Hello All, I am using PTC RV&S 13.2 and sometimes the tool gives me option to delete large sum of data and sometimes not. My use case is after i branch a requirement document, i filter the requirements that i do not want in the new branched document. After applying the appropriate filter, i select all items and see that the delete option is disabled. I am able to delete one requirement at a time. but it is not efficient when there are more than 100 to 500 line items. Under view -> option->editng-> operations mode : i have tried selecting all the 3 modes and still sometimes i get the delete option and sometimes not.   

Hello,Is it possible to delete (or brake) the branch Information between documents?For example I have document A and create a branch document B.Now I have the Information in document B, that document A is the root document.How can I delete the root document Information in document B?I've tried to change the reuse property but that's not exactly what I am looking for.Sometimes it is a bit confusing if I run a document report and see the branch or the root document.Thank you very much for your help!Regards,Florian

Hi Windchill community, I am currently facing the following issue. I am trying to export an ALM Requirements document to MS Word format using a custom gateway template. I am also exporting the "Decomposed From" field containing the traces to other documents. What I want to do is to only export a sub-set of the traces per requirement. For example:Requirement 1 in document to be exported has traces to:Requirement A.2 in Document ARequirement B.3 in Document BRequirement B.4 in Document B I want to use a filter that my export only shows the traces to Document A and filters all traces that point to document B. Is this possible using custom export templates? I have seen that traces have some properties e.g. the Document ID that they trace to but I am not sure if I can grab those in the word export template and use a conditional on it. Thanks,Michael

Hi, AllIs there a way to raise the front digit (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, ...) of the version of the project or sandbox like the Major function in document check-in?  

The current version is 1.xx, but I want to change the version to 2.0 and 3.0 What's the method?Example: Checkpoint

I'm new To Windchill RV&S (12.4) and I'm implementing a little library (in java) that will connect to Integrity Server.I would like to list all client & server connections to know if the current user needs to connect with its credentials. For the moment I use the function IntegrationPoint.getCommonSession() and if an error is generated I call IntegrationPoint.createNamedSession(username, password) but I would like to know if there is a way to know in advance if the user is logged in and what their rights are.I'm trying to implement  im diag --diag=connections  but couldn't find any documentation, I think it might be deprecated  

By accident my local (bad idea, I know) WRC workspace was killed by an update procedure of windows. C:/user was totally erased.This workspace contained the personal configuration and several ReqIF-exchange projects. Is there a chance to map RV&S-IDs and the "old" identifiers in a new replication-DB?Export use case.we still have the RV&S documents and the formerly exported data ReqIF-files (with the original ReqIF-identifiers)Import use case:we have the formerly imported ReqIF-files and the corresponding imported RV&S documentsProbably the same already happened to others. Does anybody have a workaround, skripts or similar to restore the deleted former database? This would be very appreciated because lots of ReqIF exchange is depending on this. 

Hi everyone,   I'm currently supporting a Windchill RV&S instance (we're using 12.5.0.0 currently) for my company, and I'm having a bit of a problem. Our security team has pointed out that every time Windchill RV&S connects to a database, it exposes the ldap.credential password by sending it as clear text.    I've tried to find any documentation on solving this issue, but for the most part I could only find solutions to protect the password on the server, and not when Windchill RV&S is communicating with the database.   Is there another way to secure the database password where it then doesn't send the database password as clear text, maybe something along the lines of a Kerberos, SAML, Oauth, or OIDC method?  Has there been a recent update that solved this issue?   Thank you for your help with this in advance!  

