Hello,I have developed a custom action menu on WTPart (a default object in Windchill), but for some reason, the same action menu is appearing on its child objects as well.I would like to know how I can limit the display of this custom action menu only to the main WTPart object and not its children.Regards,Shrikant Bhosle

How can I assign a value to the attribute flow defined in WTPart?

Hi In our company we are using numbering in this format: xxxxxxx-FITTED1, xxxxxxx-FITTED2, xxxxxxx-FITTEDn. for various shapes of the same product. Like for example a tape padding or wires. The title of each instance may not be always the same either.  Can anyone advise how to:1) merge all entities of *-FITTED to one part "xxxxxxx" on the drawing board BOM table? 2) sum up the quantities (each) or cutting lengths (mm)? Many thanks to all in advance.   

Windchill PDMLink 12.1.2 Changed the code inside the workflow expressions, and need to assign the new workflow iteration to a part that has the old workflow iteration already running. But without start the workflow over.  Need to keep the same workflow point execution for the new workflow iteration.How can I do that?   

Hello experts.We have a few old templates created by folks who have long left the company.It looks like they call out roles that we have in or RoleRB file and a few we do not.I think they also call out the Permissions on Roles for those none RoleRB roles?Any guidance would be helpful

When i create a CN1(Full Track) with Part XYZ(BOM top Level) with revision A.2 in released state  as affected object only and do submit later.Create a Redline 1 for the Part XYZ and then move the CN1 to Pending Implementation state.Then i create a CN2(Fast Track) for the same Part XYZ with revision A.2 in released state as affected objects and do submit later.Create a Redline 2 for Part XYZ and then do a revise in implementation plan and the Redline 2 is successfully incorporated into  Part XYZ B.1Now when i cone back to the CN1 which is in pending implementation state. The affected object shows Part XYZ in A.2 version and does not get refreshed to Part XYZ B.1 Released version.What needs to be done so that the Affected objects are refreshed automatically.

Hi Community, I need to control some attributes in the flow, but I have controlled them, except for a few cases.The first error is if EN_LANG attributes in WTPart are empty, it gives an error for null value.The second error is that SURFACE_M2 attributes are defined with com.ptc.core.meta.common.FloatingPoint type, but SURFACE_M2 attributes can receive values automatically from creo, and when this value is an integer (for example 1), it gives an error in getting the value.I tried to get the values of these attributes in the code below com.ptc.core.lwc.server.PersistableAdapter obj = new com.ptc.core.lwc.server.PersistableAdapter(part,null,java.util.Locale.getDefault(),new com.ptc.core.meta.common .UpdateOperationIdentifier()); obj.load("EN_LANG","SURFACE_M2"); EN_LANG=(java.lang.String) obj.get("EN_LANG"); SURFACE_M2=(com.ptc.core.meta.common.FloatingPoint) obj.get("SURFACE_M2");

Add ability to customize task notification emails.More than...The handful of additional calls that can be added to the subject/body an message per the Help (Workflow EMail Notifications - activityAttributes, activity NotificationUrl and getDeadline).Or the suggestion of using Email Robots or Expression Robots that require updates to all workflows and does not work for previously started processes. It seems as if modifying the General.html (and locale) and registering a custom template processor is not a supported customization because it impacts all emails.

We would like to move the database to a Standard Edition of SQL Server.Are there any drawbacks to moving the Windchill database from an Enterprise to a Standard version?Are there any best practices to follow?Thank you very much.

SQL and reporting is not my forte... so looking for some pointers. I want to have a report of all CAD drawings that exist at all levels of an EndItem eBOM (so Design view only). Something like this: I do have multiple WTPart subtypes and only need 1 type reported on with it's CAD Drawing associations. The idea is to get a snapshot of total quantity of drawings vs. how many are at a particular state (from week to week perhaps). Added complication is that we have Creo and NX and some of the drawings may not be classified as "CAD Drawing" type but instead may show up as "CAD Assembly" with a xxx_DWG in the name.  For input, is it possible to have only the available End Items be selectable via drop down or something like that? 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.0.0While evaluating the SiliconExpert extension in Windchill Dev, but is seems neither SiliconExpert BOM Health Check, nor SiliconExpert Starter BOM Health are working at the moment.Here are the errors that I facedError : Invalid configuration, please check the Windchill Extension manager.

In Desktop Integration with Windows Explorer, is it possible to setup the system to see only the latest version of documents? 

I have email set up to send but it is sending from a single user that I have set up so that I can access the mail server. I am connected to Active Directory for my users. How do I set it up so that the email shows the user's address instead of my generic Microsoft account?  I know that it can be done but I just can't find my notes on this.

I recently imported a number of bills of material into Windchill Risk and Reliability 11.1It would appear that the part numbers for a few parts were recognized by some form of library.  For these parts, the classification, category and subcategories were filled in.What I noticed, though, was that there were consistently mixups between inductors and ICs.  How can I locate the library that these parts are being identified from?  We have not put these parts into proprietary libraries that we created, my guess is that the libraries must be part of our Windchill install.   I want to track the source of this down.  Doing so would also give me some experience with setting up our own libraries of parts from our analyses. Thanks, Chris

Hi Community, How can I get the information of the attributes in the stream I created in the task I designed with JSP? 

Imagine several people working from the same skeleton using Publish Geometry and Copy Geometry. When changing some dimension of the skeleton and checking in again, is it possible that those who only have the copy geometry of the skeleton receive a message informing them that they must update their workspaces?
