Html content( data getting from Infotable) using TWX email

Hi ,   I am trying displaying infotable field values in html table as email content or body.but it not taking as variable? can anyone help me for this query? below is code for displaying html content. its printing rowValue1 , rowValue2 as it is. Button label/display name as output

Hi, Is it possible to fetch the button label or display name as a output in runtime. We know that the button doesn't have input/output arrows option to bind any service for its name. But we wanted to take the display name or label of button in the runtime. So, is there any other possible way to achieve this?   Thanks in advance, Shalini V.

service execution is slow when called from a mashup

I am using ThingWorx 8.3.2-b535.  I have an sql query service that returns 1 row of data (containing about 6 columns).  when I execute this service from the thing it takes around 1 second.  When this service is called from a mashup it takes around 7 seconds.  This mashup executes about 7 other services which are also sql queries and they generally take less than 1 second.   What is the proper way to diagnose why this is occurring?

How to set a BLOB property using LoadBinary Service

How do I use the LoadBinary Service of FileRepository TT to convert a pdf file in my SystemRepository to array/stream of bytes and assign it to a blob type property of a separate Thing.   Currently, If I'm running the LoadBinary service with the file path as input in the Composer for the SystemRepository Thing, nothing is returned by the service.

Calling service a specific times throughout the day

Hello,   I am trying to call my service 'ResetSheetCount' on each hour throughout the day. (7,8,9,10,11,12, .etc). I am wondering what is the best route to go with this. To use a timer that calls my service every second (use JS to determine whether the time is correct to reset sheet count) or create 8 or 9 schedulers that will execute the service at the correct times. Any other suggestions would be great.    Thanks

When i hit thingworx url Apache Tomcat goes down

Hello ,   I have configured Thingworx 8.1 on server . but when i hit URL apavhe tomcat automatically down. below is my platform-setting.jason file Also find Tomcat java setting -Dserver -Dd64 -XX:+UseG1GC -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Djava.library.path=C:\Tomcat 8.5\webapps\webapps\Thingworx\WEBINF\extensions   Add above in Tomcat JAVA configure but tomcat is going down attached log files . Installing on Windows server. Please help in this case.

Hi   We have a use-case where we collect positions in x,y,z from an in-house positioning system. We want to show it in a plot-diagram. I can plot X & Y, but there is no widget for X, Y, Z.    Do you know how to proceed, any workaround or plans to have a X, Y, Z plot-widget? Also want to do a heat-diagram using the same data. On pot.ly (https://plot.ly/javascript/3d-charts/) I can find a lot of nice charts to use, can I use these in ThingWorx Mashup?   Thanks

log the action performed in a mashup

Hi, We wanted to log each and every action performed by a user in a runtime mashup in a log table that we have.  For eg: If there is a button named 'Add' and if the user clicks that, a entry with 'the user clicked the button Add' should be logged in our table. If the user navigates to another screen from one screen using navigation button, that should be logged that he navigated from so and so screen to that screen.  How can we make it generalised so that we can use the same snippet or service for all the mashups? Issues with Analysis Model manual test TW Analytics 8.1

Hi, I am facing issues doing the "manual test" with my Analysis Model. For some some models (Screenshot(154).png) I am not allowed to fill in values (Screenshot(155).png). For some other models I can fill in values but then the Analysis Job produces a failure (Screenshot(152).png and Screenshot(153).png).  Screenshot(156).png shows the Application Log right after the failure. Thingworx Flow Error

Thingworx 8.5 Trial.Thingworx Analytics 8.5.Thingworx Flow 8.5.   I am getting the following error (Invalid Connection) when I attempt to create a connection to Thingworx from Flow.   Also getting Error 404 when attempting to add a Workflow from within a Thing.   Have logged a case with support - but is it because I am using a trial?

Hello, has anyone here manage to create a web application / E-commerce website using thingworx? Am pretty new to thingworx and I know thingworx is use for as a platform for IoT development. But is it weird if I use thingworx to build a E-commerce or a web application without involving the IoT aspects? Also if it's possible, how should I categorise "Things, Things Template, Things Shape" as?

Binding a persistent variable

I have a thing "GLOB" that contains global persistent properties I have another thing "THG1" that has a property "prop1" that is bound to one of GLOB.   Do I need to set also on THG1 that "prop1" is persistent or is it enough the persistent flag on GLOB ? From a simple test (by just restarting THG1) seems that it is enought set persistent the prop at GLOB .... but I have a cloud instance and cannot restart the whole app easily ....

Evaluating ThingWorx 8.5.0; Getting "License has not been installed" on the composer.

Hi, We are evaluating ThingWorx 8.5.0 that is installed on a linux server. We are running the platform in a disconnected mode (no internet available). We are following the guide : https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/learning-paths/getting-started-on-thingworx-platform/thingworx-foundation-quickstart . We can create and save tags, ThingShapes and ThingTemplates. But on the step 5, while saving the Thing, we are getting "Licence has not bee installed" error. The same can be seen while importing the sample entities from other guide, creating Data Shape, Value Streams, creating a new user etc. Can you please help us understand what might be the problem?   We have generated ../ThingworxPlatform/licenceRequestFile.txt file containing device id. We went through the Licensing Guide for disconnected sites (http://support.ptc.com/lm/ThingWorx_Navigate_8.1_Licensing_Instructions.pdf) . But getting 'Access denied:insufficient privileges' error due to trail version acco

Scrollable mashups in Thingworx 8.5

Have you ever wondered if its possible to create a responsive scrollable mashup in Thingworx?   While creating an application you might run into an issue where you want to fit too much content to a single responsive page. Let's say you want to create a nice looking modern homepage or about page in Thingworx for your application. It might be challenging to do so but its very well possible. Let me show you a workaround.   1. In the Mashup builder select Layout tab, change Positioning to Static and set Fixed size to your desired Height. Leaving the Width field blank will allow Thingworx to set the Width automatically and stay responsive. 2. Now you need to plan in advance a little bit. Select a Layout widget and drag it to the blank page. A window similar to the one shown below will appear. Switch to Vertical orientation, choose your desired number of rows and click Done. 3. Your panel is now divided into equally spaced rows. Now you can change the proportions in the Layout wi

Scrollable mashup

Hello, is there a way to make a mashup scrollable? Just like any other web page, when there is no more room for content, a scroll bar would appear and you would be able to scroll down to see more.  How do I do that, if that's even possible? Thank you.

Model deployment failed on connector TW.AnalysisServices.ThingPredictorConnector

Hi, I have the ThingWorx 8.1.2-b51, it is not a trial or student license. I can upload datasets and create models but at the moment I cannot publish them. I get the error: Model deployment failed on connector TW.AnalysisServices.ThingPredictorConnector. I have tried to change the predictive-standalone.yml and redeploy the ThingPredictor JAR file from the command line.   In command line (running the JAR) I get warnings like:  log4j: WARN No appenders could be found for logger. log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. Cannot resolve place holder for ${microservice.server}   And different warnings about varaibles (ex: data.service.url.prefix) being set twice.   I believe there was a previous installation of the PredictorConnector, maybe uninstall the previous one might solve the problem? How can I do that?   Kind regards.
