Community Thread for Creo for Academic logger

The error occurs as soon as I launch creo, the number being 0x06000012. I've tried to fix this problem by reinstalling, editing in the graphics win32_gdi to the config.pro file , restarting my pc, made sure my drivers were updated, and it's not being messed with by my anti-virus (read that all of these were ways to fix this problem but none have worked so far).     

I had some problems installing the program the first time so i reinstalled it but now im getting this error?

Hello everyone, I have a problem: for academic work I need to work on Creo 5.0 while i'm working at university labs, but on my PC I have Creo 3.0, which i'm using for other work. Is it possible to save a file in creo 5 so it's possible to open and work with Creo 3 after ? I tried to install Creo 5 on the PC but it seems it has problems. It is possible to have two versions of Creo working on the same PC (both academic licences) GCRI Method and .neu is not working

Hi!My license for Creo Student 6.0 is expiring in a few days. Whenever I try to renew it, it says that my email is incorrect (though it isn't!). What could be the problem? Kind regards, Matthias Pixner      

I installed 30-day trial of Creo Parametric. When I open the program appear following write "license request failed for feature". If I push ok, next message said "impossible to charge AFX" for two time. After this the program    Can you help me?

Hello,   If I try to connect with the education license to our Windchill system, I get the Invalid Server Location Error. I checked many articles (CS174534, CS185244, ...)  here but nothing is working: I reinstalled Creo I set some environment variables (I checked the env with a system which is working and found not one env variable about creo there?) I checked the server adress Even if I try to start the CreoAgent manually nothing happens Probably, I am missing the one obvious hint. So thanks for help. Kind regards, Arn    

I downloaded Creo 7 Student. When I open the program for the first time it pops up with a "Warning Message List" that says "License request failed for feature." I'll press OK, and then another message that says "AFX failed to load." I'll press OK, and then another message pops up that says "IFX failed to load." I'll press OK after that and it will close out the program.

Hi there. My question is about detailed view style. Is it possible to achieve the effect shown on the picture below? I'm especially interested  with connector line between parent view and detailed view and circle boundary line in the detailed view.    

A software defect has been identified in Creo 7.0.1.0 that could lead to the corruption of a customer’s part or assembly when using copy/paste of a surface or quilt.   This defect does not exist in Creo 7.0.0.0.   Creo 7.0.1.0 has been removed from the PTC Software Download page. PTC is working to resolve this in Creo 7.0.2.0.   For additional information and suggested workaround, see Support article CS329211

I get these two errors after downloading a student copy of CREO4...   Please help, I need to create some work for a job interview.  

Hello all,  I have a single part that has datum A and B, then this parts gets machined in an assembly, and I want to reference this machining operation(in Assembly mode) to A and B (from Part mode). is there a way to do that in creo?   also, can datum planes be sequential from part to assembly? so if I used A and B datum in part, can I used continue with C and D....etc in an assembly?    thank you all for your help.

Since 3 days I have an issue with some basic functions in my software CREO Direct Modeling 6.0. It is not possible to move parts by aligning surfaces or rotating. Best regards Sebastian Hoch

Dear Support-Team! We have learned, that Creo Illustrate 6.0 is included in the Creo 6.0 Academic license. Since we do NOT use Creo 6 I have now tried to install different versions of Creo Illustrate (4.1, 5.1, 6.0) using "normal" Creo 5 and 7 academic licenses (beginning with BE5.... , BE7... ) without success. There is always an error "No such feature exists". Is there any possibility to run Creo Illustrate without using the Creo Premium versions? Best regards Peter Thurner

I've got a couple of old .des files (created with ProDesktop 2001 I believe), I'd love to be able to use these models again because they have a lot of sentimental value, I was wondering if there was any way of converting them to a modern common format such as .3ds or Wavefront .obj?

Hello, i am using creo 3.0 and I had to use the HTTPS link to download it. After unzipping the file with winrar and starting the setup, I did not have the option to enter the license code and install the application. I am using a student account if that is important. What is the issue and how can I resolve this?

Hello, i am having issue with my customer id and sales order number. When i try to open an account on PTC.com it says that they dont match. I have recieved an email with the Customer ID and Sales Order Number from the software shop asknet which is associated with my University Duisburg Essen, nevertheless it says that dont match. I have tried contacting asknet and my university and ptc multiple times, both via email and over telephone, no one has been able to provide with a solution. Is there a student or anyone who have faced similar problem of the Customer ID and Sales Order number not matching. Please Help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys.    Good evening.. i need your help.. well basically, teacher want to me to install Creo 3.0 from MED-100WIN-CD-400_M190_Win64 onto all student machines. Now i have read all the instruction on how to install Creo 3.0, when it comes to section where i have Run - setup-schools.exe and i have right click the file and select " Run as Administrator" - Successfully done then i click install new software then click Next - Successfully then i accept the licence agreement then click Next - Successfully  then i cannot see any list of Creo programs in the box as its all white box.  What can i do to get to see list of Creo Programs which i can install or not etc.   Please advice me please.    Look forward to hear from you soon..
