Hello, We are a new FTC team and are trying to install Creo4.0 for the first time. Everything seems to work fine and install is successful. When opening Creo for the first time a warning message comes up: Warning Message list License request failed for featureRequesting CREOPMA_SchoolSTD3... C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing\BE400407EDSTUDENTEDK12_license.dat:(-1) Cannot find license file. I have tried navigating the Licensing folder and placing the .dat file there. I have viewed some of the other solutions from previous similar questions and I am unable to follow those directions. They generally say that from the PTC Installation Assistant point the license to the correct file at the "License" tab - something like below: https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Academic-Program-Discussions/Creo-4-0-Problem-with-installation/td-p/483266 When I run setup-schools.exe file I do get the PTC Installation Assistant, but Licences is not a tab on the left as in previously solved questi
I am trying to download PTC Creo 4 student version. All links dead. I was also trying to manually activate my PTC Creo direct modelling express 6.0, but link for activation is also dead. PTC Creo is a great product, but why does none of your links ever work. I do not understand this. And without paying up-front, it is the hardest company in the world to get in contact with. Please, can someone from PTC contact me, or help me in any other way? I really wish to use PTC creo since it is my favorite #D modelling software.
Hi there, can you please help me. I registered my student email to creo student, but I didnt received any email with the license code and the download for the software. At last one week ago I emailed at creo support, but nothing happend. Best regards Philipp

Hi, I download CREO4 for student. But, i have an error when i try to install the licence. I follow the roadmap write here:https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Academic-Program-Discussions/Licence-Issue/m-p/536850#M9685%3F&art_lang=en&posno=2&q=student%20licence&source=search But my issue remains. Hello, I am a mechanical engineering (university) student trying to install Creo v4 with a student license. After I filled out my information on the PTC website, the site gave me links to download the installation files (~4GB) and a PDF with instructions. Those instructions included a product code BE410708EDSTUDENTEDK12. When I enter it in the Installer, it prompts me to enter my email address and password for PTC.com. After I do that, the software hangs for a few minutes. Eventually the bottom half of the screen shows a path to a file in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing\, and a status of "invalid file or format". The Next button is disabled so I can't go any further in the installation process. From reading other threads, I have (unsuccessfully) tried the following: Rebooting and deleting all files in the folder C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing before installing. Disabling all network adapters except for the adapter that's connected to the inter
Hi, I'm trying to add a NC path to one of my models to allow it to be milled out of a bar by a CNC machine, but every time I go to start a NC manufacturing, or any sort of manufacturing for that matter in the Creo 2 student edition, I don’t get the manufacturing tab or any options. It thinks about it for a second then doesn’t do anything. I get no change from whatever screen I'm in. As a stopgap, I created a NC work piece over the top of the model in assembly, but I can’t get manufacturing to load or open to do anything else. I feel like I’m missing something, pointers?

I have a ESP8266 script that uses the urequests module to put to a property on the academic ThingWorx. The same ESP8266 script, with appropriate changes in URL and appKey, generates an ssl handshake status of -40. Anyone have any ideas as to why?
I apologize - that first message/topic was lousy. I have a ESP8266 Python script (below) that uses the urequests module to successfully put to a property on the academic ThingWorx. This same ESP8266 Python script, with appropriate changes in URL and appKey, generates an ssl handshake status of -40 when trying to put to a property on an evaluation server. Anyone have any ideas as to why? ---script follows-- import micropythonimport network import urequestsimport ujson yourWifiSSID = "SSID"yourWifiPassword = "password" sta_if = network.WLAN(network.STA_IF)sta_if.active(True)sta_if.connect(yourWifiSSID, yourWifiPassword) while not sta_if.isconnected(): print(".", end="") pass print() print("connected to network") url = 'https://academic.cloud.thingworx.com/Thingworx/Things/OfficeWX_userName/Properties/LightLevel' headers = {'Content-Type': 'application/json', 'appKey': 'xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx

After Windchill was upgraded last week, I was unable to connect ("unsupported server error"). I upgraded from Creo 3 version M030 to M070 and could now register the server. However, whenever I tried to look at my workspace or Windchill cabinets, I'd just get a bunch of script errors and a spinning logo. I can load Windchill files from the Open dialog, but can't do anything with them without the workspace interface in Creo. After trying to clear my cache, restart Creo, etc. with no success, I gave up. I then went to another thing that irritated me - the "MicrosoftAgent/..." being added to my login dialog every time. I found the solution in a Windchill CAD integration thread - change your default Creo browser using the windows_browser_type config.pro option set to chromium_browser.This made my login problem go away AND it also solved the script problems!! I am now able to use Creo and Windchill like normal with Chrome under

I've followed what I can find to re-license our schools installations but with no joy. We need to teach several groups and have the prospect of non licensed computers and no lesson with Creo. Any one got a straight forward work around that can be implemented between lessons?
I have this blue circle on the side of my screen, and cannot rotate my models. Creo is being slow and nonfunctional.
