Frequently I am searching for something I have posted in the past and cannot remember what the solution was and I am trying to find the post that I had originally created.

I started a new post in the PTC Community Feedback, but when I went to submit, it asked me to select a location. I expanded the PTC Community Information Center and there was able to pick PTC Community Feedback. Not sure why since I started there in the first place.

I recently did a search on "Color ObJ". There were some good results, Not sure why some of the post are archived (unless it was from different forum structure and wasn't ported over to the new structure). But if it is archived, should there be a color change or other identifier that the post has been archived?   This post had been archived.   Thanks, Dale

It looks like you are just responding with standard messages to threads that aren't marked as solved. This gives a very unprofessional impression, especially in this case where: • the question of the original poster is pretty clear as it was previously rated by you as 'well documented'.• the question is obviously not answered, and should actually be answered by a PTC employee, maybe a sales rep. Instead of that, you could have found a colleague, that can actually answer this question.   Success!Luc

Hello,I have used Creo and WCH ideas RSS but now seems to stop working. Am I correct? How to "subscribe" a list of new ideas only?Subscription of whole category gives me all posts/replies and I don't want them. If turn this off won't be notified for my own posts/replies so looks as not a proper solution to me.

Just perused the "How To's" to find out how to attached a file to your post. I know I've seen it in CAD area, but I thought I'd find it in the "How To's". Did I miss it?

This, right here:  --> Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.1. What product and version are you running?PTC Community 2024-01-082. What is the problem? For example, take a look at this screenshot of what are probably some very good ideas, chosen at random.  There are three lines of text previewed for each one.  How useful is the preview to you?  This is the result of the template for new ideas, which was created as part of the "great archive effort", also known as "resetting the clock on ideas that really should have been implemented by now".  We're now required to answer these questions, and while the information is useful, it is all collected as text and presented, along with the questions, all smashed together in the preview.  3. Are you using a workaround? If yes, please describe it.Either vote or ignore while staying uninformed about the actual idea, or load it in another tab.4. What is the use case fo

Has Creo+ been added to the dictionary? Every time I type it, I get a red squiggly line.

Within Codebeamer suggestion ideas are it is not possible to search, therefore a field in the top for searching would be great. Otherwise I have to manual went through a lot of ideas.

I was recently perusing product ideas and after sorting by date (instead of "Hot Ideas") started working my way down the ideas. I came across an idea, opened it and spent some time with it until I realized that the idea had been archived even though it was less than a month old. How bout changing the color of the word archived to red to more visually note this.

Could there be an easier way to get to the duplicate idea of an idea that status is "duplicate" than have to click on the original post, scroll through the comment and then click on the link to the duplicate post? Could that link be posted in the header somewhere?

Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.1. What product and version are you running?CREO and Windchill. 2. What is the problem? If you Google "Solidworks dominating universities", the first result says, "Solidworks Education reaches the 2 million licenses.." from a 2015 blog. That number probably have increase by now.let's review a few paragraphs from the blog to see what the problems are...."....Simply put, SOLIDWORKS has changed how students and educators think about design"."For 20 years, SOLIDWORKS has created a generation of engineers that design new and innovative products. SOLIDWORKS is nurturing the skills and creativity of the next generation of designers and engineers by providing our tools to students."My problem is the long-term side effect where their mindset is so nurture and brainwash by Solidworks that they’re in a denial state to except CREO as a much more powerful tool.If you assign these people to a mandated project where
