Hi Experts,   We are currently challenged with the below attached use case as it is at this point a manual task. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome:)   Expected Results: Should be able to see whole BoM structure (similar to Design BoM) released to Global Plant in ERP system (refer below attachment). Should be able to see BoM structure released to specific plants with only necessary Part Substitute picked in ERP system (refer below attachment). To follow Digital Thread/Traceability, how to make sure that the correct Part Substitute can be assigned when building Process Plan from M-BoM. Is it a possibility to use Alternate BoM approach? If Yes, then how to have the structure created which fulfils below expected results? Looking forward to get wiser with the recommendations/ideas shared. Thank you in advance. Stay Safe...!!! Is there a way to import excel files into a document, using Integrity 11.2.   We are looking for a feature that would allow creation of new line items and update any existing line items, if the Item ID matches

Hello,This error does not happen often but I need to give a return to the user.In this case, when the user attempted to change the text (without using copy / paste) from Content below, he received the message:system clipboard data unavailable.The change could not be made even by finalizing and restarting the Integrity Client.The only way was to boot the user's computer.Regards.

Hi,We are using Integrity 10.3 with FSA. When main server down, all the proxy server (Integrity service) going to down state. We want all the FSA proxy server should be be in start state even though Main server is down.Kindly guide us.RegardsSarath

Most of the assignment triggers in our environment that are meant to clear/blank out a rich-text field are configured to a value like "<!-- MKS HTML --> ". Not sure why the consultants put it in there. Is this necessary? Why not just clear it to a blank value? Reached out to PTC Support, but nothing helpful so far. 

I have tried to setup a C# project with referenced to ENT6Lib. But it will always raise an error that the COM classes for ENT6Lib.CCaseProjects not registered.   System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: 'Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {594B0CA2-7610-11D1-BA96-444553540000} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)).' I have install the Modeler with the option client only. What else need I prepare to fix the problem? Thanks!  

Unfortunately I forgot to checkpoint my project. Now I have about 30 change packages with several released software versions within. How get I get the source code of those releases?   Is there a possibility to download the content of a change package? Or even better to download a sandbox after  e.g. the first 4 change packages?

Is there a way to globally search and replace strings across documents. I have about 300 parameters that now have to be slightly modified in about 80 test suites. Can this be done either using the GUI or through the command line?

Hello,   I'm seeking help to accomplish the following   TASK:   Incrementally transfer history records of an item from PTC Integrity to an external database. Besides that, extract only a subset of fields, contained in the history records.   DESIRED APPROACH:   - Get the timestamps of existing history records of the item in PTC Integrity, - Get the timestamps of the history records already stored in the external database, - Determine which timestamps from PTC Integrity are missing in the external database, - Get the missing history records from PTC Integrity one by one and store them in the external database   PROBLEMS:   - The only way to get the history records seems to be using an "im viewissue --showHistory" call. - Using this call, it doesn't seem to be possible to reduce the output to a subset of fields contained in the item.   This leads to:   - Necessity to retrieve complete history of the item, including all history records and all f

A Java application uses mksapi-jar client library and attempts to retrieve item history using "im viewissue --showHistory" calls for multiple items one by one. Running requests agains the remote server and through the local IntegrityClient shows huge difference in response times and network traffic.   The table below shows response times for several items using local and remote integration points. All tests are executed from the same machine.   The meanings of the columns are:   - Size (M): The size of the raw XML response in MB - Local: The duration of the request if using a Local Integration Point integrationPoint = integrationPointFactory .createLocalIntegrationPoint(major, minor); - Remote: The duration of the request if using a Remote Integration Point integrationPoint = integrationPointFactory .createIntegrationPoint(host, port, secure, major, minor); - Factor: Remote / Local (rounded)   Test Results:   Size (M) Local Remote Factor 1 :02 :06 3 1

PROBLEM:   The PTC Integrity server responds with uncompressed XML to the calls issued though the Java API client library (mksapi-jar-4.16.1413.jar). The returned XML is even pretty-printed and thus additionally increased in size. For certain calls, for example retrieval of the history for an item using "im issue --showHistory" command, this leads to significant performance and traffic penalties. Today user if user wants to know which checkpoint is working , the user is left with the option of opening the project history to find the details of checkpoint or open project information to find detail, instead easy way is in project view there is label column , integrity can show the details in sandbox or project view so that user dont need to open project history or project information.

Hello All, If a Visio file (containing macros) is included in Integrity, only the Visio-icon is displayed instead of the usual preview. Other Visio files (without macros) are previewed as desired.   Can't Integrity handle macros or why is there no preview displayed?   Many thanks in advance!

Hi PTC community, I went through the Requirement Connector 3.4 user guide. The entire document seems to talk only about roundtrip configurations, which is for two-way synchronizing of Requirements between Integrity and Doors. What we require is just a plain export of requirements from Integrity in ReqIF format (so that it can be imported onto Matlab Simulink). The exported requirements from Integrity are not going to be imported back again in Integrity. The document does not seem to explicitly specify about such possibility. If any user who has used Requirement Connector can comment/answer, it would be highly helpful. I do not have access to raise support case and hence approaching the community.

Hello All, To make it easier to create notification rules, I would like to provide our users a batch file they just need to run. Creating and running the file is no problem and works fine, but "Set Email Notifications" should look like this: Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find out how to set up "New Value" via the CLI.   When I output the above settings in the CLI (via "Im viewuser") I get the following NotificationRule: ((((field["Assigned User"] <> "me") and (field'["Assigned User"] = "me") and (field["Modified By"] != "admin")) and ((field["Type"] = "Request for Change") or (field["Type"] = "Change Order") or (field["Type"] = "Defect")))) The "New Value" of "Assigned User [New Value]" is completely missing here. If I would use this in the batch file, I would not get the desired notifications.   How can I set the "New Value" in the CLI? What do I have to enter?   Many thanks in advance!

Hello    [Problem] From a selection of Items, I want which items are changed since a given date. The selection of items must be user definable (via the query builder UI) and we will call this the Items-Of-Interest Query (IOI)  . The changed since query (CS). The execution of the command/query will be done via the Java-CLI API.    From a functional viewpoint I want to de following CS(IOI, timestamp) . Note, the timestamp will be increment every 5 minutes or so.    What would be the best solution.  1) im viewquery IOI and modify it  2) get the result of the IOI query and put it as the selection of the CS query 3) insert the IOI query into the CS query 4)  ...    Any help is highly appreciated!    Thanks in advance Arjen      

Hello All,                 This is regarding a recent announcement by Microsoft regarding the New Microsoft Edge Browser based on the Chromium Engine. This new version of Edge was released in January 2020 and is based on the Chromium Engine (same engine as used by Google Chrome browser).   As of today, Microsoft has not forced this as an update in its Windows 10 Client versions, but we believe this will be rolling out as a default in a future version of Windows 10. Customers can download the chromium-based version from the Microsoft download site and on install it replaces the Microsoft Edge Browser on your machine with the new Edge Browser.   How does this impact your Windchill RV&S deployments?
