All,I've recently installed the student version of Creo 2.0 M020. For the first few days everything worked as planned, but now I am unable to launch the application because of error 0x0000005: "Creo Parametric is shutting down because it could not run the Quality Agent, which is required in this edition."I have tried uninstalling and reconfiguring the software multiple times, with the same results. Initially I thought the problem arose because the Quality Agent was being installed in the wrong directory (C:/Program Files (x86)), but I have tried unsuccessfully in multiple locations. I am able to run the Quality Agent, although nothing happens when I try to send a report. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and I currently have Pro/E Wildfire 5.0 installed on the same machine. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

HelloI am sorry that I am posting in the wrong forum section. I wasnt able to find any section matching my problem.I purchesed a Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 Student Edition licence last year in my school, which should last 5 years or so.It worked like a charm. But I needed to reinstall my computer.At the installation the licence is no longer accepted. It states that it has been activated too often, when i want to validate a licence file.The problem is, that I need to work Pro/E in the next 24 hours, because of some work for my school. Hopefuly someone knows a solution to my problem.regards max

every time that i open the ptc install manager in order to get my license. the ptc install manager begin to run when it up to 100%, it is disapear and never come out. I try many times but still cannot open it. what should i do?

I have run PTC Installer and tried to save the license to the my documents, but it won't appear there.In an effort to work around this, I ran PTC Installer on my friend's computer and emailed the license to me and continued with the installation. Now, however, the programs will not run because they do not have a valid license.What should I do? The license won't save to my documents so I have no idea how to retrieve it and install it properly.FYI: I am using Windows 7 on Parallels 7.Thank you.

I know the student edition is free and they give you a product code in the email. But does it ever expire and be rendered inoperable after a period of time?

Hi FolksI have Creo 2 student edition installed but when i try to run Layout 2.0 the software all I am getting is a box pop us with with a chinese symbol along the top a yellow triangle and the word Message beside it, there is an OK button but the box disappears and Layout 2.0 does not start.I am running Vista SP2.I have ran the reconfigure to see if that made a difference, I have also reinstalled the quality agent with no difference.any help appreciated.

I'm having problem with creo 2.0 student edition. Installation went well but when i run the creo parametric or any other module it keeps crashing after Splash screen.Intel Dual Core E5500 CPU,4 GB DDR RAM, ATI RADEON 5450 GRAPHICS ADAPTER.please help..thanks

Week 6 of PTC Robotalk 2012 focused on Conceptual Design using PTC Creo. Jordan Cox prepared a video demonstrating the use of Creo Parametric to construct a dynamic 3-D concept model using "block parts" rather than material from the FRC kit of parts. The demonstration focused on the task of lifting and placing tubes on a rack, much like the 2011 Logomotion competition.  Here is the video:Conceptual Modeling using Creo Parametric Video Link : 3425 Constructing  a model such as the proto-robot in the video requires a basic understanding of 3-D modeling using Creo. Hi,I've Creo 2.0 Student Version and wanted to install it.At installation allthing runs well. All OK.But if I start Creo 2.0 Parametric then there comes an errormessage: "Could not start the quality assistant. Errorcode: 0x5".I'm from germany so my error looks like the picture.What should I do?Thanks alot.

I am part of the Kettering, Ohio team, and our students have still not recieved invites to the windchill project page. The instructor has recieved an email, however, approximately a few weeks ago. We registered within the first few days that registrations was open, and included email information for all of the participating students. Even so, we have still been waiting for the invitation. If we have possibly done anything wrong, please let me know, or if it is delayed, I would like to know that we will recieve the invitation still at an approximate date. From the webinar I heard that most teams had already recieved the emails, so I was concerned because our team registered fairly early after registration opened and have not recieved anything besides the instructor email.

September was Mathcad month! PTC's FIRST Program team decided to begin the year with Mathcad Prime because FIRST participants can use Mathcad's capabilities in their STEM classes at school as well as when designing a robot. In fact, we believe that if students use Mathcad in math, science, and engineering classes at school, they will be better able to apply their subject matter knowledge in FIRST Robotics. Thus, Mathcad was a logical place to start the Robotalk season. Weeks 1-3 introduced Mathcad's interface to the participants, taught basic skills of creating an engineering worksheet, and demonstrated Mathcad's tools for both numeric and algebraic (CAS) solutions to problems. Mathcad offers great functionality for measurement and instrumentation applications. In this video Chris Hartmann demonstrates the use of the READCSV command, one of many data importing functions, to easily import sensor data into a Mathcad worksheet so that the data can be plotted, modeled, and interpreted in a self-documenting worksheet.
