Hi, PTC Enthusiasts,     Today is International Pets Day!   I thought I would share something fun we are doing here at PTC today!  We are launching a PETS MicroCommunity! We were encouraged to change our internal Teams avatar for the occasion.  If you have been on this PTC Cooler any amount of time, you know how much I love my Maple!   We, at the PTC Community, are going to stay "Support Community," but for today (or rest of the week or month...whatever gets your tail wagging 😉 why don't we switch our avatar to commemorate our love of our pets!   Calling all cute pet photos too as a reply to this post!

I hope you have a terrific weekend. Enjoy time with the ones you love. Don't be blinded by the eclipse.       The difference between the theory and practice is small in theory, but large in practice.   Experience is the lesson nature gives you five minutes after you need it.  

It's Friday, ... but SUNDAY'S COMING!!! Belated Happy Pi Day!!! For those who prefer, there is an obscure person that is celebrated this coming Sunday. Wear green if necessary. Just enjoy time together over the weekend!         Pipe Specifications (The series continues…)   All pipes shorter than 1/8in (3mm) are very uneconomical in use, requiring many joints. They are generally known as washers.   Joints in pipes for piping water must be water-tight. Those in pipes for compressed air, however, need only be air-tight.   Lengths of pipes may be welded or soldered together. This method is not recommended for concrete or earthenware pipes.

In the blink of an eye it is March. This reminds of my mom's sister. Every year I would call her on her birthday and ask the same question.... "What day is the world command to go forward?"    March 4th....   Miss my phone calls with her. Hug the ones you love, even it if is through a phone line....     Pipe Specifications (The series continues…)   Pipe over 2 miles (3.2km) in length must also have the words "LONG PIPE" painted in the middle, so the contractor will not have to walk the entire length of the pipe to determine whether or not it is a long pipe or a short pipe.   All pipe over 6ft (1.83m) in diameter must have the words "LARGE PIPE" painted on it, so the contractor will not mistake it for small pipe.   Flanges must be used on all pipe. Flanges must have holes for bolts, quite separate from the big hole in the middle.

WOW! Last Friday post for the month of February. Time is flying by. Do NOT miss out on time with the ones closest to you because you are toO busy!   Pipe Specifications (The series continues…)   All pipe is to be supplied with nothing in the hole, so that water, steam, or other stuff can be put inside at a later date.   All pipe should be supplied without rust; this can be more readily applied at the job site. NOTE: Some vendors are now able to supply pre-rusted pipes. If available in your area, this product is recommended, as it will save a great deal of time at the job site.   All pipe over 500ft (150m) in length should have the words "LONG PIPE" clearly painted on each side and end, so that the contractor knows it's a long pipe.  

I've been investigating Java classes and came across constructors and method overloading. While I grasp the fundamentals, I'm having some issues with my code implementation. Have a great day and a terrific weekend.     Pipe Specifications (Let the series begin…)   All pipe is to be made of a long hole surrounded by metal or plastic centered around the hole.   All pipe is to be hollow throughout the entire length - do not use holes of different length to the pipe.   The ID (Inside Diameter) of all pipe must not exceed the OD (Outside Diameter) - otherwise the hole will be on the outside.

So I was listening to a book on the way to work, as usual, and it paused.  I looked at the screen and it appeared to be waiting for a command.  Then after a few seconds the book continued.  I thought that was weird, then I realized the character in the book had said "OK, Google wasn't much help."  Guess Google was listening, but not realizing it had just played those magical words.  🚙📖🤣

Had a great time meeting so many amazing users and vendors at the PTC User Global Summit 2024.   Spending the day with family before heading back north.   The engineers of several beer companies are at a bar together. The engineer of Budweiser orders a Bud Light, the engineer of Miller orders a Miller Light, the engineer of Coors orders a Coors Light. This continues until the bartender finally asks the engineer of Guinness what he would like. He replies, "A coke". All the other engineers ask him why he did not get a Guinness. He replied, “If none of you are drinking beer then why should I?”   No alcohol was consumed in the making of this funny. Especially at the PTC User Global Summit...

While others are in a deep freeze, we have lake effect snow. Instead of negative temperatures we are single digits to low double digits. But we do get a lot of snow. Here is the map with the area of Michigan showing the snow circled.     Here is my picnic table in the back yard...
