Hii'm trying to build an Creo utility that adds "non latest" version of epmdoc to WS.Unfortunately, this is not supported through the toolkit - as specified in Article - CS7762So, i'm thinking to add epmdoc to WS using Windchill api first and then connect to relevant WS using Creo API.did any of you tried this approach ? any other suggestions/ideas ?i'm planning to facilitate  AddToWorkspaceAction for that. Many thanks,

All,Am not getting successful in removing the link between parent and child parts in a Product Structure / BOM through "Import from Spreadsheet" functionality (Product - Details - Action - Import from Spreadsheet). The validation of the excel file is getting succeeded, but on hitting Finish, the structure of the assembly is unchanged. "Delete" is the option that is used in the column Action.For adding children under a parent assembly, the functionality works all OK (Action is "Add").We are on 9.1 M060.A related case 10574758 and PTC article CS38362 details that the functionality of creating a new View version of a part through "Import from Spreadsheet" has got a bug with 9.1 M060 and had been fixed at 9.1 M070. Is there similar issue for importing Product Structure / BOM (especially for Delete/Remove link operation) at 9.1 M060?Has anybody ever got succeeded in importing / altering Product structure through this functionality?Thanks in Advance for your help,Prabhakaran V.

I am fairly new to windchill. I am trying to checkout the non-latest iteration and make a modification. Basically a user added parts to an assembly that should have been added to a family table in our library so I need to correct that. The preference is locked at the org level but not the site. I have added my username to both the site and org admin accounts. Previously when I wanted to revert the iteration I had to log in as the org admin unlock the preference and set the preference to allow. This temporarily would enable all users to have this ability. Is there a way I can avoid having to change the preference every time by giving my personal account the ability to check out the non-latest iteration? On a side note, creo does not like when I switch accounts. I had setup bat that would change the cache location based off of username but PDMlink still showed a warning about how the session is registered. Is there a better way to switch between windchill accounts in Creo?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.0The issue is regarding the Work group Manager.

I'm trying to use the FTA Event Library to organize event calculation data parameters for multiple similar but independent events.  I want these events to use the same calculation data but have different descriptions.  I have my calculation data saved in the FTA Event Library but when I go to update events (after I update the failure rate data, for example) it overwrites the data AND the description of the event.  How can I just update the calculation data from a library event?

We need to extract 3D and 2D data from an old WindChill server.  Everything is up and running, we just need someone who has WindChill and developer experience to run appropriate scripts.  Let me know if you can help.Thank you.Boris

Good dayDoes anyone have an easy to understand guide with pictures on how the versioning scheme works in Windchill that I can use to explain.We are using the standard OOTB version A.1, A.2.....B.1, B.2....The users are asking the following questions.1.) How do we know that the version we see, lets say A.4 is the last correct version of a document2.) If the Document is on a B.1 does that mean it is a newer version that A.4

Good dayI am New to Windchill and I would like to try and get clarity on the following.At this stage we are only working with documents in Windchill,Plans, Processes, Procedures, System requirements and so on which are all Documents.We have various Authors  that create the Documents, however we also have Product specialists that need to review these Documents to verify the info is correct, make changes to the content and perhaps add sections.What process should I use for this in Windchill. Create New Review VS New Change Request VS New Promotion request to send a document for review and changes. 

Hello Community, I am looking for a quicker way to iterate an object to a specific iteration. For example, if the CAD document is in A.1 version, I want to iterate it to A.7. Instead of doing a check-out and check-in 6 times, is there any better way to do it? Thanks.HS

We have a code for each part in CREO. This code is a parameter in part. For cases where we have a part with a flexible component, each size has a code. To avoid having to create a family table (often with more than 200 instances), is there any other way for me to be able to search the code of one of these parts in Windchill and find its generic details?

Hi Community,   I want to add rules for subtasks that I start with Ad Hoc Activity. I want the task to not close and see the error message unless the user adds a document. I can do this for normal activities. but I couldn't add a rule for subtasks started with Ad Hoc Activity. Is there a way I can do this?

I have a setup with a remote webserver accessing a load-balanced application server. The app servers are headless ie no webserver is running on them ie only have Method server and Server Manager.Windchill is accessible via the loadbalancer URL.However when I update the configuration to access Windchill via the remote HTTP server the system returns:Service UnavailableThe server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. We currently have over 15 different attributes to (optionally) fill in when creating a part and for users it's getting a bit hard to understand all of them. It would be nice to add a way to find extra information on that attribute, but we can't seem to really find something.Possible things we would like:A tooltip on long hover with a explanation of what this attribute does:Or just a text block explaining what you see.Make the attribute label a hyperlink that links to a knowledge base.Is any of these possible in Windchill? Or maybe something else? Any help or insights would be much appriciated!

Just a quick share for vault maintenance. I noticed that when I was removing unreferenced files from one of my vault folders, this one folder failed to moving anything. mainvault, maincontentvault33 Site Name [master]; Vault Name [mainvault]; Folder Name [maincontentvault33]; Size Freed [5,693,163 KB]; Number Of Unreferenced Items [41,392]; Number Of Files For Cleanup [41,392]; Number Of Cleaned Files [0]; Number Of Failed Files [41,392]. All others succeeded. I checked the number of files in that folder. Dawned on my that its using my file vault threshold limit of 1M on the unreferenced subfolder. Paranoid and keeping copy of files. No biggie as this entire volume will be archived soon. Good dayI am a newbie with Windchill and I would like to find out if it is possible to have the numbering sequence start from 1 with every new product created. So when I check in my first document on a new product the numbering starts at 1 and not from the system where many other documents have already been checked in. Regards

We have assembly data with 3 revisions. 1st data upload has been done. 2nd revision data upload was made. The changed and added parts are located correctly in the second revision. 3rd revision data upload was made. We saw that only the deleted parts were deleted from all revisions. What's the problem ? Can you help me ?
