Hello to all, I'm writing this post from Italy, sorry if my English is not good: ')I downloaded Creo 3.0, Unzipped, but when I enter the license code (BK400407EDSTUDENTUNICL) does not make me write in the line. Can anyone help me please? Many thanks!

After creating a new assembly drawing along with a bill of materials list, we hit "Create Balloons - All". It seemed to have missed some of the parts and not give them a balloon at all, just skipping over them. We tried "Create Balloons - By Component" to add them to parts that were lacking but ran into trouble when it just wouldn't label the components after clicking them, double clicking, middle clicking. How do we go about adding our own balloons to correspond with the bill of materials list?Garrett ValleyFRC 4931 Student
What's the benefits of using the 3D print option (per the latest newsletter) as opposed to exporting a copy of the part as an STL file? We've been doing the latter for a long time without any issues, but would love to know if there is something we're missing.Rande JohnsonFRC4931
Hi everyone,I'm writing this post from France, sorry if my english isn't that good :')I downloaded Creo 3.0, unzipped it, and when I tried to enter the license code (BK400407EDSTUDENTUNICL), it says there's an error. So I searched for solutions, and apparently, you have to ask to PTC for them to send you a license file by email, which has to be inserted in the blank box, under the one in which you enter the license code. The thing is, I'm totally unable to find where I can ask for this license file. I searched on their website and didn't find anything about it.Can anyone help me please? Thanks a lot!T. Nieradzik-Kozic
Hi all,I'd like to observe a specific property of my Thingworx Thing via Java SDK. Therefore I've created a Thingworx Client, which is connected to Thingworx. After this, I've created a Virtual Thing with my Thingname and added a propertyChangeListener. Unfortunately, the listener does not get fired, as soon as I change the property in Thingworx. Does anyone know where's the problem or where to find an example for this? Here's my Code Snippet: ClientConfigurator config = new ClientConfigurator(); config.setUri("http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/Thingworx/WS"); config.setAppKey("xxx"); config.ignoreSSLErrors(true); try { TwxClient client = new TwxClient(config); client.start(); boolean isConnected = client.waitForConnection(30000); System.out.println("Client is connected:"+isConnected); String thingName = "ThingWatcherThing"; VirtualThing thing = new VirtualThing(thingName, "", thingName, client); thing.addPropertyChangeListener(new VirtualTh
We've been using Creo and Windchill for several years and have a pretty good handle on using them for concepts and design. Now we'd like to extend them to manufacturing our robot. We have access to CNC machines, plasma cutters, laser cutters, and more in our local FabLab. But we're new to exporting 3D CAD data to tools like MasterCAM or as lines and curves for our plasma cutter. Does Creo do any of this natively or do we need to export in some format and then import into other tools?Rande JohnsonFRC4931
This is a step by step guide to create an assembly drawing and bill of materials with Creo.

I have a problem with my Setup from Creo 2.0.When i try to start the Setup it looks like it starts and it asks me if it is okay to change settings on my PC but then nothing happens. I had Creo but i deinstalled it. And now I am not able to install it again. Is there anyone who can help me or know my Problem?
i need to perform mold analysis for my project work but all i have is student version. Can i perform this analysis using my version. If yes is it possible to perform molten aluminium analysis?
I removed Creo and reinstalled it. The license still does not work. I asked my school's IT department and 2 instructors who teach Creo to assist. It still does not work. Can anyone help resolve this and install / run the program? Anybody?
I downloaded the PTC suite of applications, primarily for using Creo Parametrics for my engineering class. I downloaded the software fine and can open the applications, however, upon opening, a message box is displayed:"License request failed for feature"and the program closes. How can I:1. Obtain a free license as a university student2. Register this license with my software after it is downloadedThanks in advance!Jonathan
A student and I both edited the same part at the same time, with one of us somehow not checking it out first. So the one version was A.3 and the other was A.4. The A.3 person (me) needed to upload the rest of assembly and could not. I just threw away the latest revs and reloaded. So a couple of questions:How did we get into this situation? Do I need to lock or checkout a whole assembly to prevent others from using it (rather than just counting on Windchill to do it for me)?Is there a way to roll back Windchil to a previous version? The changes in A4 were minor compared to A3, so would have preferred to discard A4 instead.Rande J.FRC4931
Is there an easy way to add other materials (like AL-7075) to the defaults the educational version of Creo provides? We're hoping to get into Simulate this year so we need to make sure we have the right properties set.
I was going to post this in the other discussion, but it was getting pretty long and convoluted. I have two questions about the new Windchill installation:(1) Some of the error messages seem to be missing. I'm getting plenty of errors (mostly my fault, of course) but when I go to the event manager, the message field is blank. Cryptic as they are, they can be useful. Is this a "yet to come" feature?(2) Do/will FIRST teams have access to the Design Exploration (DEX) functionality? I've been hoping that the reason we couldn't have it is that our Windchill was old...Thanks,Noa
How are other teams organizing their parts within Windchill? Right now we have all of our parts in the CAD Models folder, but after 3 years of doing this that's getting to be a long list. Are other teams using a folder structure? Any good or bad with that? Any issues with leaving them all in one folder as we've done? It is simpler, but does seem to take longer to load a list of parts now.If people do use folders, then is there a good way to move parts around within Windchill?Rande JohnsonFRC 4931 Mentor
Whenever I try to use the link from the installation guide for the Creo Parametric 3.0 or 2.0 it says 404 server failed and it doesn't let me download the file. What can I do to get the creo software for a student?