Hi. I am using the com.mks.api Java library to get data from Windchill. But even when I try to run the command with windows command line, it takes minutes to get response from a simple command excecution. I tried the viewissue and issues commands. Also, I tried to use small Data from Windchill to rule out the too-big-data-problem. Also, I tried to use the method  executeWithInterim(cmd, false)   instead of execute(), it does not help.I also tried to use the same session for multiple commands. I do get an error but not sure whether it has something to do with slow response:   Error occurred when running command: null com.mks.api.response.CommandAlreadyRunningException at com.mks.connect.CmdRunnerCreatorImpl.release(CmdRunnerCreatorImpl.java:143) at com.mks.connect.UserApplicationSessionImpl.release(UserApplicationSessionImpl.java:494) at com.mks.connect.UserApplicationSessionImpl.release(UserApplicationSessionImpl.java:475)

Hello Community, We have 3 servers, Dev, QA & Production in Winchill RV&S and the client preferences are by default set to production environment. If a user selects save the environment as default, there are no options in RV&S to switch to a different server. Can somebody help to understand if there is any other way?     

Dear Community,We are looking for an option to extract the data out of PTC Integrity 10.8 and store into a validated archive location (or tool) as per compliance requirements.In our company we are using PTC Integrity 10.8 for Change Management purposes and will need to migrate the data out as we moved to another solution to document our Change Controls.Note about product: Windchill RV&S (formerly Integrity Lifecycle Manager)/ Release 10.8 We would need to extract the Change Control records, their history, attachments and approvals. Currently we are in Sustained Support mode and cannot get any assistance from PTC beside going through documentation, KB or Community.Hope that someone has experience with similar activity or can at least suggest a starting point to investigate our options further. Some possibilities that we have on our mind:- export record by record through UI using a bot- using CLI to export record details, history, attachments, approvals- integrate

I am getting this error since I have restored an Oracle backup.The user/password are correct.I have changed it in the Oracle DB several times with simple password to avoid errors. I can connect through sqlplus and sqldeveloper all the times.Ok, I can be wrong even copy paste user and pass from a txt that works with sqlplus, but the next test is what made me atonished:I have created a new Oracle user with sqldeveloper with system user,Granted ALL permissionsI have set this new user in the config PTC IRS (3.4.0.5)Pushed the button Create tables, without errorTables are created in Oracle in the correct userSaved the configBut, when I am going to create a roundtrip, I get the same error!! ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon deniedAny ideas?? Thanks in advance   

Hi,I would like to point out and discuss a problem that we have with RV&S:The support period of 2 years is too short. Explanation:Normally, you do not want to install the first released version, but wait for a first patch to remove the biggest problems. This shrinks the 2 years of support to 18..20 months. Additionally, a new release has new system requirements.So we do not only have to update RV&S itself, but eventually also the server OS, the database, the database OS, the clients OS (and the according licenses).This makes every new release a major IT task with regard to time AND cost. We as a medium-sized company have problems to manage these 2 year update periods.What do you think?

After installing WindChill Client 13.1.0.1 i have on some PC the problem the createCmdRunner command give me a com.mks.connect.HttpCmdRunnerImpl instead of com.mks.connect.ClientCmdRunnerImpl. The result is this Errormessage as soon as i want to call a execute on this runner: Connect to 127.0.0.1:31000 [/127.0.0.1] failed: Connection refused: connect The question is now why do i get with the same code different runner on different pc?

Hello, The "im issues" command with queryDefinition (producing a user-defined query or a quick query) works in these two cases:WEB URL: http://server/im/issues?queryDefinition=%28field%5BID%5D=448471%29 CLI: im issues --queryDefinition=(field[ID]=448471) But not in the GUI URL case (error MKS154475 Incorrect URL format is generated):integrity://server/im/issues?queryDefinition=%28field%5BID%5D=448471%29 I saw here that may be double encoding is required, so I tried this:integrity://server/im/issues?queryDefinition=%2528field%255BID%255D=448471%2529but it still generates error MKS154475 Incorrect URL format.Appreciating your support. Mohamed

Hi all,  as a System Architect I am looking for a way to define the attribute fields that trigger a suspect OSLC link between Polarion and PTC Modeler. When referencing requirements from Polarion, there are some fields in Polarion that are not relevant in regards to impact analysis. When they change in Polarion, this should not lead to a suspect element in PTC Modeler. I would be happy to only use the relevant fields for suspecting.  Is there a way to configure those fields? Thanks, David
