Standing Desks Are AWESOME! 🪑⛔ It was around mid-2019 when I started to take standing desks more seriously than I ever had before. Prior to that I'd always dabbled a bit, but now it is very much part & parcel of work life. It's really helped with my back troubles and helps me maintain a focus by keeping my body constantly alert. It is definitely burning more calories (so i can eat more, LOL) and overall I just feel so much better for it.[the truth behind standing desks, as per Harvard's Research is that it's only slightly more...] Recently I lucked out with a online deal and found the most perfect desk to put into the home office (replacing the old make shift DIY version I used since the beginning of lockdown in 2020). But standing is not for everyone... Loving My New Set Up 💖👏 Not too big... not too small... just right. And with the perfectly sized fold away bar stool (2nd hand, dirt cheap, happy days!) it's absolute heaven. I personally believe that having a great environment

Hi, Everyone!   So your PTC Community Manager spent much of August on vacation.  I have been really guilty during my PTC tenure of letting my PTO (paid time off) "go" or roll over...and over.... One Stack To Rule Them All.... or not! PTC is quite the classic organisation when it comes to project management tools & systems. It's a large corporation with many divisions and many preferences in way of working! That means that we end up with quite some variances in our stacks, and it is often at times confusing as well as mind boggling that companies can so easily end up looking like this: 😲🙈   In A Ideal World I am the kind of person that LOVES streamlined, simple & effective systems. Just one or two to get the job done and preferably with the whole company on them and working in the same (or similar) manner. We're Halfway there! I woke this morning to major disappointment... instead of grabbing breakfast and sitting down to the latest & greatest Tokyo 2020 has to offer, I was grimly reminded that the Olympics ended over a week ago.  Bummer! Whenever the Olympics come round I always find myself wondering what it would be like to be an Olympian. Walking out into the stadium during the opening ceremony. The excitement. The nerves. This new element has been tentatively named "Administratium." Administratium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 111 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by a force called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Administratium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Administratium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Shingles cost 79 cents per hundred and weigh 8 pounds apiece. The log being pecked upon is 34 feet long and weighs 46 pounds per foot. Assuming that the coefficient of friction between the woodpecker's bill and the cypress log is 0.097 and that there is negligible resistance to diffusion, how many units of Vitamin B will the woodpecker require in pecking out enough shingles for a $7,500 barn with detachable chicken house? All,   We realise there are hot summers even at higher lattitudes. Its not so much lattitude only, in addition the earth's tilt, proximity to sun, and earth's orbit thus leading to duration of a season.   Canada continues to experience a heat wave, with lightning strikes during the hot weather. Usually most parts of the world at the time of lightning strikes its usually raining or just about to start. So what happened here? Clouds appeared, lightning occured, but no rain. With lightning heat sufficient enough to start a fire on dry grassland.    How do you validate climate change in Canada in this June-July 2021 experience ? When 'climate change and its impact' is a relatively HOT topic in most parts of the world.    Another goal for climate change proponents maybe. Lucky America has a president who does not discredit climate change. Your comments are welcome if needed. It was more so a recognition of this event in PTC Community.     &

KEEPING UP THE ENERGY Here are some facts about the past year and a half: Corona came along and really messed up the world. Fact.  The business world's response to Corona was immense and the digital world itself became super busy. Also fact. Because we all ended up at home behind our desks and moving even less than normal, we piled on the so-called Corona lbs/kilos. Sad fact! 😥 Some parts of the world are slowly coming out of lockdown and offices are opening properly once more, but it is still a massive effort to stay energised, both in body and mind, whether it's doing fitness, being creative just relaxing or taking care of nutritional values!   ENERGIZING INITIATIVES Oddly enough, the past year I myself have never felt more energised!
